  1. If there is a power cut, do you replace the electrical appliances in your house?
  2. Brawn have already said they would be willing to compromise next years car to secure this years WCs. I can only assume they've had to do that to stay ahead of Red Bull. I don't think they'll be bad, but I can't see them being in the WC hunt, unless they get some hefty financial backing. "Leibherr F1" anybody?
  3. Think "Come on Jenson" sums it up perfectly for me.
  4. Hate to say it, but I can't see Brawn being any nearer to the WDC than Renault next season. This is Brawns big season. It is something of an anomaly with Honda building an absolute demon of a car, but I can't see them having the resources to compete again next season. Hope I'm wrong, but I'd say next year will be between McLaren, Ferrari and Red Bull
  5. The team really needs some width. I'd go with this formation: Davis James Trottman Jaidi Schneiderlin Saga Hammond Lallana Mellis Holmes Lambert[/codE]
  6. Waigo - Might not work James and Lallana - Definitely not working I know what I'd go with.
  7. I just told you. To give us some pace out wide and hopefully offer us some more natural width than James and Lallana, neither of whom look entirely comfortable with their roles. I have been lead to believe that he can play wide right. I haven't seen it myself, but if he has in the past it is well worth a try IMO.
  8. Had to think about it for a moment, but yes very good.
  9. Maybe so, but I'd still prefer to use him as a wide player to get the best out of himself, Lambert AND Saga. Would be nice to have some genuine width for the first time in about 3 years. I think if we just use Lambert to flick the ball on for Papa, we will be very one dimensional and just end up playing hoofball. All the oppositon would need to do is sit deep and put a big guy on Lambert and we're fresh out of ideas.
  10. Just seen that story on SSN. ******!!! Hopefully the race will go ahead. F1 just wouldn't be the same without Spa.
  11. I'll bet, considering there wont be a race there next season. And yes your right, but I'm going to Spa!:axe:
  12. I think Theo and Pahars are the only players we've had with pace AND quality in the last decade. The rest have been either one, the other or neither. Pace is important, but I've seen performances from some quick players, like Dyer, BWP and Kenton, which were just awful. Personally I'd play Waigo out wide and try and get some decent service into Saga and Lambert. Up front Papa could run like Usain Bolt, but if we've still got the same old problem in midfield there's only so much he can do.
  13. Spoke to a couple of people on here about going to Spa for this years race, but unfortunately I left it a bit late and nobody could get time of work, etc. Anyway, I'm planning to go to next years race and thought I'd see if anyone on here wants to tag along. Would be good to put a few names to faces and better than going on my tod again. Thought I'd get the message out early in case people need to request the days off work in advance. I'd probably be driving over and getting the ferry from Dover. Naturally the cost of the ferry, fuel and hotel (depending on where we stay) would be cheaper the more people who go. Bronze tickets for the weekend are 160 euro. Everyone is welcome. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Edit: Rough idea of costs: 3 day bronze ticket - e160 (£140 ish) Return ferry - £120 Fuel - £150 (I stayed in a hotel in Charleroi which was 1 hr 30 from Spa) Hotel - e40 a night, 4 nights (£140 ish, £70 for 2 sharing. Basic but clean hotel) So if we take 1 person - £550 2 people - £345 3 people - £300 4 people - £278 More than 4 and we'd need another car.
  14. Never been a fan of GK as captains, Hammon would be my first choice. Even though er... I've never seen him play. :-s
  15. Why not. I thought Heikki left on decent terms and Alonso went back afterall. Kimi is a bit of a stretch, but that's one of the runours I've read recently. It looks likely Alonso will oust him at Ferrari so he will have to go somewhere, assuming he stays in F1.
  16. Ah ok, that explains it. Still would have been funny though, if Nelson couldn't even crash properly. I can just imagine him 5 minutes later stood the other side of the barrier pouring a barrel of oil onto the track.
  17. Sadly not. Not worth the lost £££, not by a long way. Should be getting to quite a few games after this weekend though.
  18. I'd rather Carlisle won to be honnest. Would make it all the more satisfying if we won on Saturday.
  19. Realistically, which drivers would you like to see where next season? I'd go with: Brawn - Button and Kubica Red Bull - Webber and Vettel Ferrari - Alonso and Massa McLaren - Hamilton and Raikkonen Toyota - Glock and Heidfeld Renault - Kovalainen and Grosjean Williams - Rosberg and Senna Force India - Fisichella and Sutil Torro Rosso - Buemi and Algae USF1 - Montoya and Patrick (neither will happen but it would be brilliant) Manor - Davidson and Sato The other one - Meh
  20. I could be making this up, but in 2002 we're we 1-1 at OT going into the final minutes, then we had a stone-wall penalty turned down. Then Forlan scored a screamer in injury time and was running around for a bit with his shirt off because he couldn't get it back on in time for the restart. Then there was the 3-2 defeat the year after when Van Horse scored the winner from a clearly offside possition.
  21. It was easier to get decent shots of Badoer, he was going so slowly. It all goes tits up for Nando Plenty of homework for Ponty Two Dutch fans try to make off with a 20ft polystyrene advertising board from the trackside.
  22. I know, but if I'm thinking of the righ crash, Nelson's car came to a stop on te inside of the exit from a corner, off the racing line. If it wasn't for the debris I reckon double waved yellers could have done it. Anyway, didn't Kimi crash at the end of that race without bring out the SC?
  23. Can't believe it. Carlisle is less than 2 hours from my house and I can't go because I'm working.
  24. Probably took about 800 shots throughout the weekend, of which about 300 aren't blury or the back end of a car.
