Again, we were never 2-0 down. It was 2-1 at one point, the Anders scored a screamer against the run of play.

Yep, Ormerod got the 4th. Technically we were 3-1 down on aggregate in the playoff second leg and came back to get it to 4-4. Doesn't really mean anything, but we did come back from 2 down. I think we also came from 2-0 down to get a draw against Villa in the same year as the Fulham game too. We also got a draw from 2 down at Barnsley last season. Looking a bit bleak for wins though. We came from behind twice to win 3-2 at Burnley in the playoff season, but were never 2 down. At Hull we were 2-0 up, then let in 2 before the break and went on to win 4-2 the same season.

Could? A rain soaked race to decide the title, with just a point in it if they finish where they start? It couldn't fail to be dramatic. Have to say, compared to the days when the title was a foregone conclusion before the halfway stage, the last 2 seasons have been thrilling. If Renault, BMW, Kimi and Heikki can find some speed in the winter, we could have a 6 ay title fight next season.

I believe he now works for Spurs. Sorry, I know it's The Lounge.

Ferk, it was 2-0 whI wandered off to watch the F1 and eat pasta. Maybe I should do that more often. What's a brown head, and how does wearing one help our current situation? :-?

Who is playing where now. I thought Gobern was a LB, does that mean Jan had the sense to move Skacel into midfield or are we still playing our best goal threat in defence?

It keeps Scooby and Sundance quiet. :smt102

Chat on here please. I'm going for 4-1 in the final score sweepstake.

We don't need lazy players who score loads of goals FFS!! We need enthusiastic youngsters who run around alot and want to play for us. Totaal Voetbal!!

Jo Tessem got an injury time winner off one against Sunderland in the Cup final season. Other than that, no they never seemed that effective.
-
Was it from a Delap long throw, or a Higgy hoof up the pitch?
-
I did that as soon as Rasiak was loaned. Since John left and with Pekhart and Robertson not fit, it looks like we're relying on DMG for goals... I feel sick.
-
Anyone else looking at that line-up and wondering where the next goal is coming from? Thomson, Surman, MS, Smith and DMG form the attacking component, or maybe were pinning our hopes on Skacel pulling out another howitzer from LB like he did against WBA last year.

On here please.

Didn't we win something like 6 league games in the whole of 2004? Leeds, Liverpool, Wolves, Man City, Blackburn and Pompey off the top of me 'ead.

You guy's better be there next weekend when I turn up again.

Jan also said he was aiming for 6 wins from 10 games, which is now 6 from 7 I think.

Tough opposition today. Saints haave failed to win in six attempts since relegation. Last season's fixture resulted in one of our 5 - something thrashings. 5-1 with a goal from Saga/o.g. The last meeting was at SMS with 90 minutes of dire football followed by an injury time sucker punch. Mean looking opponent... Team News: Pulis still injured, Gasmi apparently not fit enough for first team action yet, Lallana out with ankle injury, Surman faces late test, Skacel has a slight hamstring injury, but should play. Svensson played 45mins behind closed doors but isn't ready. Perry, Mills and Pekhart apparently have an illness, although Perry is training. Robertson may feature, as might Pearce. I'd pick: Davis Cork - Pearce - Perry - Mills Gillett - MS - Surman -Skacel Robertson - DMG

I know a guy who used to work in A and E, had a similar story, except some bloke claimed he fell down a flight of stairs naked and landed on a lamp. I'll leave you to guess what was inserted where.

Can't blame Lowe entirely for what has happened SINCE relegation. In our first season down, Redknapp admitted that he had more money to spen, but just couldn't find the players he wanted to spend it on. That may have been because the money Lowe was prepared to invest didn't match the valuations of Redknapp's targets, or because Bagpuss wasn't really in the job. The most likely answer is a combination of both. At the time I thought Burley's appointment was a good one. However with hindsight he badly underachieve and blew what was perhaps our only chance to get back into the Prem for another decade. Whether or not we spent beyond our needs with the parachute payment I cannot say, but what happened last summer was criminal. Aside from Burley's complete lack of interest in the defence, the board allowed our wage bill to increase, despite the huge drop in revenue. I was pleased we signed Saganowski and we needed Thomas, but Euell? Last season Crouch made a massive error in loaning out Rasiak and Skacel, which almost relegated us in itself. He did however make up for it with the appointment of Pearson. He turned out to be an excellent appointment, which few on here, myself included, could have foreseen. Lowe's decision to fire Pearson and replace him with a manager from the Dutch equivalent of Bognor Regis town was a gross error of judgement and another case of Lowe's ego coming before the best interests of the club. Going by most reports on here, JP looks out of his depth and is making Burley-esq errors in team selection, substitution and transfer, if indeed they are his errors.

Each to their own. Looks like they have similar eyes, nose and jaw to me.
