  1. Har har. What I meant by that was that their wide players like to cut in, so our midfield needs to play deep and stop Dembele etc drifting into space around the box.
  2. - Nolan threw an arm at Yoshida in the first half, which luckily didn't connect but ref didn't spot it and Maya carried on with the game. - Carroll was tugging shirts and holding onto his marker just as much as we did to him, but none of our players fell over (40 f*cking times). - Collins was climbing all over Lambert when he came on - Reid was shoving everyone at set-pieces, whether defending or attacking them. - The ref was lapping it up with a gobsh!te like Nolan in his ear all the time. What Fat Sam does is coach his players to bend the rules. How they didn't get a card while we got 2 is unbelievable.
  3. Butterfield is not the answer. If you think Fox is bad at this level...

    Lambert

We both know he's not just a target man up top. He drifts all over the place and covers a lot of ground. Thing is he's not our only striker and we need different players for different situations. Agree about Mayuka though, think he'd be quality playing off Rickie/Jay.
  5. But even when he came on as 'fresh legs' he won nothing. They had him neutralised, both in the air and on the deck.

    Lambert

Rickie's hardly an athlete, and he's looked tired well before he's been subbed in a few games. The game plan yesterday involved a mobile forward who can cope aerially, and Jay Rod fits the bill there. I can understand that people are miffed that Rickie isn't on the pitch for 90 minutes, but there are tactical and physical limitations to that.
  7. Not really sure you can blame the 4th solely on him, Fonte didn't do his job properly either. People seem to be far too quick to put the blame on individuals when really our second half performance defensively was appalling.
  8. We'll need to be wary of them, and be really compact. Bale and Defoe have been scoring for fun recently and they've got some excellent attacking players. ------------------GAZZA-------------- CLYNE----FONTE-----JOS---MAYA ---------MORGAN----DAVIS-------- PUNCH-------LALLANA------GULY -----------------LAMBERT------------ Subs: Boruc, Fox, Seaborne, Chaplow, JWP, Mayuka, Rodriguez
  9. I agree actually, Lambert hasn't been great the last few days and Jay led the line well actually. When Lambert came on the midfield had to do a lot more running as he was playing them in as opposed to running with the ball like Jay Rod was. Personally I would've taken off Punch and Jay Rod in the second half and played 442 with Lambert and Mayuka up top. But I agree, we didn't create much and Rickie was winning nothing against Collins yesterday.
  10. Yoshida can play with both feet, as can Clyne. Besides, Harding did well for us when he was filling in at RB and he is very much a left-footed player. I imagine our #1 priorities in Jan will be a LB and a CB from the Prem. But who?
  11. Considering Maya is a CB, I thought he was great yesterday. Most people who get played out of position at LB would be tempted just to sit deep and play it out, but he wasn't afraid to overlap and run with the ball.
  12. Martinez would be a hell of a long shot, but we've got the resources here to build a great team which Wigan frankly don't have. Has done really well under a lot of pressure at Wigan and would be my #1 target. Bob Bradley was the USA manager from 2006-11 and is currently working wonders with the Egypt national squad. Gets his teams highly organised and plays good attacking football. Also has a reputation for bringing through young players. Villa were after him not long ago but he rejected them. Klinsmann may be unrealistic, but he'd be a cracking appointment. Good attacking football with an organised defensive structure. May be tempted by being able to splash a bit of cash and the challenge of building a team. Benitez would be ok, but not top of my list. Good reputation though so could help to attract some big names. Solskjaer has excelled in his managerial career so far. Would be a controversial appointment but I think he'll be a fantastic manager in the future. I must stress that we should keep Nigel though. Have some faith, cut him some slack and we'll reap the rewards. He's just got us back-to-back promotions ffs, he's no mug!
  13. Oh stop moaning at Guly you f*cking tosspots. Him, Davis, Schneiderlin and Lallana were our only decent players today. So f*cking predictable to blame it on him when our second half performance as a team was just poor.
  14. Probably because he's a cheating Geordie c*nt.
  15. I would stick with Adkins. However, if Cortese decides he needs to go (which would probably happen a few weeks before the Jan window) then any of the following will do: Roberto Martinez Bob Bradley Jurgen Klinsmann (good shout whoever that was) Rafa Benitez Ole Gunnar Solskjaer And absolutely NOT Redcrapp McCarthy Keane
  16. Even if we go down I would keep Nigel. He showed at Scunny that he's the king of getting teams back from the brink after relegation. I have faith that we can stay up and pick up points.
  17. Just back from the game. First half we were great, 2nd half not so much. Gifted them 2 goals early in the half, then got back into our stride and equalised but their penalty knocked the stuffing out of us. It was completely against the run of play and we looked like we'd given up. Carroll was falling over constantly and the ref was bottling it and giving everything their way in the 2nd half. Nolan is a proper c*nt too.
  18. Yyyeeeeelllooooowwws!
  19. I was on about the one at the crossroads, although I think I know which one you mean. S'alright in there. Fairly sure i've eaten at every takeaway in town.. I'd love to. Email me bb xxx

  22. You're a braver man than I thought, that Chinese is f*cking grim. The chips are greasier than my face when I was 14. Apparently the Chinese food is nice there though. Damn, I knew i'd forgotten something. Do you eat breakfast too or just grab a cereal bar at about 10?
  23. For some reason I was under the impression that RBS was bought by the BOE after the collapse. Banking isn't really my strong point (cue w4nking joke).
  24. That Pizza/Chicken place? Or the kebab shop? It's not too bad there. I can't wait for that, the life of a sales rep. Wake up, **** shower shave, OH CHRIST I'VE RUN OUT OF HAIR GEL, drive to shop, do hair in car park, drive to work. It must be mayhem. And I used Pataks, i'm not an animal ffs.
