  1. Sorry, of all the opinions I've seen on this thread, that one is way off. It's comments like that which fuel the "scousers love grief/being victims" stereotypes.
  2. Any idea of how much closer the 'none-difuser' teams will be when they modify their cars? How much faster will Piquet go flying off into the gravel trap when it's all sorted?
  3. I'm not going, but it wouldn't really put me off. I'd be a bit eiry, but I've been to plenty of other places where a lot of people have met a terrible death. East Midlands Airport, Kings Cross Underground station, The Piccadily Line, The beaches of Dunkirque, The Mont Blanc tunnel...
  4. Aaagh. Just found out I've got May off work. Sadly for that reason I can't afford £230 for a kick around. Equally it isn't really worth driving down from Lincolnshire for 45 minutes of football. Have fun though all the same.
  5. It seems both me and rattly stand corrected.
  6. Yeah, but to all intents and purposes... It's like Beattie's free kick against Arsenal in 2002, or MLT against Wimbledon.
  7. Anything Nintendo have built since the N64. This includes the Wii, the game cube, the DS and the Gameboy advance. The wii - yes a very clever bit of kit, but some of the games, f**kin' 'ell! The ones like playing basketball, bowling, golf, throwing bean bags. There worst is one being advertised at the moment, where 2 girls go round to each other's virtual house and do things like Easter egg hunts and going to bed. What is wrong with people, if that's their idea of fun?! Get a f**king life! Make some friends, go bowling in real life. The DS - Very similar complaints. The current "game" being advertised involves two people taking pictures of themselves, then turning the pictures blue and distorting them. I'd get bored of that "game" before I even bought it. The Game Cube - Not Nearly as bad as the wii and DS, but a sh*t console if you liked anything other than Pokemon. The GBA - Just a pointless redesign of the Gameboy Colour designed to rip off gullible kids. Bring back the N64 and Goldeneye. That was a classic game. Being a spy and shooting baddies. That's the whole point of a computer game. Doing stuff you can't do very easily in real life. Rant over.
  8. Is there any evidence or eyewitness accounts anywhere to suggest there is a giant teapot orbiting the Earth?
  9. Posh differs from Goody in that she has 2 understandable reasons to be famous. Firstly, she was part of one of the most successful girl groups of all time. Secondly, she is married to one of the most famous sportsmen on earth. Whilst this may not deserve fame in itself, it is an understandable reason to be famous. Much the same as Coleen Rooney, Cheree Balir or even Princess Diana. Overall, I can tollerate Posh quite comfortably by simply not reading heat magazine. Goody on the other hand managed to get her ugly mug on the front of every media publication going, not to mention the 6 o'clock news and a 2 hour live special covering her funeral. All this with no reason what-so-ever to have any interest in her life.
  10. Won't be, wish I was, I would.
  11. FFS, there is no bee in my bonnet, I don't even have a particularly strong oppinion on this matter. I am simply trying to make two points: 1. There were a number of factors which contributed to the Hillsborough disaster, including the design of the terracing and fencing, the lack of sufficient turnstiles for the number of fans, the traffic jams, large numbers of fans trying to force their way into the ground (some without tickets),the failure of the match officials to delay kick-off and poor Policing and stewarding. I am not saying, "they're just a load of p*ssed up scousers and they deserve it," at all. 2. Whilst the even was tragic, I really don't see as to why we need another minutes silence at all. The weekend after the disaster, sure. At the Anfield, 10/20/30 years after, yeah if they like. But I don't see why Saints or any other club needs a minutes silence just because it's 20 years and that's a nice round number. P*sses me off when people twist my words around to make me look like the villain, just so they can try and take the moral high ground.
  12. Scottish dialect.
  13. No, but I do remember the home game to Norwich in the playoff season. Bale took a free kick at the Northam end. It went inches past the right post, bounced against the pole supporting the next and hit the back of the net. Everyone in the Itchen North thought it was in and I was baffled as to why the goal wasn't given until I got home and read the match report. About 5 minutes later Bale did score with a sensational effort into the top left corner at the same end. As for players scoring free kicks... Vignal vs Leicester Skacel vs Yeovil Baird vs. Cardiff Aside from Bale, I think that's about is since we got relegated. So much for set piece specialists Idiakez, Surman, Wotton, Safri and Schneiderlin.
  14. Thr's a tim dlay on my 'E' ky. And I nvr said it was thral spirits. Just that it is possibl that ghosts as an ntity could xist. Whthr thy ar causd by unxplaind lctromagntic forcs, som form of unusual nrgy which is stord in buildings or just p*ssd off spirits of the undad, I cannot say. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  15. I see you've conveniently left gremelins out of that list. No doubt they make handy scapegoats when one of you F1 cars breaks down. :-k Hypocrit.
  16. Explain.
  17. Actually no, you just press a big button and the Earth moves downwards through space 36,000ft.
  18. The ambulences is the bit I really don't get. Maybe the Police thought they would just make the crowding worse, or that another crush would develop as fans swamped the ambulance crews. Who knows. And nobody is saying they deserve it because they are scousers, I certainly am not. However I do think the fact that a lot of fans without tickets, many of them drunk, were trying to force their way in, played a large part in the disaster. Also the fences would probably not have been built at all if it weren't for the Heysel disaster, which was in itself caused by Liverpool hooligans.
  19. I think if you want a serious review on a car, fifth gear is the programme to watch. Top Gear is more just entertainment, which happens to involve cars. Driving second hand cars accross the deep south and Botswana. Biking accross Vietnam, sending a Reliant Robin into space... none of this is relevant to new car buyers. It's just entertainment. Also, I think Clarkson is taking the p*ss when he refers to a car as having "lots of toques". I am sure he isn't that stupid and that the BBC wouldn't broadcast that if it wasn't deliberate.
  20. I don't believe the suns version of events at all, but like it or not, there was more to that incident than just poor policing. The Taylor report did ciriticise the policing heavily, but also acknowledged there were many factors and suggested improvement to grounds, such as all seater stadiums and the removal of barriers and fences. It just seems odd to me that a tragic accident, which was the culmination of a number of events, is being blamed on the Police.
  21. Only if you generalise all unexplained entities into one 'make-believe' group. There have been, as far as I know, no credible reports of any of the creatures you mention. Ghosts on the other hand have been reported accross the world for decades by many credible sources.
  22. I really don't get this 'justice' that scousers and certain other people seem to be after. It seems to me as just an excuse to have a dig at the Police, when in reality there were many factors which lead to the accident. Poor policing was a factor, as was the design of the ground and the fact that hundreds of p*ssed up fans without tickets were trying to get into the ground. It's not like the Stockwell Tube station shooting. The Police ad stewards were trying to relieve the situation by opening the side doors, which only exacerbated things.
  23. As he waves to the crowd, Rudi takes his eyes off the road and crashes his invisible motorbike into a Palace player.
  24. Good. As long as we're all friends.
  25. I know rememberence Sunday is about remembering everyone killed or injured in conflict, although the date is based around the end of WW1. I was simply responding to 1976Cs claim that it wasn't relevant to anyone at SMS.
