What was the atmosphere at SMS like today?
SuperMikey replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Disappointing really. Sang my heart out all game but barely anyone in Block 38 (or the rest of the f*cking stadium) could be bothered. Need to sort it out. -
I should have stipulated - Windows OS please!

We've already got the English Messi!

Had my laptop for about 6 years now, and it's starting to die. Very slow, crashes often and hard drive is too small. So now i'm looking for a new one to save up for! Currently have an MSI laptop (can't remember the specific product name), with 2.1GHz Dual Core Processor. Ideally i'd like a faster one that can be used for gaming so that I can actually play FM without it taking 3 hours to load a game! Had a look at a few already, but wondering if anyone had any tips on what to get? Lots of offers on at the moment because of the Uni term starting again soon, so might look to capitalise on that. Budget is around £500.

I'm going, and that's all you really need.

It's just bluffing. Bologna need to sell him, we want to buy him. His agent coming out and saying it's broken down is probably a ploy to take some media interest off the deal so we can get it done quietly. Hell, Cortese may have even asked him to do it! Fact is, we have the money to conclude the deal. They need the money. Everything else is Bologna arsing around. Hopefully they'll realise the urgency of the matter and all 3 parties can leave happy.

I'd buy my local team, Hartley Wintney FC, and try to take them (as Chairman) to a good League 1 standard. They're already on the way up with a good manager and young squad, so it would be a good challenge. CRRCCPD to L1? I'd say 25m - including building on the existing ground. I'd get my Dad to do the books. I would invest c.10m in some form of new technology - whether it's a renewable energy thing or maybe just a faster processor. Obviously share a bit out amongst charities, friends, family etc - that's about 15m as well. Got about 100m left on that, buy a few nice houses with a bit of that. One in Scotland near Perth, one down here and one in Monaco. We'll say about 20m for that. The rest I would live on, investing a few hundred grand in small businesses occasionally. Mostly try to stay out of the limelight though, no falling out of nightclubs at 4am. I've done enough of that already..

We should look to control this game from start to finish. Wigan are a good attacking team but as they showed against Chelsea the other day, they have some holes in their defence that we can really exploit (Ooh, Matron!). Get at them, play pacy players, don't let them keep the ball and most importantly, the fans have to create a brilliant atmosphere for the players to thrive in. ----------------DAVIS------------------- CLYNE-----FONTE-----HOOIVELD-----FOX ---------------MORGAN------------------ --------JWP-------------LALLANA-------- GULY----------LAMBERT-------RODRIGUEZ Subs: Gazzaniga, Richardson, Seaborne, S.Davis, Puncheon, De Ridder, Sharp Think Steven Davis has earned a starting place but Ward-Prowse was very impressive considering his age and think Davis could make a real impact with his energy if he came off the bench at around an hour as he did yesterday. If we can improve that squad above with 1 or 2 signings before this game then I think we'll be in a fantastic position! Got to win this game though against Wigan as the opportunities to pick up points early in the season with the fixtures that we have will be far and few between. Yesterday showed that we're not afraid to get in the faces of the big boys in this league and we didn't roll over at 3-2 like most would, we pressed so hard for that equaliser and their defenders had to make a few hasty clearances under lots of pressure from our forward line.

I did cry a little bit when we scored that second goal, never been so happy at a footy game before! To think we nearly didn't have a club 3 years ago, but today we nearly beat the reigning champions on their own turf...unbelievable.

Guly was great today. Worried the defence with his movement when up top, made some sizzling runs down the flanks when he switched out wide and held the ball well in midfield. People often criticise him for his lack of effort, but I thought he really bust a gut for this team today. Lambert was more effective as a striker, sure, but Guly was a key man for us today. Thought Puncheon was a bit rubbish, didn't keep the ball well, outmuscled too easily on a number of occasions when holding the ball up and left way too much space out wide for City to attack in, especially in the second half. Don't want to be overly negative on players though as they gave a great team performance - very proud to be a Saints fan tonight.

I booed Aguero. Rolling around and getting play stopped, physio attention for 5 minutes then walked off the pitch! Tw*t. Still think he's a cracking player though.

11-13th We've got momentum, a great spirit in the squad and most importantly a positive mentality. Some teams will lose a few on the bounce and get down, but I can't see that happening to us. With a few more signings I think we'll do really well!

F*ck me that is hilarious!

Massive respect for Cov fans, especially after the way you acquitted yourselves in the last game of the season. League One was so much fun, some great away trips and less plastics at games too. As long as SISU put some money into the club or you get those muggy c*nts out of the boardroom, you'll have a ball. Will be looking out for your results!

If we actually sign him I will go mental! Can seriously see us finishing top half with him and 1 or 2 CBs concluding our transfer dealings!
-
Oh and well done Foxy!
-
Ah yes, I couldn't remember which one it was! Burley captained us in the 98 WC right? Or was that John Collins?
-
I've only just stopped crying.
-
Does Ryan Smith have wristbands? No. And we all know that's what's important in life.
-
Screw that, lets get Papa Waigo back!
-
It's not easy getting out of bed, and it's too easy getting off my head.
-
As long as we score, the away trip will be justified. 3-1 City.

Sean Murray is very, very good. Would be happy if we signed him, although not really Starting XI quality yet imo, which is what we need.
