That’s how I see it formation wise. City have an incentive to win but don’t need to score a hatful. For me the one up top would be Long as he keeps their defence on their toes and every once in a while he can actually score. Mind you we could employ Redmond in the same role. The defence picks itself. The four in midfield would be Hoj, Rom, Lemina (if fit, if not JWP) & Tadic. Tadic gets a free role.

I agree that there are players out there that don’t cost the earth but as you say we spent circa 60 and went backwards somewhat. So are you saying we replace with the likes of the polish lad (who was much derided on here) or the likes of Boufal? I’m hoping for a better return on our investment in this next window but can’t see it with wee Ross Wilson around.
