  1. Virgin use the old A340, -300 series aircraft on their LHR-JFK route. Virgin have 6 of them, all of which have personal TVs, but only one has the video on demand service found in the newer -600 aircraft. HTH.
  2. This would be the game a couple of months before we beat Pompey 3-0 to go 4th in the Prem at Christmas? I wish Poortvliet would lose the plot - Strachan style. Mine, aside from the relegation equalisers by Van Persie, Bent and Downing, not to mention the second half against Villa and the Man Utd game and losing to Pompey and... ah forget it, just that season. Anyway aside from that, it would have to be losing 3-0 at home to Watford last season. Burley picked a truly awful line-up littered with mistakes from previous matches he just hadn't learned from. Made worse by the fact that after such a horrific performance, he STILL couldn't see what he was doing wrong.
  3. The highlights of Saints comeback used to be on youtube. Luckily I downloaded them before they were removed. What a cross from MLT for Marian's equaliser, then diving into the crowd. Ah memories.
  4. Do you mean 'exhilarating' or are you implying he should add some kind of back-up system to his car?
  5. How about Mount Blanc? I'm not there now, but that is the view from my office window.
  6. Congrats DSM, help yourself...
  7. Well, from pretty much every game except Deby and Brum, I think neither of those is applicable.
  8. F**k no! Burley's results may have been better than ours thus far, but he massively underacheived with a far superior squad to the one we have now. If Burley just scraped into the playoffs with a squad containing Rasiak, Jones, Bale, Baird, Lundekvam, Skacel, Saganowski, Pele, Surman, Guthrie and Viafara, imagine what he'd do with these retards. Anyone hazard a guess at the team? Davis Wright Killer MS Surman DMG Perry lallana Euell John BWP *shudder*
  9. Having already knocked out Pekhart with his potent armpit odour, [barnsley Player] accidentally turned on his own team mate.
  10. BWP seems to have one good game in five, which was coincidentally has scoring ration last season. Every once in a while he makes a decent sub appearance and people crawl out of the woodwork and say, "OMFG BWP was great he MUST start the next game!!!!" It happened last yea after the games against Burnley (a), Barnsley (a) and Bristol City, but some people just never learn, much like BWP. There are those on here who are convinced EVERY player in our squad is good enough to play in the CCC, but BWP just isn't. If his names was Bradley Jones and we'd signed him from Aldershot for £100k, he'd have been out the door long ago.
  11. Would I be right in saying all those qualities were missing against QPR, Blackpool and Barnsley?
  12. Not selective reading, I am just pointing out that we can, and have, beatten every team in the Prem in the last 4 years we were in it, which included wins at The Bridge, Anfield and a draw at Highbury. There is nothing to say we can't beat these teams, even away from home, it is just difficult and rare. I don't see why winning away is so special anyway, I'd be much happier beatting Man Utd at SMS and getting dicked at OT, rather than doing the double over Derby this season. Anyway, have we actually beatten a top 2 team away from home since we were in CCC? 05/06 - Reading away - Lost 2-0 - Sheffield Utd away - Lost 3-1 06/07 - Sunderland away - Drew 1-1 - Birmingham away - Lost 2-1 07/08 - West Brom away - Drew 1-1 - Stoke away - Lost 3-2 I enjoy the fact that every game we stand a chance of winning.....unlike the Championship.
  13. Take your pick from: League One Standard Not enough Depth No killer ball Badly under funded Needing Rudi Skacel Lack of experience Lowe's false ecconomy. Don't encourage them.
  14. Sorry, but being unlikely to win at Stamford and OT is nowhere near enough to put me off the Prem. If anything it just makes it even sweater when we do get a result. 4-2 at the Bridge on new Years day 2002. The 3-3 at OT when pahars nutmegged Stam and Le Tiss "nutmegged" Taibi, then Beatts nearly won it in injury time. 2-1 at Anfield in 03/04 when we did the double over them. Ormerod scoring after 70 seconds and Killers getting on the scoresheet. Even in the relegation season, with Wigley at the helm, we came within seconds of winning at Highbury. And that's without going near the numerous fantastic results at home. Sorry, but beatting Stoke and West Brom at home last year didn't give me a boner and I certainly wont be telling the grandchildren about Saturday's masterclass of footballing tallent.
  15. Why not make things a bit more challenging and go for 31st a birthday party. Anyway, snowmobiling.
  16. Okay, I'll rephrase it. The CEO of the company you work for, but you've never actually met.
  17. Overall yes, but then I'd expect Surman to score more than a player who played at LB last season and played for Hearts 2 years before.
  18. Surman has scored 1-4-4 per season, Skacel has 4-1 per season.
  19. The players come running up to you outside the stadium asking for autographs.
  20. And wrong too, because West Brom had 17 points after 9 games last season.
  21. Where you turn round to the guy sat next to you and shout, "Oi! Over 'ere!"
  22. Nobody has scored more goals from midfield in a season since MLT retired. Also our second top assister after Bale in the playoff season. DMG and BWP may well have overshaddowed this with their performances today, but I think Skacel just might be worth a try.
  23. Whilst I am disappointed with fans who stay away because of Lowe, I fully sympathise with those who just don't enjoy it any more. I might be moving back to Britain in the next couple of weeks. The way things are going the, "£50 (inc. fuel) to watch games like that," side of my brain, is being overruled by the "f**k it, I'm going skiing" part of my brain.
  24. "I had to sell my 15 best players in summer" Only a matter of time...
  25. I can tollerate your posts more than most apls, but that last bit is wide of the mark. Lowe isn't a football manager, he has nothing to gain from the first team. I think he has appointed JP as a yes-man, one who is willing to work with an almost entirely youth team and not complain about our (lack of) transfer pollicy. I think he has stopped short of actually picking the team himself and can't see any grounds for that accusation.
