What sort of games do you like?
-
Jourdren is a decent young keeper, i've got him as back up to Kelvin atm but i'm sure he is good enough to play as first choice.

I think i've done a bit too much wheeling and dealing, my team is having trouble gelling atm. I've bought in Chopa, Daryl Murphy, Zeefuik, Sanmaertan, Insua, Lequi, Martis, Ljundberg, Jourdren and Binya. To finance them all I had to sell John, Euell, Forecast, Bialkowski, BWP, Dyer, Thomas and Skacel. Playing a pretty simple 4-4-2 at the moment: McGoldrick/Chopra Zeefuik/Murphy Holmes/Ljundberg Surman/Lallana Schneiderlin/Binya Sanmaetean/Thomson Insua/Surman Martis/Lancashire Lequi/Svensson Cork/James Davis/Jourdren Bold are the starting XI. -
Fulham seems a far more realistic destination IMO. Spurs already have one of the best "in the hole" players in the world and Modric is only a couple of years older than Lallana and on the right they've got Lennon and Bentley. If we could get Baird as part of the deal with Fulham paying some of the wages, better than all of the money going to Barclays at least. In a perfect world we'd get Lallana back on loan till the summer but I doubt Fulham would do that.

Good to see we're looking for new people to get involved with the coaching, can't help but feel an Englishman with some experience of the league might be a better bet though.
-
He's scored four goals (Derby, Brum, QPR and WBA), he's 20 years old playing his first full season in a highly competitive league. Over the course of a season a player in his position should imo be contributing 10 goals and 10 assists, Lallana should easily get 10 assists and I think his goal scoring will sort it's self out with a bit of experience. He's getting into the right sort of positions he just fluffs quite a few shots. While I agree he should have scored a few more this season, it's unfair to knock him for his goal return. The goals will come imo.

The arsenal rumour has been doing the rounds for ages now, even before he signed for us. If he does go for 3m+ in January then the deal seems very fishy to me. He's a great player and from what i've seen I reckon he has a future in the premiership but it just doesn't make sense that Arsenal would try to sign him for 3m+ when they could have got him for half that 6 months before.

Misfud said he wanted more money p/w and a higher win bonus. I tried to buy him again and Cov wanted 600k! I've just had a 1m bid for youngster from Milan but he said he has no desire to leave Milan (strange?!). Will give Cole and Bueno a look now.
-
Can anyone reccomend a decent strike for about 1m. Misfud rejected me, atm i've got McGoldrick, Zeefuik and Chopra and I play two upfront so need another player, preferably young.

It's not that good . . . -
I remember reading similar stuff after the Derby game, really need to get three points on Tuesday before getting too excited.
-
Seems like cheating? Doesn't really bother me that much but on another forum i go on people are always moaning.
-
I've never seen either of them play but it doesn't fill me with confidence for the rest of the season if we do lose Lallana and Schneiderlin and use those two as replacements, Gasmi could be great at this level but i'd rather see him and Lallana together.

So Who Do You Think Will Be Sold & For How Much?
Andy_Porter replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
I dont think we can sell Rasiak as he's on loan till the end of the season. I'd rather keep Euell, think he could be an important player for us and doubt we could get a fee for him so it would just be wages saved. I just hope we don't sell Surman, Lallana and Schneiderlin would be like our whole midfield gone. We could afford to lose Surman and just move Cork into midfield but another others and we would be in trouble IMO. -
No idea, I imagine it will be popular after Saturday though.
-
I think Pulis was forced on us as part of the Davies deal.

Skacel - 500k Dyer - P/x for Robertson Stern John - nominal fee Bartoz Bialkowski - nominal fee Marek Saganowski - 500k Probably that lot plus Surman, Lallana and Schneiderlin depending on offers. In an ideal world we can keep hold of the three youngsters and just sell all the others, can't see it happening though. -

Just started a new game since I had to reformat my machine, hoping it will run a bit better now. Going to go with Southampton again and try to build a team around the youngsters with a few old heads in for experience. Glad to see some of you have gained promotion in season one, gives me some hope. -
You should probably say what that links to, not everyone likes to see CA/PA.
-
I do like to be different! It's not quite as strange as it looks. Schneiderlin just sits in front of the back four and Binya comes back to help alot, the two full backs are very attacking and the four attacking players are all over the place. My main downfall is not having any quick centre backs, I get battered by any quick strikers.
-
That would be a waste imo, no better than the likes of Mills, Thomson, BWP, Holmes or Skacel. Any money we do have would be better spent tryinf to extend the loans for Cork and Pearce or maybe signing Robertson permanently. I guess Smith must have made a positive impression on Wotte and JP in training, he certainly hasn't done much during the games he's played.
-
I wouldn't really want Pekhart or Smith tbh.
-
Can add Gasmi and take away Pulis. Last season we had Vignal, Davies, Hammil, Pearce, Wright, Perry, Lucketti, Bennet, Ifill, Dailly, O'Hallaran and Pericard all here on loans at some point. There is always going to be a high turn around of players in this league although we do seem to have more loan deals than average.
