I may be a bit harsh on him but had him at fault for 2 of the goals at Blackpool - the first he was in no mans land and went back and his starting position was wrong. I am trying to think if it is 6 games I have seen him, he deffo made at least 3-4 reserve games ast Staplewood then the Eastleigh game. His kicking is poor, his positional sense is shocking, he gets beaten from distance too easily on the ground and air. He cant deal with crosses into the box - apart from that he is good.

Thats a fair appraisal however, what is good value and bad? Torres £50m hardly scored yet one goal got them into the Champions League Final and probably paid all that back with them winning it. If Rodrigues contributes just say 8 goals that keeps us in the division one more season then the revenue more than pays for him. Young English strikers are a premium, we don't know or never will know our transfer budget. I am not sure we ever should either.

Just out of interest how much do you value Lallana at?? For those on about pace....didn't seem to bother Beattie much and he scored a few for us in the Prem.

Ok I know the philosophy and applaud that - however what no-one can tell me is if the councils will now build 9v9 pitches for them to play on? Will they charge less than they do know? We pay £35-50 for a pitch for certain grounds...how will we afford that with potentially 3 players less in the squad and parents subs, signing on fees and match fees?

We also have another one in Ward-Prowse bursting through - Pompey schoolboy been through Saints academy etc we should tip off old Neil to him as well.
