  1. Wasn't Hamill the player that Whisky George managed to turn into a tub of lard? Or am I confusing him with another loanee?
  2. Our keeper would not be seen dead in a blue shirt
  3. I get the feeling that we will be linked with an awful lot of players in the next few months assuming we get promoted, most of the links will be nothing more than speculation by lazy journos (is there any other sort?) and most of the players mentioned will be utter dross. This one illustrates exactly what I mean.
  4. He was outstanding on Saturday as well, just that some people only want to remember the missed chance/"dive" incident.
  5. Morgan is still our best center mid, problem is that him and Hammond together does not work. Hammond is well suited to some games, where finesse is not the be all and end all, today was probably one of those games. We will need to strengthen in this area for next season though. Don't think there is too much to argue about with the 2 wide players (Lallana and Chappers), but again we will need to strengthen on both sides in future (on the right we can improve on Chappers, on the left we need to give AL competition, so Messi would be a decent option there).
  6. There are very few managers who have a better win ratio than that, unless you count Celtic or Rangers maybe. Fergie has a win ratio of 59.44 at Manure, Mancini 58.5% an Citeh. Mourinho had 70.8% at Chelski though, so its clear NA is not yet the Chosen One (not bad for an interpreter).
  7. Your posts are a bit worrying, even after the edit. I thought on the couch was iffy.
  8. I just hope they get 6 points in the next 5 days. Beyond that I don't give a feck.
  9. It probably should not have been a penalty, difficult to see it was deliberate handball, but they had 2 stronger cases earlier. But it doesn't matter to us, a draw or loss for Wet Spam amounts to just about the same thing.
  10. Great result, really didn't matter whether it was a loss or a draw. If results go right we could be promoted on Saturday (barring a mathematical improbability). Hope its a great week for Brighton. Not counting chickens though.
  11. I don't understand, is he predicting a close shave?
  12. Trouble with Guly is he always looks lazy on the bench.
  13. Yes, but not with the 4 you originally mentioned which is what I was responding to). Spiderman was often sub (but , but you said it was best with Chaplow, Hammond, Cork & Lallana, fact is that 4 only played twice as starters, so difficult to see how you can make that judgement. We were poor against Brighton, fortunately for us they imploded. Our best midfield 4 is still Schneiderlin, Cork, Chaplow and Lallana.
  14. Think that 4 only played twice together as starters, in the 2 games you mentioned. We were running away with the league way before those 2 games, usually with Spiderman playing.
  15. Frazer missed a few games already with no sub GK, was beginning to think Chung was the backup, but he's out as well, so I guess it must be Lambert.
  16. Bit concerned that Frazer has some problem that must have flared up again on Saturday. Not confident in Butters any more I'm afraid, but he will probably give his all against his old club. Not surprised that Guly has been left out, still rate him, but he was poor on Saturday. Butters and Chaplow might work down the right, certainly better than Butters backing up Guly.
  17. You didn't watch him on Saturday then. I suspect the problem might be that he is absolutely knackered after that game. Its easy to forget sometimes that AL was diagnosed with a heart problem a few years back, I have never seen him put so much effort in as he did against the Skates.
  18. Glad someone agrees with me, just a bit concerned its Glasgow :-( Don't want him necessarily because he's hard, but because he can pass the ball intelligently
  19. Morgan didn't need to make the challenge anyway. I am a great fan of Morgan, but he was reckless and in my opinio he would have not been playing Monday anyway, and we would have played much of today's game with 10 men if he had stayed on, he was so fired up today.
  20. Ok, I think I've found the answer to the problem. Still at least I know the words now.
  21. Agree with most of your assessment, and especially the above. Perhaps now people will begin to see that it is not Guly that is the problem. Its embarrassing when so-called supporters boo their own players off the pitch, but perhaps they should consider what they wish for, because de Ridder was no better. It is the rest of the players and how they use them that are the problem, but I swear Guly would have buried the chance the SDR fluffed. I like Guly but have to concede he was awful today, in the same way SDR was awful. Game spoiled for me a bit today by the knob sat in front of us. Completely out of his brain, falling over everyone. We really do have some mongs who are so-called supporters (never seen him before in the area that I sit regularly). Spent the part of the game that he was able to be at doing ****** signs to the Skates who were over a hundred yards away from him. I guess he thought he was proper hard, in fact he was a total ****, hope its a long time till scum like that come to the ground again, suspect he only comes to derbies.
  22. Well it was loud where I was sat for most of the game, the Itchen/Northam corner gave a good account of themselves, the Northam itself was quiet though. I thought the rest of the ground was rocking myself, although we went quiet for 10 minutes before the end when it looked like we were going to lose, its called nerves, and some could see our promotion chances ebbing away because we were too interested in some no-marks from down the road.
  23. In my view that player was on the pitch today, unfortunately with a blue shirt on. Scott Allan looks a very good prospect, maybe we can prise him away from the Baggies at the end of the season, in my opinion he is just what we need, and fits the bill well as a young player, even if not the intelligent bit.
  24. Officials were appalling, Dave Swarbrick would have got more decisions right, and he's a fiddle player. Missed so many decisions and got so many wrong (both ways), the only thing he did in our favour was to allow the goal, and it seems now that he even got that wrong, though I've yet to see it again (I know Appleton claimed it went off a Skate but video evidence shows otherwise according to Solent). I saw Ashdown make a great save from Cork (I think) tipping it over the bar and the **** gave a goal kick. Sharp, Lambert, Lallana all pulled back many times. Referee failed to get the game under control in first few minutes, dished out cards when he should have just calmed things down. Booking Sharp but not booking anyone for Skates despite them doing the same thing. Giving free kicks for nothing, it was a shameful performance from where I was sat (Itchen/Chapel corner). He should never be allowed to referee again, and I am usually a supporter of referees. How he only gave 3 minutes added in the 1st half as well, Morgan was down for about 5 alone.
  25. You're right, pitch invasions happened before the 70s, as a result fencing was erected to keep the morons off the pitch, which indirectly resulted in Hillsborough. As a result of the latter fences came down and we were banned from standing up in grounds. Utter morons that ran on the pitch after our second goal, and by the way they were not al men, most were little boys, some more little than others, and some were girls. One little kid of about 10, had no idea what he was doing but saw all the propa nawty boys running on the pitch, bunch of ****s.
