  1. Gazza would've saved their 2nd but then again he is 15 years younger than Kelvin. I do find it incredible that Boruc can't get a game though, he's very talented and is vastly experienced. Gazza has done well and will only get better, and Kelvin has proved in the past that he's a good keeper, but it's time to stop fúcking about and just play the man who's obviously the best player in that position.
  2. As i've been saying for weeks, can we PLEASE play Boruc now?!
  3. Wells and Heitinga would be good signings too. Heitinga can play as a DM as well.
  4. Looks like a good finisher, but coming up against defenders with some decent positioning would mean he'd get found out pretty quickly.
  5. Fúck me, they hate Nige more than the Brighton fans do! Impetus to go out and stuff them hopefully. ----------------------BORUC-------------------- CLYNE------FONTE------MAYA------SHAW -----------MORGAN------CORK-------------- PUNCH----------RAMIREZ-------JAY/GULY --------------------LAMBERT-------------------
  6. Watched Tyrannosaur today, been meaning to sit down and watch it for ages. The directorial debut for Paddy Considine, it stars Peter Mullen as an angry Scottish man whose path collides with abused religious charity shop worker Olivia Colman. While there are some really great performances in this, Mullen especially, I was a wee bit disappointed. While the whole thing looks fantastic, all derelict estates and bleak wintery landscapes, I thought the pacing was a little odd. Random outbursts of anger from Mullen seem to take precedence over really focusing on the plot, and I thought there was a lot more potential to really explore the abusive relationship between Colman and her psychopathic husband (Eddie Marsan). Still, it's worth a watch, if not for the performances alone.
  7. Ramirez should play in the hole, he's ineffective out wide. Would've taken a point before the game though so can't complain. Avoid defeat at Stoke on Saturday and i'll be relatively happy with Xmas so far considering the effect Lallana's injury has had on us.
  8. Pants, socks, Saints calendar, more pants, nice pair of trainers. Got my brother exactly the same gift that he got me - 'Heisenberg' t-shirts!
  9. Yeah, sometimes he passes it into touch too. For me it'd be Shawcross. Very solid, strong and a massive threat from set-pieces. Just what we need imo.
  10. My laptop is still broken so haven't had a chance to play any of FM13 yet. Hopefully all should be sorted before New Year's and I can crack on with making Saints European champions!
  11. Messi and Ronaldo are quite similar in terms of technical ability, but Messi has the ultimate footballing brain. He sees runs that nobody else can, he finds those few centimetres in the box that make the difference and his work rate is brilliant for such a gifted player. Comes across as humble and grounded and he looks as if he loves every minute he's playing professional football. Ronaldo on the other hand is sulky and extremely arrogant, although he is supremely gifted. If he had the mentality of Messi it might be a closer match, but alas no.
  12. I still find it incredible how much Brighton fans hate us. Bit pathetic tbh. Also them saying £2m + Lambert in the deal is hilarious - 3rd top English goalscorer in the Prem dropping back down to the Championship when he's been integral in 2 promotions with us? Having a laugh. As for Buckley, I think he's a fantastic player. Would feel better about Punch possibly leaving if Buckley was to come in. Any money from a deal involving JP would offset a spend on Buckley too, which would keep Delldays happy. Apparently we spent £30m in the summer - first i've heard of it.
  13. Best player in the Championship imo. Would be a fantastic signing.
  14. I just popped in for a cursory glance, chum.
  15. Got to be -------------------------DAVIS------------------------ CLYNE-------FONTE---------MAYA--------SHAW -----------------CORK---------MORGAN----------- PUNCH-------------RAMIREZ---------------GULY ---------------------RODRIGUEZ-------------------- Subs: Boruc, Richardson, Jos, Davis, Reeves, Lambert, Mayuka I'd be tempted to have Lee on the bench for Mayuka, but I think he can make an impact if he's utilised properly. Rickie to come on in the second half to give a tiring defence a bit of trouble. He'll be vital at Stoke 3 days later as well, so need him fresh for that.
  16. Agree with this. Tbh we should've started with Guly on the left yesterday in the first place. Looked so much better when he came on.
  17. Christ, I hope that was sarcastic.
  18. Also my track of the year is Emmylou by First Aid Kit.
  19. Not really bought any albums this year, but there's a few that i've fallen in love with. First Aid Kit - The Lion's Roar The Hives - Lex Hives Bloc Party - Four Crystal Castles - (III) Hot Chip - In Our Heads
  20. Why did you write that in Urdu? Weirdo..
  21. Reading through this thread hurts my brain. Who gives a f*ck if a 12 year old has a phone? By next year even dogs will have phones ffs. Don't like it? Shrug your shoulders and get on with your own lives you old farts.
  22. I think we set up wrong. Ramirez is ineffective on the wing and was drifting into the centre anyway. He needed to play through the middle with Rickie up top, Punch right and Guly left. I would've started Guly because he's more physical than Mayuka/Lee and holds the ball better too. You have to admit that we looked better when he came on.
