  1. Yes, its better, they removed the brown paper bags from his trouser pocket, cured the limp.
  2. Europa League qualifying kicked off today with 3 games, including Shamrock Rovers (drew 0-0) Estonian Cup Round of 64 saw Paide beat JK RTT by 31-0.
  3. Hope we don't let him go for a song.
  4. One more Cat A game (surprise surprise Boscombe is Cat A), one less Cat B. Otherwise the same.
  5. Oh good, our little Villa supporter has returned. See happens every season, last home game of season, Cat A. Not just something to **** you off, though clearly it has.
  6. True, otherwise they would fall over.
  7. This thread ia supposed to be about who will travel to Austria. It seems pretty clear to me that just about anyone who was in the training video yesterday will be involved, with the probably exception of Morgan, of course. Koeman said quite clearly that none of the players coming back next week will be involved. So no point talking about Stephens for the purposes of this thread, as he is not back yet. Turnbull is back, and as the only available CB is nailed on to be involved, I would think. Stephens though is probably more highly rated than Turnbull, guess one of them might be 4th choice if we don't resign Toby. Its going to be a strange team playing Austria with so few current first teamers actually available.
  8. Maybe 'Arry will hear the word bung and tip the wink to our friends down the road at Boscombe.
  9. Not to mention Shaw is a lefty while Clyne is only a right footer. Makes a difference you know, premium paid for lefties.
  10. Apart from the small issues that without Morgan and as Stephens still counts as U21 for this coming season (cut off is 1 Jan) then we only have 19 players that we can register for the squad. Sure, otherwise we are in great shape Doubt that Mayuka will still be here come September, although to be fair you have also missed Gaston (and Osvaldo) from your list. I think its right, but still have a doubt about Shane Long being HG. He joined Reading from Cork in June 2005, when he was 18 years and 5 months (nearly), but the criteria says to be HG they need to spend 3 full years before they are 21. But there are some woolly words about being in the season after they turn 21, so it is probably OK, but no doubt he is a "borderline" case.
  11. I think the point is that if we replace Morgan with Clasie AND Gueye, as was reported yesterday then you could argue that the squad will be stronger. Of course neither individually is as good as Morgan, but if we bring in both, that's a different matter.
  12. Probably still on a flight back from Uruguay, they always seem to get delayed or something.
  13. Thought he played for Villa.
  14. The new squad photos are looking good. The Eterna watch is particularly striking on Shane's left arm there.
  15. This. Apart from the bit about him having a fantastic match at Anfield - he didn't, he actually cost us the game.
  16. They can have the greatest recruitment department in the world, but will not succeed while they still have Brenda as manager, either in terms of the first team winning, or developing players. I hope he stays there as long as possible, because once they replace him they will probably find success easier to come by.
  17. Isgrove is no longer u21, he has to be named in the squad (unless he gets loaned out again) and frankly we need to name him to make up the numbers for the squad.
  18. Yes, Lloyd Isgrove.
  19. Express (BBC Gossip) says we have both Classie and Gueye lined up to come in, 10m and 7m respectively.
  20. Don't think he was called up, wasn't on the bench (squad of 22) for either fixture (Belgium or Albania). Didn't see anything reported about him being called up, unlike everyone else.
  21. Morgan wasn't involved against Belgium or Albania.
  22. Not through sell-on clause, but they should benefit from the solidarity contribution for 2012-13, the season when he turned 20, even though he only played half a season before moving to Ipswich.
  23. ...and released by us when he was 16 (2009) before the current regime. Still, hopefully a nice little earner for Chippenham Town. Think we could have done worse, but suspect he would not have re-signed for us anyway. A good prospect, but probably not at LB.
  24. Giving him starts is one thing, but getting some finishes out of him is another, hardly ever plays 90 minutes. He is a wasted talent, but too many delayed returns from internationals, injuries and basic lackadaisicalness has prevetned him getting a run. At least the international duties seem to have dried up.
