The haters will be having a field day ?

Not really convinced this has been good. Signed 2 players who it's debatable if they will be first choices, but should work out well in the future. Can't get excited about Danso, unclear if he is better than what we already have, but promising for the future. I like Adams, clearly going to be an improvement on what we had. Failed to shift one of our 3 first team keepers (so far), meaning we have an over abundance of experienced keepers. Finally, failed to strengthen in CM which is where we appear to be weak. Most of our problems at the back stem from failures by our MF to provide the protection they should. On top of that PEH and Romeu are liabilities in the discipline stakes, losing one or both to the inevitable suspensions could be very costly with no decent cover. We'll see, hopefully Ralph can work his magic but really it hasn't been the window expected, even Ralph said he wanted to get players in very early, which apart from Che we spectacularly failed to do, with Djenepo being one of the latest back from his hols, no time to integrate, and of course even worse with Danso.

Oh dear, we will be hearing from Verlaine shortly ?

It's not strange at all. US company imports its part finished product from China (or Vietnam), applies finishing touches and distributes to final market (UK). Something different has happened with Saints because of the stupid LD logo and its got ****ed up. It was just a theory as to why the **** up has happened, in a light hearted manner. Sorry if it has upset you in some way. A little over sensitive perhaps?

Note that Sam McQueen is clearly not fit enough to be able to put a current 2019/20 shirt on for his picture. Must be in a bad way, or else they don't have any more shirts to go round.

The overseas transfer window is still open thread

Scotland still open for business as well. Moi could do well in the Highland League, Forster might be willing to go back to Celtic. -
Maybe an unexpected consequence of Trump's trade war with China, avoiding the import and re-export into and out of the US. Just a thought.

He didn't even play in some of those games (even the 8-1 he was only on the pitch for 5 of them, including his own goal). If you really want to show the goals conceded in the last 9 games that KD was involved in then it would be: 8(5), 4, 0, 4, 0, 1, 0, 1, 5(2). Interesting he seems to play equally left and right centre of back 4 (he is right footed), and has also played right back on one occassion (though it was against Nurnberg, who were rubbish last season)

The overseas transfer window is still open thread

Note that Carrillo has reappeared on the OS, even donning a 2019/20 shirt. No number though. -
I won't, best I leave that to you.

Hmm ?

Thing is, on 29 June (last year) the numbers were still subject to change. Of course none did (?), but new ones were added (Ings, Vestergaard, Gunn, Armstrong, Elyounoussi signed in July or August). There were also numbers announced that were subsequently not used (Carrillo, Boufal, Sims, Reed, McQueen) due to transfers/loans out. So the definitive list is formally submitted and confirmed by the PL much later.
-
Last year the squad numbers were officially confirmed by the Premier League on 4 September. That is when the 25 man squads also were announced. Suspect we will actually announce the main first team squad well before that, at least when the club have shirts to sell.

Exactly who we could do with right now, shame it won't happen. Meanwhile Jason Puncheon has joined Pafos https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49258601

Seriously question that Cedric was shipped out because he was not good enough. He was shipped out because he didn't enthusiastically sign up to Ralph's new ways. After half a season kicking his heels on the bench at Roma and a good talking to by his new wife he has seen the light and realised that he is better off at Saints fighting for a place and eventually a move to a bigger club. Not even sure that Hoedt was shipped out for being not good enough, but anyway looks like he is going anyway so who cares.
-
That's actually 22. What are your plans for Barnes, Hesketh and Carrillo?
-
Yes, he really should have injured his leg long ago, and in his own time.
-
But bringing in an u21 on loan gives Ralph the opportunity to strengthen without having to shift anyone out of the 25 man squad. Thing is, is he better than Klarer, not really a fan of very young CBs, experience e is all important in that position.
-
See he's not in today's squad, hopefully on his way.

Callum Slattery - Official: Signs for Motherwell

Maybe he played against Brentford. -
A non-statement statement. We'll tell all next week.

Never played for Thatcham Town (though he was registered), and is quoted only as "trained" with Reading as a youth player. The reality is that he has played for 7 clubs, including Kintbury, Hungerford, Poole, Swindon, Burney, QPR and Saints. The tweet is so obviously a golf reference "Won't be long before I'm off single figures #progress" really can't undertand why people are still discussing this. His mates (as opposed to the Fanboys and Haters) also responded about golf. He's presumably playing off of 10ish at the moment and should get a cut following a decent round or two, but its harder to get a reduction when your handicap is between 5.5 and 12.4 - 0.2 per shot below the buffer zone. Wish I could get my handicap cut, another .1 increase after yesterday.
-
The point is not whether it's their nickname, it's that it became their nickname only because it was the town's nickname long before.

We have other very good examples: Burley/Snodin Hoddle/Gorman Redknapp/Jordan/Smith to name a few
