  1. So he hasn't been released by Colchester then.... How many games has Ifil played at a decent level? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Ifil Murty http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graeme_Murty
  2. RIP Sir Bobby...in football the word legend is used far too often but he truly was one. I read his autobiography last year and it was superb, you dont get to manage clubs as big as he did without being special. Will be sadly missed in the footballing world.....commiserations to his family.
  3. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1739008,00.html With quite a few of us getting worried about lack of signings this was not exactly what I wanted to see on the OS
  4. So you would prefer someone that has been released from MK Dons who were playing in what division...as opposed to Murty who would of been playing for Reading in the CCC last season and was their captain? Mind you we haven't signed either of them yet so waste of time this....but its Friday.
  5. In one reserve game he was put up front against a very physical Bristol side.....after being clattered twice he went into a big sulk and virtually hid for the rest of the game.
  6. Thats the equivalant of the easy easy chant v Leeds ;-)
  7. whatever.....if its that important to you.
  8. Yep he has......confirmed on SSN just now for that git Warnock.
  9. So he had 1 good game against Man Utd reserves and he is world class....think those tablets for your bad leg are affecting your judgement! Now if only he had Carsten Janker to cross the ball to....
  10. Disagree no better than Boyle. We need players with pace and skill and an ability to pass to our players. Smith couldn't even get in Millwalls first team he was a reserve team player that was his level.
  11. Completed ....the fares are extortionate for such a small crossing compared to Dover-Calais.
  12. .....of course no-one on here has ever left a job for more money ;-) Loyalty is for fans not for players.
  13. Wel I was basing this on the article that said he was spending too much time on the phone and talking to agents and not enough time on the training ground.
  14. Its not the playing staff I am a bit concerned about but his backup team. I thought when AP was appointed he would of got his right hand man sorted very quickly as he cant do everything on his own.
  15. So you are a very sad deluded person or else how would you know? Surely you are not a sheep just following the bigotted view? Personally I do not think they should rejoin the club and continue on their own.
  16. Well as the friendly was announced way after we got to he final many of us had already arranged our tickets etc. so were not going to waste the chance of watching our cricket team to watch a meaningless friendly.
  17. Just got back from a fantastic day at Lords, we outplayed them in every department. Was brilliant keeping in touch with SMS and hearing us going 1 up 2 up and win 3-0, Loads of Saints and Skates intermingled....shame about the Sussex(Brighton fans) numpties throwing bottles and glasses on the way back to the tube...poor losers.
  18. Just came on tweeter that its the usual press conf for the Hearts game will be on the OS later.
  19. Fans views have changed because we find ourselves in Div3 for the first time in many of their lifetime. Many are now supporting the new infrastructure because they are fed up with what has gone on before and there is no baggage. Many are just grateful we now have a club to support and accepting that AP is doing whats right for the club whether that the freebie market or not. There is a massive difference between what happened last year and the players we had at our disposal - what many people slaughtered including me was the fact we bought in 7 loanees who were absolute ****e! Where does it say anywhere we wont spend on quality...look at the link and quotes.
  20. What actually makes me laugh is that they actually believe there are such things as freebies! Agents fees, signing on fees, players incentives......comical really.
  21. Yeah Man Utd paid a fortune for Owen..... The previous regimes did so well didnt they with their policies! Thats why we are in a division where you have to try and obtain freebies, loans because footballers egoes are as big as houses and dont want to play 3rd div football. Why do people avoid whats actually written to suit their agenda? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1730507,00.html "The bosman area is still one to look at and I don't want to miss any gems that might still be available," he said. "There are players at other clubs under contract that I'd be interested in, but we're primarily looking at players that won't command a transfer fee at the moment
  22. Exactly because most would show you and DD up. I have 15 year old girls that play in the team I manage that would leave you standing.
  23. Remember the one to Bristol Rovers in '79? The infamous pitch invasion. Frog marched to and from the station in the pouring rain...held back for ages. Ah the good old days.
  24. So we dont need to replace Saejis, McGoldrick and Surman......well we all remember your post about Wotte keeping us up so you have no reason to diss him have you?
  25. I was a member there for a couple of years...I wouldn't as there are far better courses around. Rock hard greens just cut out of the fairways - the C course is abysmal. My recommendations would be Dudsbury, Barton, Crane Valley, East Horton, Botley or if your really up for a challenge Hamptworth. Dibden is decent but 5 hour rounds are the norm. If you play at Wellow watch that Derry...he is pretty good round there.
