Not that it matters a jot but he was well onside as the left back kept him well on - I was right inline. Further evidence if needed was the blast over the bar from the 18 yard line when last year he would of hit the net no trouble. I used to believe he would work his way back to form and needed to play - now think he needs to be dropped and I never ever imagined I would be saying that.

Wilde's Business has been wound up and liquidated by HMRC

Agreed it was total incompetence along with the multitude of his other crazy stuff rather than being malicious. Pre 2003 and the academy apart there was not much after that that he got right. -
I agree with you , look at the Skates game, Ipswich and he ripped Norwich the runaway leaders to shreds. This is why its so bad at the moment as it has gone off the scale how extremely bad his form is at the moment. Last season he hardly lost a header...this season he hardly jumps.....why??

Although they contain some horrible ****s like Chopra and Bellamy Cardiff are playing some great stuff tonight. Perhaps finally Dave Jones will get his reward for all his hard work there. Currently 4 up.
-
So he has been a free agent since the WC and no-one has signed him...doesn't that tell you something? With Fonte, Jaidi, Seaborne, Martin, Butterfield, Richardson, Harding and Dickson I am not sure we actually need another defender.
-
There you go with your extremes..every attack went through Morgan....hahahah so Oxo's run went through him, Lallanas run for the goal, Puncheons shot that hit the post.
-
Yep agree with that....except in some games when the opposition are playing 4-6-0 or a very poor Tranmere 4-5-1 you dont need that role played so statically. Classic example was England last week....why play 4 defenders and a holding when they had one up? There were many occasions yesterday Chaplow was behind Morgan and not getting beyond the forwards like he did so well against Tranmere.
-
Why...some people have different opinions on performances....yes he does have quality and in other games he has been very good. Yesterday he was disappointing and created very little....the reason was possibly that we lacked pace and movement for him to pick out anyone and resorted far too often to sideways and backwards. Compared to the last 2 home games we didn't pass the ball well at all and hoofed it. Why does it always have to be taken to the extremes on here....he normally is decent for me yesterday he didn't play that well as he offered very little creativity wise and isn't that his job?

It was a good battling win against a combative Oldham team and fair play to Dickov who actually played 3 and 4 up at times which was why we saw Wotton introduced. I was disappointed that we reverted to long ball and hoofed it far to often rather than give it to Lallanas feet quicker. I thought Schneiderling was poor today - he played far too many nothing safe passes and didn't think the partnership with Chaplow worked well as far too often they were too far away from the forwards - his shooting was abysmal as well! Good substitutions by Adkins but thought could of been made 5 or 10 minutes earlier. Guly finally found someone to link with when Barnard came on and we looked better - was a shame he went off when he did but can understand why after losing last week that Adkins played safe.

Nope early 80's...have not seen any Saints football since to match it. Keegan, Channon, Ball, Williams, Moran, Shilton, Wright, Watson, Mills, Armstrong was superb time to watch.

Thanks for that he looked in poor shape when I went by - speedy recovery.

Does anyone know how the Saints fan that was injured in Bevois Valley is on Saturday? Poor chap looked in a bad way.
-
Totally agree ......you can only beat whats in front of you though. As others have said the only downer for me was the missed chances and on another day we may get punished. Tranmere were awful.

Might help your post if you got your facts right....they are not bottom. 21 Dag & Red 11 2 2 1 7 7 0 2 4 4 12 -8 10 22 Tranmere 11 1 2 2 4 7 1 2 3 5 10 -8 10 23 Leyton Orient 11 2 1 2 6 5 0 2 4 5 10 -4 9 24 Brentford 11 2 1 3 6 9 0 2 3 1 5 -7 9

I for one was really glad he had the shirt on against Watford in the semi...bet you were too! I normally like your posts but you are way off in this for me.

I could not believe the texts sent into Solent...I know football is a game of opinions but 2 people thought Puncheon and Chaplow were poor!!! I think we must have some fans who face the stands and not the pitch! Chaplow had a great game and his addition for me is one missing link at home. No crab like passing between Hammond and Morgan and we now finally have a midfielder who goes beyond the strikers. Lambert was 90% better today. Hammond had another good game. Fonte was awesone and my MOM. I loved our new tactics of drawing them out at the back keeping it short and nullifies there 5 in midfield and gives us space. Guly looks the business now...lets see more of that and perhaps the anti-Cortese lot will shut up.

Lambert only available striker for Saturday...

solentsport #saintsfc boss Nigel Adkins refuses to rule out Lee Barnard for Saturday. Connolly and Wotton back in training. Richardson close to fitness -
We were up that way last year on holiday and me and my nipper did the tour. I hated it.....yes its a great stadium and I found the museum very interesting and one for Ossie 1...they have great history but they are not my team. In the changing room it meant nothing that the peg was Ronaldo's or Beckham or that I was sat in Alex's position. They must make a fortune as they go off every 15 minutes of so and have about 30 attend from all over the world, Norway, Ireland, US, Surrey...all band wagon jumping ****s thats why I have more respect for fans in div 1 etc. I did keep teasing my nipper to ask them who Bobby Stokes was. By coincidence they had the northern area prem managers meeting and we saw several arrive like Moyes etc we had a chat and picture with Big Sam and McLeish who was great...then Fergie arrived and just rushed straight in and refused to have any photos done with his adoring public.....arrogant git. Give me being a Saints fan every day but then again I had no choice and nor do my kids.
