  1. I like Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre podcast (or as all the cool kids are calling it - RHLSTP). Good interviews with people in comedy and can be f*cking hilarious. Also listen a lot to the old Russell Brand podcasts, before all that Sachs hooplah..
  2. What a bunch of idiots. Bet they wouldn't have been singing that walking round Shepherd's Bush..
  3. That bearded coot.
  4. Bearsy, what the fück? There are only 5 s's in that post...
  5. Depends on what league they're in really. If they were to go down they'd take £12m.
  6. As much as I hate to be negative after yesterday's win, I can't see us getting anything from the Newcastle game. They've got 2 big, strong and pacy forwards and a midfield that rarely loses possession. Their weakness, like us, is their defence, so perhaps we could capitalise on that. However, we should definitely line up like we did in the last 2 games, although if I were Nige I might toy with the idea of putting Boruc in for Gazza.
  7. Punch was excellent, although my MOTM has to go to Corky. Ran everything in that midfield and must have covered every blade of grass on the pitch. Great to have him back.
  8. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-20374282 Israel devastated Hamas HQ and the surrounding area today with a series of pre-dawn drone strikes.
  9. I doubt Bordeaux would let him go tbh. Would be an excellent signing though.
  10. Deary me Col... BIN = Buy It Now. Setting a price at which the item can be bought outright and instantly, as opposed to having to wait until the auction expires. Great advice about what time to list your items as well, nobody's going to bother "sniping" if the auction finishes at 4am on a Thursday.
  11. San Andreas was my favourite GTA game! Vice City pales in comparison. This looks good though.
  12. For me nothing will ever top Battlefield 1942 on PC. The peak of FPS gaming.
  13. The US will never seek to condemn Israel though, they're far too valuable a foothold in a region that's vital to the US. FWIW I think there are reservations that some have when going to criticise Israel because of events like the Holocaust. It's quite easy to be called anti-semitic when criticising Israel (and I have been accused of that when talking about Israel before). I think the problem of Israel getting away with what they have done almost scott-free may lie in the media representation of the parties involved. Very rarely do you see the Israeli forces involved in this on the news or in print media, whereas those on the Palestinian side of things tend to receive more coverage and have a more negative portrayal. After all, what's scarier to a person in the West than an armed Muslim? Because those in Israel are viewed as more Westernised a people than most others in that region, it seems that there tends to be less criticism aimed towards them by mainstream media (which effectively shapes popular opinion in the West) and certain things are overlooked. Will be interesting to see if any Western leaders have the balls to stand up and speak honestly about the situation.
  14. I agree with Pap on the issue of the Israeli land-grabs. Unfortunately there are so many fanatics on both sides here I think a "war" of some kind was always inevitable.
  15. You don't get points for that.
  16. Hamas firing rockets at Jerusalem.
  17. 1) Already have weapons for a temporary period, the procurement of more heavy-duty stuff would be to provide better defence for the future (depending on how long that lasts anyway). 2) True, but that's not the only option. There are other places to go to. My workplace would just be the first port of call for supplies.
  18. My interview technique is pretty good actually, never not been hired after having a job interview. So nyeh.
  19. Seems like there's a few people who need a bløwjob in the Middle East. Egyptian President said this morning that Gaza "will not be left to stand alone" in this. Thoughts?
  20. For some reason Danny, I always pictured you as a man in your mid thirties. It all makes sense now.
  21. ....don't question me.
  22. Re-read this the other day. Found out last year that one of my friends from Uni is Colin Stagg's niece - certainly put that section of the book into an odd light...
  23. This basically. RE: Clyne turning down United, I remembered it from a quote in an Echo interview, but being the shining beacon of sh!t journalism that it is, it was unclear exactly when he turned them down. Regardless, the point I was making was that United wanted to sign him and that we got him eventually.
  24. Artur Boruc - International keeper for Poland and 1st choice for Fiorentina last 2 years. Hardly unknown. Maya Yoshida - Regular for Japan, captained them at the Olympics. Hardly unknown. Gaston Ramirez - One of the best young prospects in Europe. Played in Serie A and has made several appearances for Uruguay, World Cup semi-finalists in 2010. Hardly unknown. Paulo Gazzaniga - Probably the closest to an unknown foreigner of our signings, but forged a good reputation last season. Jay Rodriguez - Burnley's top scorer for god knows how many seasons. Future England player. Hardly unknown. Steven Davis - Made over 100 apps in the Prem before captaining Rangers and N.Ireland. Hardly unknown. Nathaniel Clyne - England youth player, scouted by all the top clubs and turned down Man U to sign for us. One of the best young players outside the Prem. Hardly unknown. Seriously, people are freaking out because we didn't sign f*cking Messi.
  25. "Dark forces"?
