Yes I explained that Chez... I read it wrong on wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathan_Tyson He is allowed to talk to clubs if he is out of contract and I thought as he had played so few not much chance of a contract renew. I believe that all players are mercenaries...given enough incentive they will move. The point with Fonte was that he was happy to come to us..were we the only club after him considering how good he is ...I am glad we got him. P.S 7 starts out of 25 according to this http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/nottm_forest/9372103.stm

How do you know he is FFS I read wiki wrong.... 2010–11 6 0 0 0 1 0 7 0

Spend, spend??? where? Guly a serie B and short term serie A, 50k on Chaplow...as explained several times our gates, revenue, lack of mortgage paymenst, Sky TV money would surely cover Lallana? As for the bench...if Barnard goes down, Connolly looks finished, Punch looks as though he is off thats leaves us short of quality a bit? For those that can't read...I am not saying N'Guessen is a bad loan and is rubbish...just that from what has been stated by the management I was hoping for more than a gamble. Hopefully he will be exactly what we need and in the next 5 days we add some more quality to our squad so we can automatically go up. I apologise for showing some ambition.
-
So you are saying no player out of contract would be interested in a move for money? Go do some research how many games has he played for Forest this season.....injured yes and Forest have no other strikers do they...no player ever drops a division do they Fonte?
-
Tyson at Forest ..out of contract end of season - wages..possibly an issue but would be Ok if promoted next season as well. I would of gone for BWP...good enough for Charlton so why not us. Has pace that we need and different to what we have. Short term contract - cost nothing. McK-S - was quality against us and really stood out - I have been admirer of his play for ages and watched him on purpose at SMS. Pugh as have told you already has been the Cherries stand out player and costs a fraction more than the Sky money on Saturday proven in this division.
-
I have answered this several times read them!
-
Why because we believe we should be doing better than we are and recruiting the best to enable us to do so...bugger lets all settle for second best then. Are you happy having Gobern, Doble as back up or would you want better quality? Do you believe Brighton envy us...or Huddersfield....??
-
Show me one post where people are not saying he is not good enough?? What I and some are saying is that...and according to the Chairman and Manager we have money to spend so why are we gambling...because thats what this is. But dont let facts get in the way of yours and Dibdens inability to read and understand this.

I think most transfers are completed on the last day of the window...we shall see perhaps we will
-
Could be but he only played in Serie A for a short time ....I checked and he went up from Serie B in 2009 season and played 34 games for them in total. Would that be millions...not sure.
-
No that was just a quick flick through Sky transfers....you said outside of the top 4 clubs no-one was spending and I have proved they are. £1-2m is high in this division if we are as well off as suggested and have the transfer kitty we are told we have then why not spend it on players that are proven rather than a gamble thats the point. As posted several times we still have 5 days left of the window and most activity is carried out on the last day.
-
Hull City spent £1.2m on Fryatt Aaron McLean £1.3m QPR Tommy Smith £1.5m Waghorn £3m from Leicester to Sunderland Here are a few possibles: http://www.skysports.com/football/player/0,19754,11699_307274,00.html Wheater and O'Neill out of Boro is that enough??
-
Honestly anything between £1-2m in this league is a big spend. I really rate McK-S from Peterboro and he really stood out against us - my only concern is he is a Barnard type. we need a quick , big, striker that can get the defence turned and facing their own goal - Tyson at Forest?
-
Depends on what you intend to outlay....if you are running at a profit and can make do with loans etc and not spend big(£2m+ in this league) in the transfer market then no. Our constant gates of 21k plus revenue would see us ok. Anyway we will be spending £2m on McS tomorrow...and Austin ...I read it on 606 so must be true.
-
Suits me....although £10 million for an unproven(well only league one) 17 year old winger would of been great business.
-
Fair comment but as our gates have been steady around the 21k mark, tv for FA Cup, plus no mortgage payments etc I think all of that could possible be out of current revenue.
-
Yes as I said we still have 5 more days.
-
50k for Chaplow is hardly splashing out Nick is it? Guly I have not seen a fee but do you think it was large fee for a SerieB player??
-
Typical idiotic comment on here. I put out my reasons why I felt that...thanks for you well judged response at least DD put his reasons.
-
Pugh has been one of the Cherries best players according to reports/fans/commentators I have read and heard this season. I think you are still missing the point ...I meant a Pilkington type...thats means someone more established, playing regularly in Div 1/NPC that are proven rather than hoping a loan for a non-established player will be Ok ...its a gamble isn't it? Can we afford to gamble? Where is the cash that was mentioned by Cortese/Adkins? Ok no loan is free there is agent fees loan fees, wages etc but this is hardly in the jaw dropping league is it? Just a concern I have and there are still 5 days left of the window.
-
Do you think Oxo is worth 10m?? How many players have been sold for £5m in div 1??
-
Yes if the price was right don't you? ffs Learn to read before you jump......why not splash out on a Pilkington/Pugh type?
-
I thought I would post 19C comments as I also have a concern over this loan: But what is really worrying is the apparent desire of the club to commit even a modest spending budget to buy experienced players or promising youngsters with the potential to keep their places in the Championship and therefore be more motivated than those on loan this season. Like you said this individual has hardly had a progressive career - Auxerre to Lincoln City via Rangers is hardly inspiring and the main os have obviously hyped him up but my guess Adkins feels he can help him resurrect his career. Do we need a player like that or a manager who believes he can think like that when the no 1 objective for the next 14 weeks is promotion not player development? Being a lot time fan I have this paranoia about things going wrong here: looking at that post last night on 606 now why have we only loaned someone with a pretty low pedigree let's be honest...why not splash out on a Pilkington/Pugh type? Do we have ANY money to buy? Is it that the money has been put on hold? Yes I know we have Lallana, Guly signed but thats wages not a big signing on fee etc. I am concerned....slightly ...told you paranoia.
-
Your scapegoat then?? ;-)
-
You can relax then as we won 3-2.
