Beattie and Pahars both had perfect records since MLT retired, they used to alternate between who took them. Rasiak (if you include rebounds), Kenny, Skacel (1 from 1) and Vignal also had perfect records. Surely we can get MLT in for one day a week to instruct on penalties.

Who's coming on Tuesday to watch Saints trounce Norwich?
Arizona replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
Up until last season, we'd beat Norwich on every visit to SMS. First their was the cup 5th round in 2003, then the 4-3 in the relegation season, a retaken McQ penalty was the only goal in the first CCC season and Kenny got a brace when we came from behind just before Christmas 2006. Off the top of me 'ead... We took them to the cleaners last year too, but just couldn't find the net. Rasiak and Skacel were by far the best players on the pitch in what was the last game for both of them. Both hit the woodwork and the 'keeper at least once. BWP played on the wing and was abysmal. -

Was planning to, but sadly I wont be home by then. -
It's a f*cking outrageous decision, but it would be soooo sweet if Hamilton still wins the Championship. TBH though, this is nothing to do with Massa. I've never been a Ferrari fan, but nobody can deny Felipe deserves this years title. After a terrible start he has just blitzed Kimi ever since the French Grand Prix. If it weren't for that engine blow in hungary, he'd pretty much have it in the bag already. Still want Hamilton to win tommorow though, or at least finish second behind Coulthard.

They'll be dancing in the streets of The New Saints tonight. Someone had to...

I'm actually starting to find Scooby's comedy rather tedious. Just the same jokes over and over again, maybe you need some new material. Still astonished that people respond to these posts seriously though.

Sponsored by muffins - the new doughnuts. An o.g. from an ex. Saints and a dodgy penalty, but I'll take that the way things have been going.

Penalty!!!!

Hopefully the race will be a bit more entertaining than the similar circuit in Valencia. I know this Grand Prix is all about publicity etc. but I'd take tracks like Spa and Silverstone any day of the year.

It happens. This wasn't the first time players have been injured in the same match and it wont be the last. This scenario is nothing special. Don't blame it on bad luck or "bad things always happen to Saints". It's our own fault for not having anywhere near enough depth to cover for injuries. 2 valuable players... you could argue most players in our squad are valuable, there are so few of them.
-
We don't, we get the same quota as any other club. They just hit harder because we have such a ridiculously thin squad.
-
Please try and keep all the excitement on this thread.

Matt Oakley scores for the Foxes.

All first half action on here please. Saints team: Davis James - Wotton - Lancashire - Mills Lallana - Cork - Schneiderlin - Surman John - DMG Subs: Forecast, Pekhart, White, Paterson, Perry And just incase the game is really boring...

If we lose I really wont give a sh*t because it's what I've been expecting ever since preseason. I treat every draw away from home, or win as an unexpected bonus and it's far less depressing.
-
Really really sh*t game and 1-0 Donny.

He battled hard against West Brom, but was overall poor. Admittedly he was being played out of possition at left wing, but he was none-the-less ineffective and lacking in ideas.
-
Skacel. I know you're convinced he needs a defribulator after an hour on the pitch, but he isn't as bad as all that. Don't forget in the playoff season he played 2 hours at left back and still had enough energy left to take a better penalty than Best or Idiakez. I agree it is pointless bringing in a striker, when we have a 20 goal a season man sat on the bench. However I think a defender, more specifically a fullback, is of greater need than a central midfielder. I still can't believe we are trying to go through a season with NO experienced fullbacks in our squad.

If he was a horse they'd have shot him. Not because he is badly injured, because he is awful. Yes he was better under Pearson, but there were a lot of games when he was poor and saying he "came good" is being a bit kind on him. From the games I saw, he was crap at Hull and very average at Charlton. Most of the reports were less than glowing after the Burnley and Cardiff games.

I think DMG mentioned something about a group of seaguls after the Rotherham match. It was right after he kung-fu kicked that fan.

If this means we can afford to play Skacel, then it's a moment of inspiration in the nick of time. If this is just another chance to save some money, then Lowe is clearly getting more retarded by the day. Dyer may not be our best player, but the squad is hardly overflowing with tallent as things stand.

JP has much tougher working conditions than Burley ever did. I dread to think what GB would have "acheived" with this lot, but it probably would have been worse. JP is at least making a decent fist of the very limited resources available. I am not sure whether it is him or Lowe who chooses not to play Skacel. Whoever is responsible deserves to be shot. Burley on the other hand badly mismanaged a group of very tallented players. To think the likes of Vignal, Skacel and Saga were regularly overlooked in favour of Wright, Euell and BWP... Overall, out of the two, I think I'd rather have... Pearson.
