  1. Make sure to get to the Pig 'N' Whistle this Saturday to watch the Reading game with fellow Saints fans. The following is taken from the 'Southampton Australian Supporters' facebook page: The numbers of our SAS group have almost doubled in the last two months so in combination with an EARLY kick off on the 6th of April we will be hosting a live event in every capital city(sorry Tassie!) for the Reading match. It will be a great chance to meet up with other Saints fans from your city and watch our beloved Saints at a reasonable hour! Events in every state will be starting two hours before kick off to allow for plenty of time to talk all things Saints. So if at all possible get down early to share a pint/s with fellow Saints fans. Each venue also serves food for those wanting to have dinner pre game. Family and friends more than welcome! But sorry, no skates. KICK OFF TIMES FOR EACH STATE: Perth 7.45pm Brisbane 9.45pm Adelaide 10.15pm Syd+Melb 10.45pm VENUES FOR EACH STATE PERTH: The Charles Hotel Address: 509 Charles St, North Perth WA 6006 BRISBANE: Pig 'N' Whistle Riverside Address: 123 Eagle St, Brisbane QLD 4000 ADELAIDE: Rosemont Hotel Address: 160 Hindley St, Adelaide SA 5000 SYDNEY: PJ Gallagher's @The Criterion Hotel Address: 260 Pitt St Cnr Park Street Sydney 2000(in the downstairs Bar called 'The Snug') MELBOURNE: The Imperial Hotel Address: 2/8 Bourke St, Melbourne VIC 3000 WEAR red and white, bring a loud voice and enjoy watching the Saints on a big screen with fellow supporters. COYR!
  2. What tune did we sing for the second half of last season then? The Saints are going up, and know you're going to believe us etc etc?
  3. Would be a nice touch and the least we could do, for the away fans at the Reading match to acknowledge Nigel's efforts before getting behind MP and the boys! Possibly something to the tune of (For He's a Jolly Good Fellow/The Saints are going up). The Saints went back to back, The Saints went back to back. With thanks to Nigel Adkins, With thanks to Nigel Adkins, With thanks to Nigel Adkiiiiiiiiiiins, The Saints went back to back!
  4. Don't forget to join up with us at 'Southampton Australian Supporters' we've grown from a team of 80 to 240 in the last year and recently had our first interstate trip. Six Melbourne based Saints fans went to Adelaide for the weekend and joined up with around 8 local supporters for the win over Aston Villa. We're hoping to extend the SAS family as far as possible and continue with annual trips like these. There's also good quality banter, news, videos and possibilities to find Saints fans from every corner of Australia. If you don't want to give away personal information on FB but still be involved, set one up and just add no personal information but your first name and state, then join the 'Southampton Australian Supporters' group and nothing else. Look forward to talking to people on there and seeing you at future events! Trevor
  5. How we celebrate 100 goals in Aus!
  6. The Billy Sharp song could be used with the correct pronunciation of Fonte..
  7. So here's to you Morgan Schneiderlin, we all love you more than you will know, oh oh oh, He'll fight for us Morgan Schneiderlin, France's best midfielder of all time, hey hey hey To the tune Mrs Robinson. A little less of the man love than the first suggestion..
  8. I think enough is enough, how long has Morgan been with us? About time he had his own chant/song. Here's the pick of the bunch imo. So here's to you Morgan Schneiderlin, we all love you more than you will know, oh oh oh, We'll fight for you Morgan Schneiderlin, Southampton boys are with you when you play, hey hey hey To the tune Mrs Robinson.
  9. A touch off topic but if we come from behind tonight we could run with this.. Ooooooo the Pochettino Oooooo the Pochettino, You put a Striker on You take a Defender off We pass it from the back and we pass it all about You do the Pochettino and we turn it around That's what he's all about...hey! oooooooo the Pochettino
  10. No one go on Monday. Don't boo the new manager, just don't turn up, please. This makes me so sad
  11. Just printed out and read all three. Extremely enjoyable read, I send them to my old man as well who isn't even a Saints fan but still loves your work. Happy New Year to you and I look forward to more of your gold in 2013!
  12. Is there any coincedence in the addition of Guly in AL's role to our two improved performances post the Sunderland game? We really don't have any other options in that position and playing Guly might save us 4-5million in having to get a decent cover for the next two months or so. Tracked back really nicely a few times and can take a wicked corner and one day a turning shot of his will find the top corner. I may be completely wide of the mark, like him at Stoke...but I think it's giving us a better structure. In saying that hurry up AL!
  13. Coming at this from a slightly different angle. I'm part of a group in Melbourne that watches every game(join us on facebook 'Southampton Australian Supporters') and we would love to display a Saints flag/jumper as other support groups at the same pub(Imperial Hotel, Bourke street) have all sorts of memoribillia on the walls. Would it be worth asking the club for help? We often have fans making the trip over to watch games which could make it easier. Who would be best to contact? Cheers in advance for any help and remember to join the fb group if you've ever been to oz, live here or know someone who has or may go in the future. I've just discovered the Aussie pom*ey group has 251 members to our 220 so help us get in front of the bastards!
  14. That would be great. Spread the word! Some of the Melbourne Saints group are heading over to Adelaide to meet up with them for the Villa game so get onto him about the facey thingy. Cheers.
  15. Asking for a bit of help from down under. It has recently come to my attention that the Port*mouth supporters group in Aus has 251 members. Our group is sitting on 213 members so for anyone on facebook that could join our group it would be greatly appreciated. We meet up all over the country to watch games live in the early hours of the morning and act as a family away from home for travelling Saints fans. The banter on the page is quality and some of the pictures and stories told are worth seeing! To find us search for 'Southampton Australian Supporters' on facebook or head to the following link. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Southampton-Australian-Supporters/188516634508187?fref=ts Cheers in advance!
  16. You didn't miss much last season..
  17. To the tune of 'Let it be' by The Beatles Luke Shaw, Luke Shaw Luke Shaw, Luke Shaw England's best defender, is Luke Shaw Luke Shaw, Luke Shaw Luke Shaw, Luke Shaw Worth more than all of Pompey, Luke Shaw Very simple with a good tune. Does it fit? Over to you folk to sing it around in your heads, as I'm somewhat tone deaf.
  18. Who on earth is this Saints Player/Solent commentater?? He is so incredibly excited everytime Liverpool get the ball but is monotone whenever we push forward. Why do we have to put up with him?? Get me a biased Saints or at least neutral commentater. Drives me crazy!
  19. Tried it and it won't work
  20. So who watched a Saints link in the first half that worked?? Would they mind sharing it?
  21. Are you on the Southampton Australian supporters Facebook page?? We're meeting up in Melbourne for tonight's game at The Imperial.
  22. Let's play some teams around us first with a fit Gaston.
  23. Would also like to see us with the same back four as Saturday as even the players have pointed out that they're still getting used to playing together. K.Davis Clyne Yoshida Fonte Fox Guly Chaplow Cork JWP Mayuka Lee
  24. Any progress? I can hardly help from 24 hours away so I leave it in your safe hands..
  25. Are we singing this yet?
