Some mixed emotions on there - very understandable IMHO. But they seem very resigned to the fact he's going. I'm seriously hoping that Patterson is only going on loan there - think we'll be shooting ourselves in the foot if we let him go permanently - lets be honest, how long has Connolly got left? Probably the amount of time it would take to get rid of Patterson's rough edges.

But its not just the transfer fee is it? Agents, wages, signing on fees etc etc etc. We need to clear some players out - NC will not keep just buying.

Yes it is and I'd be surprised if they weren't.

Not in a 442. The formation is to restrictive for the type of player they both are. 451 gives them both more freedom IMHO.
