Exactly....I wish we had a 20yard chain and tied one end to the goal post and the other to Lamberts ankle - we don't need him wide....he was cramping Lallana last night so when the cross came in we only had the excellent Barnard in the middle. Stay in the danger zone Ricky thats where we need you leave the rest to the other 4 midfielders.

What are you smoking??? Chambo rated at £10m chased by a host of top clubs allegedly and you want a journeyman troublemaker who has had fallouts at a number of clubs he has been at.

If you could say just one word to any Saints player past or present?

Bobby Stokes - GOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL! -
Exactly where I am coming from too. The standard this season is appalling and we are just as bad lately. Swindon were shocking and we let them dominate for 25 minutes and got out of jail. We are serial bottlers and play-offs at best for me...not even the final unless we find some magic formula. I still think we will rue not getting in McKail-Smith....N'Guessan and Forte are not the standard of players we should of signed and we needed the insurance that MCKS would of bought us not a 10 goals in 118 games player. People laughed and mocked when I said we should of got BWP....yep he is doing really badly at Charlton.

Could be Olly Harfield who is left footed and right age and at the academy. Played for Baddesley with my nipper...stood out at that level.

I agree with this - will add Jaidi was awesome - keep reading people say how he will be beaten by pace - yet who timed his run and tackle to perfection when Fonte got left for dead? Lambert had his best game in ages, Barnard coming on gave us the movement we were lacking between the 25-50th minutes. Harding and Davis could of both done better for their goal. 3 points was vital today - still worried about our performance as doesn't look automatic form yet and a better team than Swindon may have punished us.

We had the brother of the tennis player Baltacha play for the Ressies when Strachan was here....he was about 6ft 7in and had a 50p head and was useless.

So wrong on many points...but the main one being that Forte isn't on loan but a 3 1/2 year deal!! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2281319,00.html

Correct, unless you want to relocate to Bangalore and Mumbai as thats where all the recruitment is now and going mad as can't get the skills there anymore. PS Get an ITIL and go into Service Management...putting right all the fck ups they keep making out their due to all the good staff leaving every 3 - 6 months and company hopping.

Hammond was my MOM, I disagree with the other poster about Guly as I thought he worked really hard - he made one misjudgement and never went for the ball and got a rocket from the crowd. After that he chased and chased and won loads in the air and kept the ball moving. Jaidi is my type of defender - he wins all those horrible lump forward balls that we used to be shocking against. I keep reading on here about his legs going but he was still throwing himself about in extra time! He reads the game well and very rarely get in a position where a forward can run by him. The main problem second half to me was Adkins tactics - why go 4-5-1 against ten men? Guly dropped deeper and deeper and we only had Lambert up front that allowed them to push on a player into midfield and dangerous areas. Just as well Carlisle were abysmal. Several time N'Guessan got the ball wide and we only had Lambert in the box. 3 points and a clean sheet.

Different type....Liptak was more the Lundekvam - Yahia was more a Jaidi

I watched him a few times in the Ressies and never understood why he never got a game compared to some of the dross we played in his position. He was decent in the air and hardly lost a header, he was tough and agressive and exactly what was needed at that time an players like Carlton Cole wouldnt of bullied him. His distribution was probably why he never got a game as he was probably second only to Benali in touchline passes.

Alpine don't take this the wrong way...but if you had seen him play...and unlike the Prof I have several times you wouldn't be saying that. Slow, gives the ball away constantly, shocking tackles....he shouts and talks a good game but can't do any of the things he advises others to do. I could try more than Puncheon...I only played at Hampshire league level but I honestly believe I could of done what Pulis did in the games I saw him in...except I may have had a better passing completion rate!

I was watching that night at Staplewood when he got that sickening injury..poor lad and I was stood next to his mum and his girlfriend at the time...not nice!! Good luck to him.

The Birds Nest was later renamed - Clowns I think . Where BK is now was a place called Sidecars and I use to go in there on a Saturday night about 1979ish.

He got a fair judgement from me, I can't believe some fans think that some get great pleasure from us signing duds and writing them off I certainly don't. He may be tall Dave but he is poor in the air and seen several goals go in over his head! In fact I was there when Bale made his debut for the u-18s .... I was stood next to Keith Legg at the game and we both said how good he was and would go on to make it. Glad to be proved right!

He gets beaten too often from distance and is shocking on crosses - gets stranded and beaten too easily. So he has been here for years and made how many appearances....we have had more managers than he has played 'proper' games! Now why would that be??? Why has no other league club come in for him in this window....Eastbourne is his level thats why!

At first I was a bit underwhelmed as he is not in the calibre I thought we needed(McK-Smith who was brilliant against us), however when I read this...its sounds like we have another Kenwynne who couldnt trap a bag of cement when I first watched him. He has progressed into a good player so perhaps we can do the same with Forte? I have been saying all season we needed someone with pace to turn the opposing defence around facing their own goal. He's lightning quick. When I talk about quick players I always say, 'Is he Jonno quick?' We've found that he's got pace, power, and he's got stronger and stronger. "He's had a bit part to play, but he can play on the left or right wing or as a centre forward. He's got unbelievable pace and strength, he gets that ball and he runs with it in behind and he's scores goals. In training at times, some of the stuff that he does - he's unplayable. "He's experienced in the Championship now. He's had a good couple of years and is a player who is getting better and better, and still only young. "He's always going to be a goal threat because of his pace. He's willing, he's got a great attitude, and I think he'll fit in excellently to the culture that we have at this football club. He's got a good physical presence about himself and we're delighted that he can come and join us. "We're looking at the culture here and I know what his capabilities are, and I know at times that he can be a little inconsistent as all young players can be, but I just believe that bringing him into the environment that we've got down here he can only get better and better. Good facilities, excellent coaching and great medical with sports science support and I think we've got a physical athlete here who has got undoubted natural ability and is going to be a goal threat, and I think he's going to enhance the group of players that we've got at this football club." http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2281315,00.html

Sorry I didn't say he isn't a good player or that he won't do a job for us...its just odd to me that Adkins sent him out on loan a couple of times. -

So Forte is that good Adkins sent him out on loan twice? -
Really chuffed and pleased at that performance - what greater compliment than to have to bring on Giggs and Nani to play against a league one team!! Now lets get promoted thats all that matters
