  1. Working as defensive coaches for Norwich
  2. Is NC involved in the group hug before kick-off? I've never noticed him, perhaps we have a pop-up platform under the pitch, but not sure how it would work for away games.
  3. So, let me get this straight your suggestion for making us better away from home is to drop Lambert and Lallana. Interesting point of view. But completely bonkers.
  4. Adkins actually said "touch and go for next weekend". Reading his code I would suggest that means he will miss Fulham. only.
  5. Seems consistent with what I've seen so far of him (consistently inconsistent). When he's good he is very very good, when he is not he might as well not be on the pitch. I did think last week that he looked good because JWP is perhaps too similar. Hopefully with a fit Spiderman and Davis together they will look good more often than not. I have very high hopes of Davis, hope he doesn't disappoint. From what I saw on NA interview Spiderman may not be out for too long, touch and go for next game probably means not ready though, would be foolish to play him if not completely ready.
  6. ********, really bad news. Far more concerning than anything else I've read today on here.
  7. Very good, it really is educational on here sometimes ;-) "Col-aun" - a meeting of waters. Do you really think this is what Ottery meant? I never had him down as a Celtic scholar. I cannot pretend that I knew this even tough I have lived here for 30+ years now, but confirmed it with Google and the Calne Rugby Club history.
  8. The art of the understatement defined...
  9. Afraid this might happen, he is key for us this season and has been immense so far. Any hint of what the problem is? I guess we will have to hope Steve Davis can step up, apart from against Villa have been somewhat underwhelmed by him so far, but sure he can do better (he was finally beginning to show what he could do until he was subbed last week).
  10. Watersmeet is a nice place, i don't see the similarity at all :-)
  11. Bit of an odd reaction from you ART. Seems to me that Adkins made a lot of difference today at half-time. In any case playing away to Everton and without Morgan are you really surprised we lost today? The only surprise for me is that it was only 3-1. I do happen to agree with you about J-Rod (not so much he is useless but he is being played out of position), I don't really know why Adkins persists with that, but I guess that's where he thinks he will develop into and why he bought him.
  12. 2 posts from Calne in succession, spooky :-)
  13. Exactly as expected, even got me 10 points in the Prediction League. Anyone writing off our season because we lost to Everton has no idea about how Everton are playing this season and has not watched any of their games. If they play like they are all season they will be Top 4 at least (but I expect they will fall away when a few injuries hit). Its annoying to lose, but hardly expect anything else, has always been the same at Goodison for the last 40+ years. Even then to keep it to 3-1 without Morgan almost feels like a result (well perhaps not almost). Was Clyne subbed for any injury related reason? Hope not and just hope Morgan will be back for Sunday.
  14. Have to say so far this season I think Everton are better than Arsenal, I may not be happy with what is happening but realistic enough to know that this was always likely to be the way things would go today, and that was before I found out Morgan was not playing.
  15. Has anyone really said this season we are screwed without Yoshida, Ramirez, Lallana or Lambert (maybe we would be but we haven't really had that opportunity). But anyone who thinks we can do without our most influential player would be crazy.
  16. So you think J-Rod up front instead of Punch is the reason we are losing 3-1 (Morgan aside)?
  17. As expected, apart from first 20 minutes which was a shock, can't see why anyone is surprised. We were going to struggle before we lost Morgan, Everton are very very good this season (Leeds notwithstanding) and we have set up wrong for them, with no height in the middle and our best (in terms of pace) full back on the wrong side, no disrespect to Frazer who I like). Should have played Jos in the middle and Yosh as LB. But as I said we are buggered without Spiderman (and Cork) anyway.
  18. Its white, metal and has a net attached to stop Gaston hitting the fans behind it when he scores
  19. He plays in midfield He plays in the hole Gaston Ramirez has scored us a goal
  20. ****, no Morgan, huge loss. Clyne on the left, Richardson right, he will be skinned methinks. Could be a long afternoon with no real height to combat Fellaini. They are a tall side. COYS
  21. Still potentially affects us though as a club that can loan players out, I think that is what the OP was getting at. Lee Dickson for instance and possibly one or two others. In my view loans out are not as important as they were with a much more competitive "reserve" aka u21 league in place this season and set to be re-launched next.
  22. Agreed, but to be fair they appear not to be Neville's words, but the words of whoever was interviewing him/writing the article.
  23. 25 November
  24. BBC doesn't say Lee is long term, Adkins said it was very short term problem, and he can be seen clearly training on SaintsPlayer, no sign of a cast or anything. Mayuka picked up injury against Villa.
