I thought Obafemi was really good yesterday, I only saw the second half mind. I thought he held the ball up, put in some lovely passes and just generally looked like a capable Premier League player. I don't see how he can be blamed for his "miss" when Cedric smashed the ball towards him like a clearance despite only being a couple of metres away from him but some people just seem to think Cedric can do no wrong despite being terrible literally all the time.

Didn't we draw 2-2 there and they scored a stoppage time equaliser that season too?

Totally random but obviously not worth starting a thread for so just posting here. I had a pretty awful dream last night that P*mpey were in the FA Cup Final against Leicester. Leicester missed a penalty on 29 minutes and then I stopped watching. Pretty sure them down the road won it Happy Saturday, folks.

Lol that's brilliant. As another post previously mentioned, a few of us used to get together on a Sunday evening at Flemming Park and have a game. Sometimes it'd be as little as 3-a-side and other times (mostly in the summer) it could get mental like 15-a-side. This went on for a good few years, I think I was about 14-15 when I started going and it went on until I was about 17-18 I think. It was a really great activity every week, I'm autistic and didn't have many friends at school due to not recognising social protocols (yeah I'm playing the a-card) but everyone who went to this was nothing but lovely. I've still got a few of them on Facebook. No matter what your footballing ability was, everyone just enjoyed getting together and playing football, chatting about Saints (less enjoyable most of the time) and I think we even went for a drink after once or twice. I used to really enjoy that. Sadly enough, it was probably the highlight of my week lol!

There are every season... I'm quite gobsmacked he's gone there tbh because of how much Mourinho loves his big money transfers and how stingy Levy is known to be. I'd have honestly put him at Everton or West Ham before Spurs, somewhere they have no problem spunking money away. Still, I don't dislike Spurs, Poch or Mourinho so hope it works out for all three parties. I'd LOVE Poch to come back but I'd also love an unlimited amount of money in my bank account.

I only get to go to 2-3 games a year and sadly one of them was the Leicester game. I've never experienced a high like murdering P*mpey on their own patch. I very vaguely remember the 2-1 win at St Mary's but only because I remember people talking about it the next day, I don't really remember the game itself. For me, last month (or whenever it was) was the first time I'd seen us beat them and personally I wouldn't give that back for anything (other than maybe a major cup win). Just wondered if you were offered our 0-9 humiliation being erased from history, on condition that our 4-0 down the road would also be erased, would you take it? For the purposes of the hypothetical, if you take the trade, in this version of reality, we would have won at Nottarf Krap on penalties after playing sh1te and lost to Leicester 0-1 in a hotly contested game. So in theory, we'd be in an identical position in both competitions (obviously with a better goal difference) but you'd lose both the major high and major low. Is the high worth the low? For me, yes.

Imagine your father leaves you a business that you have little interest in, you keep it for a few years and then someone offers to give you about 50 times what it was worth at the time of purchase. What are you realistically going to do? I'd sell to Hitler if he paid me as much as Gao would have paid Kat. People need to remember Kat has no emotional attachment to us and like any other business person was in it for the money. It's not great for us but you can't blame her for taking a massive amount of money.

No he's not. But he's probably the best we're likely to get without being poached by a big club. Ralph is a massive MASSIVE step up from Pellegrino. It's not Ralph's fault that the players are just not good enough. "If" we get relegated, which is pretty likely, whom of our current crop of players will get poached? Redmond...JWP (for some reason, the media love him) but that's about it. Oh McCarthey as well probably. Our players are absolutely dreadful.

You think higher of the current team than I do. The 2005 team was much better. At least they scored goals.

Could have been worse. Marked improvement, not that it could have been worse than Friday. Second half, I thought we played very well. I don't even think it was because Man City slowed down because they don't tend to do that. Positives for sure.

HT thoughts: What's the point of Armstrong? Despite how our academy players being able to do no wrong in the eyes of our fans (and the media to a point), Valery is not very good. Danso looks okay in his actual position. I think PEH has done okay as a makeshift LB despite the commentator slating him at every turn.

Commentator just said if level after 90 minutes (lol) it goes to extra time. I thought League Cup went straight to pens these days?
