loved that. Liverpool much better in the first half and the second half we were much better. We were so sloppy in the first half and couldn't really strung two passes together. When mane and Vic came on it changed everything, we took control of the midfield and we had the pace against them. Went proper mental with the 3rd goal and loved seeing Ron going going mental. I sit behind the dugout and loved seeing the Liverpool bench look dejected. Proper "I was there" game.

Sell Vic for £20m and bring Morgan back for £15m and have him with Clasie and Romeu as our centre mids. Be a nice trio. -

Funnily enough I'm in agreement with this, I think they've been decent to watch and I still like Poch as a manager, like it or not Spurs were a step up with better resources and players which has been proven with them challenging for the title and us challenging for 7th again. If Spurs win then fair play to them, it'll be fans that will be insufferable.

Mason dropped for this weekend. D!ickhead -
Sigurdsson has 2 years left on his contract and likes it at Swansea, I reckon 10-15m will get him.

Lovren, Alderweireld or van Dijk?

I cited Toby as he was quality for us but Toby it getting level now. He's been immense. -
Newcastle and Sunderland play each other next week. Winner stays up. Love to see a draw and Norwich sneak it though.

Imagine being a Leicester fan right now. 5 points clear at the top and I think this time last season they were in the relegation zone. With Swansea winning the relegated teams will be out of the current bottom 4 and I think the current bottom 3 are down.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 Sunderland

VvD was motm by a country mile. Won pretty much everything in the air and dragged us kicking and screaming to a point. Romeu was good as well, his long range vision is excellent and he battled well in midfield. As a team we were pretty poor in the attacking 3rd today, needed long. Martina wasn't as bad as some people who were watching from their sofas were suggesting but we could've done with Cedric on the pitch. -
When I got married to my first wife in 2004 we went on a Kenyan/Tanzanian safari, we caught a connecting flight from Kenya to Tanzania and I was sat next to a pompey can. Merrily chatting until he asked where I was from, when I I said Southampton he said "oh, I'm from Portsmouth" he never really spoke to me after that. I thought it was funny but he got all weird. Luckily the flight didn't last long.

I know you're bitter about Leicester being where they are but you can't fluke a season I'm afraid. Regarding the OP - No. It'll be nice if Leicester win the league, prefer them over anyone else at the top but I want us to beat them like every team we play against.

I did exactly the same and it was torn cartilage so hopefully that is the problem and not ligaments. -
Poch wouldn't leave Spurs for Chelsea or Man U
Saint_Ash replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
Poch is a quality manager, he makes his players work extremely hard and going to spurs was a step up. If he wins the league it will be an excellent achievement only slightly watered down due to the surprise poor effort by Chelsea and Man u having a manager who is struggling with his team. Of posh does win the league he'll be well and truly under the radar of the very top teams and if spurs start performing badly next season or go out of the champs league early he'll be off like a shot. -
great stuff on here from clueless people.

Be a good chance for Romeu to show what he can do with a good run in the team. I like him and hopefully he can show we can do well without Vic
-
Maybe I was a bit harsh. Championship/bottom premier league player. If Swansea get relegated it will be interesting to see what premier league team challenging for Europe will try and buy him.

life insurance is betting on own death? Surely it would be the same as betting that a game would finish and taking money? nothing whatsoever the same as backing saints for failure.

Sorry but cork is a good championship player at best

Ahhh St lej probably didn't get a chance to trade out. why aren't the odds plummeting?

But Yoshi shouldn't be near the team according to the knowledgeable guru's on this site. Humble pie being munched by a bunch of mugs tonight? Excellently fought win and we need our whole squad to do it.

Saints v West Ham Build Up - Game now Saturday 6th Feb 1730
Saint_Ash replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
I expect we'll bring yoshi in the back 3 and have Bertrand as the left wingback. Yoshi is pretty physical which will be needed is Carroll plays. -
Koeman only manager to win 3 games in January including 3 clean sheets and an away win at United. No one has done better.

Saints v West Ham Build Up - Game now Saturday 6th Feb 1730
Saint_Ash replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Austin hasn't had much game time so hoping this injury is just a tweak and not anything long lasting as he will be an excellent player to come off the bench for the final 20 minutes until he's fully fit. I think Clasie will come in for Romeu but I think Romeu is a quality player and should stay in the team. I expect Pelle to be picked for this match as well and maybe Long rested.
