  1. Maybe not, but he clearly takes great delight in having a go at us.
  2. Not much to do with keepers, fact is many of his recent free kicks have not hit the target. We saw yesterday again an aspect of SRL that is a bit of a concern. Very occassionally he loses his rag, and when he does his game goes to pot. He was very luckly not to get booked yesterday with his anger (justified) at the referee after the Boro player was not booked. He should learn to shut up and get on with it. He lost it at home earlier this season (can't remember who against, possibly Leicester?) and also away at Brighton of course. Not one to criticise SRL often but this aspect of his game seems to be creeping in a little in the last few months.
  3. Poor analogy, tugboats tunr very quickly and have very tight turning circle. Jos is class and your observation is crap. Great header of the ball. Martin is also a great header of the ball (in defence) but lacks some of the skill to play the Claus role. Jose is not a great header, seems to have lost his way since he got his hair cut, the Samson effect. We will need 2 new CBs for next season whatever league we are in, because Jaidi and Danny will not be here.
  4. and we've not lost a match that we took the lead in since September 2009, oh!
  5. Actually some of us have incredibly long memories and maybe thats why we are not confident that we will wrap it up next Saturday. Also people are ****ed off because we blew the chance to be champions. I know all the Sky generation think promotion to the PL is all that matters, but that is crap. Its the "we're second in the league what more do people expect" dry fannies that really get up my nose (rather have a wet fanny any day)
  6. Don't agree, there would have been even less reason for him to go if we were in the same league, would have disliked him (or really his old man) more than I do now. Actually don't think we missed him that much, although he would have been just what we needed yesterday - why wasn't SDR in the squad?
  7. Why? He didn't do us any favours at SMS a few weeks ago.
  8. Just wish it was as simple as that. This is Saints. Another week of nervous tension, not knowing if we will go up or not, and after tamely surrendering the championship as well, that hurts. Boro have a terrible home record, hardly ever score 2 goals in a game, but we gave it away. Silly foul by Fonte. Don't agree about the 2nd yellow, yes it should have been but it doesn;t mean we would have won (or even drawn), teams often play well with 10. They were simply more up for it than we were tonite, but can't put my finger on why. We were poor in CM in the 1st half, Boro completely bossed it, but Adkins turned it around 2nd half. But CM is definitely area that has to be strengthened, only Morgan is consistent enough to be auto choice. Anyway ********, nail biter next Saturday I guess, thought we could have a nice relaxing game still hoping that we could nick the Championship.
  9. A 737 can get in and out of Eastleigh. Had the pleasure of being diverted from Heathrow a few years ago. It was tight though.
  10. I have one of those as well, I guess not really PC these days. Still in its original little plastic bag, no idea where I got it.
  11. Great, another song about a team we aren't likely to play again for a long time. Don't we have enough songs about them already? No offence to your nipper, but how about some songs about us, or about teams that we might actually play against.
  12. Any reason at all that McDermott should show us respect? What a pointless thread.
  13. Mad response. Its the team that are top of the league at the end of the season who have been most consistent. That could still be us or Reading. How can you say we have been more consistent than them, were you asleep during December and January?
  14. 3rd best actually, we overtook Middlesbro last night
  15. No need, they have anyway
  16. Actually agree, Hammond is probably more suited to the Peterboro match, bit less finesse and a bit of a crappy pitch, Spiderman definitely would get the nod against Middlesbro and Coventry though. The best bit though is that it gives us options, Spiderman out meant we were very limited in CM.
  17. I am sure Sylvio would be very welcome at St Marys, as long as he brings some of his nieces with him.
  18. To be fair its not just Alpine who thinks there was something wrong. I had 2 mates at work today independently thinking along similar lines. If someone else had started this thread it would have been given more credence.
  19. True, the full list also includes Newcastle, Finn Harps, Durban Celtic, Cape Town City, Newcastle KB United, Gosnells City, Durban City and Mirama Rangers. Other than that he was indeed a one-club man
  20. David, you really are slipping if you think Windmill only played for Saints. You're forgetting Man City and Norwich and even his spell with the lot down the M27. Painer won the 3rd division with Hereford after Lawrie Mac showed him the door (he played over 100 times for Hereford). Sydenham played for Aldershot, as did many of our players in those days, they were almost our reserves for a while.
  21. Bit odd, they don't include Ted Bates in the main list, but mention him in the section about coaches etc. He was on Norwich's books, but never made a 1st team appearance. Strictly Nick Holmes should't be in the list as he played for East Cowes Vics.
  22. 1st was Fox's fault, pure and simple. His pass was totally awful, if that put Fonte under pressure then so be it, but it was Fox's fault, not Fonte's. As for the 3rd, does it really matter We were pushing to equalise, always chance that we would concede 3rd. The 1st was the shocker, we were totally in command at the time, and would not have lost if Fox had not made such a total feck up. But will not blame Fox overall, has been pretty good overall, everyone makes a mistake at some time. Fonte has been good this season, but is now overshadowed by Jos for sure. Sadly the goals dried up for Jose, he got 6 last season I think, none this. I think he has not been quite the same since he got his hair cut, needs to let it grow again.
  23. Yes it must be exceedingly dull to have supported the 1982 European Champions, 7 times league champions, 7 times FA Cup winners and 5-times League Cup winners. Over 100 seasons in the top flight. Oh for some of their dullness. Coventry really should be the easy winners of this award.
  24. Has to be one of the most stupid threads ever, some so-called Saints fans "debating" if Lallana is any good. How fecking ridiculous can you get. Best player in the Championship bar none, and most passionate Saints player out there and still some Mongs can't see it. Still what do you expect from TDD and Roger, their posts are just patently ridiculous.
  25. We may not have won, but I'm sure we wouldn't have lost, and in the end that is what was important.
