Hard to admit with him being a Skate, but he was reasonably good tonight and did make the goal. There were far worse players, Rooney and Gerrard (again) for a start. I suppose at least Rooney scored a goal that I think I could have probably scored. Please God that is the last time we see Stevie ****ing G in an England shirt. He ****s up for Liverpool and he ****s up for England.

Surely we are not going to sign Javi de Pedro. Next we'll hear that Rudi Skacel will be joining as life style coach.
-
He isn't non-exec though. He was announced as CChairman of both the holding company and football board. May not need to be full time all season but right now he should be v busy. Also what happened to Hans Hofstetter.
-
Has the other guy gone as well? The commercial guy who gaffed about the financial situation and has never been heard of again since. Can't even remember his name, but seemed to be a walking disaster.
-
Not just Kruger. What happened to the other ****, can't even recall his name, who came in and made total gaff about finances and has not been heard of again since. Hopefully he has been shown the door.
-
Our start looks good, including the first game. 3 points there last season, why not this.

Pochettino will have been sacked before Spuds visit us in April. Presumably "Koemen" will be in charge for them by then

Explains it all in this YouTube video. It really is very clear (if you understand Dutch, I only have Double Dutch). It looks more like 3-5-2 to me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeYstmFNmmw

5-3-2

Holland is frequently used as a pars pro toto to refer to the whole country. It is generally accepted even in the Netherlands but some particularly from the other parts of the Netherlands (i.e. outside the provinces of North and South Holland, dislike the use of "Holland" as a substitute for "the Netherlands". Bit like people who use England when they really mean Gt Britain or the UK.
-
Let's not get into the debate but here anyway is my view, for what it's worth. Fortunately your view is not worth much.
-
Only because no-one speaks it. Most Dutch people speak better English than most people in England, except for the ones who live near the German border, where they speak fluent German. Dutch is one of the easiest foreign languages to understand (at least to read) as it shares much with the English language. Impossible to learn though because you can't practice it.

Sounds a bit of a **** to me. Cor Blimey Mary Poppins.
-
Nope, we need to keep Yoshida, he is our only decent option if Lovren goes or is injured. Its Jos we need to offload, but with new Dutch manager he probably will be made captain.

Nepotism is a family tradition. Given that we are run by the daughter of the late owner, nepotism is hardly unheard of at SFC. At least its better than the old school tie way of doing things, dontcha know.

There has been a downgrade, it is now Phillip v1.0. No longer Phil.
-
To be fair, Johnson was fine, the issue at the back was Baines, awful, not helped by having the awful Rooney in front of him.
-
Well it does in everyone else's view. The Academy includes the U18 and U16 squads. Ignorant ****.
-
Bony was 12m, had less "big league" experience than Pelle. Is 4 years younger though, granted.
-
Still part of our Academy when he joined at 16 from Argyle. No different to Walcott (Swindon), Best (Notts Co) or Blackstock (Oxford)
-
Missed the bit about the PL, so discount Poke, Sparv and Mills I guess.
-
Not to mention Baird, Blackstock, Sparv (36 caps for Finland), Chambers, Ward-Prowse, Gallagher, Ranger, Poke, Mills*2. I don't see any reason to knock Man City though, given that most of their products came through when they were in lower divisions like us, people seem to forget it wasn't so long agao that they were in the 3rd tier as well. True that not much has come out of their academy in the last 2-3 years though despite the massive investment in that department.
-
3 of the back 5 play for Feyenoord, perhaps Ronnie might think about that.
-
**** poor ITV as usual, apparently John Miller who played for Corinthians and introduced football to Brazil, during the opening ceremony. They really are a bunch of idiots.
