If we take the same model as we applied in the summer - that signings should improve the first team squad (ignoring any debate about whether Ossie actually has....it was clear that it was intended he would), then Astori, at that price would be great business. We could get him: why would he sign for a mid-table club like Man U with a negative manager rather than an upcoming future powerhouse. C'mon NC, sell him The Project. ...oh, yeah......umm.

What a fantastic game to watch. Brilliant entertainment. We should've been out of sight in the first half; couple of wasted chances and a hit post - could've/should've had 4 or 5. Always going to be tougher in the second half in front of a passionate crowd; thought we did pretty well at times - still created a few chances. Gaston looked very lively when he came on. Really hope the injuries aren't too bad. Decent away point really.

Exactly the conclusion I came to when sitting in the traffic jams heading home last night. Add in a conversation with NC asking for funds in January, and KL saying something along the lines of....."Umm, that defender bloke from Norway last year? Sharp - he's not playing much is he? Who was that African player you signed? Those guys from the Italian league - how are they getting on?" I love what NC has done for us - with someone elses money; and I can't begrudge the owner wanting some involvement in where their funds are spent. As with everything around this, it's pure speculation at this stage. Going to be a very interesting few months. COYRs WIFM

Yep. So either he is totally ****ed off: totally. Or it is one hell of a game of brinkmanship. Has KL had ANY involvement in day to day running of the club? Massive impact if the boss of a big company suddenly quits.

This is SO like the story at the start of the summer over his plans and discussions with the Liebherr. At the time we were facing doom and gloom - I remember a Daily Mail journo on Talksport stating that Saints fans faced a summer of agonizing uncertainty. Then what happened? As pointed out above, the timing of this is interesting. If NC is as ambitious as people say then I can't see him leaving at this stage of the project. Gut feel is that NC is playing another game; perhaps for more funds? Trying to dig up another investor?

Shame. I was a fan. It looked like there was genuine potential there - a good fledgling partnership with SRL, which injury curtailed, and he didn't come back the same player (plus we had moved on collectively). I wish him all the best.

Exactly. We fall into a habit of moving the ball too slowly in the final third; plus our strikers not penetrating the line, and no one to exploit it even if they do. Ossie and Gaston will address this.

Recently watched...... Elysium. Decent; liked the performance from Sharlto Copley, and Jodie Foster looked milfish at times. 7/10 Worlds End. Gash. 3/10 REDS 2. Okay. 6/10 Inception. Rewatched, having only seen it once before. Awesome. 9/10 2Guns. Silly action film, liked it. 7.5/10 Kick Ass 2. Not as good as I hoped for. 6/10
