Craig Gordon and Artur Boruc. Would take either of those now.
-
Puncheon's fault for those goals, left Gibbs in far too much space and doubled up on Clyne's man. His marking and general performance was f*cking dreadful yesterday.

He's really not very good.

From reading up on www.footballgroundguide.com I think i'll be buying in the Paddock. Might be able to actually see something!
-
Adz is on the bench tonight.
-
Kevin Friend is refereeing. Thank christ for that.

I wonder if we can get the wingers swapping over during the match working again. Really troubled defences with Chambo and Lallana swapping. Although that was in L1...
-
I'm generally a pretty calm person, never been involved in a football-related fight, but something snapped then. I'm pretty sure I would've waded in - never been so angry in my life...

Well if you go and watch games you'll see that Jos is by far the better of the 2. His decision making needs to improve but I have no doubt that his positioning etc will be worked on. Can't see him being too eager to give away more penalties.
-
More importantly we need a song for Jos!
-
I still like the idea of a song for Clyne based around Red Red Wine. And that Morgan Schneiderlin song is quite good too.
-
Jos may have given away 2 penalties so far this season but he's been the better of our defensive pairing. I'd keep Jos + Jose together for the Arsenal and bring Yoshi on for fresh legs at the back. Doubtless we'll be under a lot of pressure during the game.

FA Cup 5th Round against the Skates in 10/11. Thought we had a chance when Rickie equalised, but then they tore us apart at the back (Jaidi and Perry at CB as Fonte and Thomas were cup tied/injured) and it finished 4-1. Remember being in the family stand with my Dad and watching Kelvin grabbing in slo-mo at the shot for their 4th goal as it span over him. Obviously the Skates at home last season as well. Goading their inbred fans when we went 2-1 up only for Norris to equalise minutes later. Never been so angry at SMS before, dozens of us trying to push past the police line in the Itchen North to get at them as they sat there all smug. F*ckers. Obviously the City + Utd games this season too, but at least there were silver linings to those games in terms of performance.

Takes you one way then throws you the other! Can't believe we've got to wait a year for more...

Not quite sure why people are putting Gazzaniga in ahead of Davis. Hasn't shown me anything of what i've seen of him to suggest that he's ready for a Prem start. Kelvin's done well for us so far and i'm sure he'll learn from his mistakes at the weekend.
-
He did play very well, but so did everyone else in our midfield. Lallana was great out wide and the trio of Davis, Schneiderlin and JWP in the middle was also very good. Ramirez will start. Punch may feel aggrieved but he's not guaranteed a place. I'm more worried about dropping Lee from the bench than dropping Punch from the Starting XI.

Green Mile never fails to make me cry. Great film. RIP MCD!
-
I'd have Clyne on the left and Richardson on the right. Two-footedness of Clyne should help us to cope with Arsenal's wingers cutting inside.
-
Saw something the other day that said SAF popped up into Crouch's corporate box to say hi to Lawrie Mac before the game started. So presumably he's still running his business and watching Saints on the weekend.

Breaking Bad [s5E8] Just finished watching it and i'm speechless. This can't be happening. F*ck f*ck f*ck. I'm going to bed.

I too thought that Chappers would have been the perfect player to come off the bench yesterday. Schneiderlin was really effective in winning the ball from the Man Utd midfield by pressing and getting in their faces - that's what Chaplow does very well. I would've gone 4141 with my subs: ----------------KELV----------- CLYNE---JOSE---JOS---FOX -------------MORGAN-------- ---CHAPPY---JWP---DAVIS- -------------MAYUKA--------- -----------------JAY-------------

Four men watching as RVP comes short and nods it in. Fonte's man I believe.
