  1. Poor (insert character's name here) though. What a hero! He's basically just a human puddle now.
  2. I suppose all you can hope to do at P*mpey is to "endure" your time there.
  3. I was also going to make the Billy Sharp comparison, but I see all bases have been covered there. So i'll just agree.
  4. Proper gig venue that. Would be a hell of a shame to see it go.
  5. Wasn't good enough in League One imo. Seems like a nice guy, but time to go Danny.
  6. *high pitched voice* "HE'S RUBBISH!"
  7. Goes without saying, but it's a must-win game. Get Cork back in, I like Davis but he was carp against West Brom. --------------------GAZZA------------------- CLYNE----FONTE------YOSHIDA---FOX ---------MORGAN------CORK------------- MAYUKA-------RAMIREZ------LALLANA -------------------LAMBERT----------------- Subs: K.Davis, Shaw, Hooiveld, S.Davis, JWP, Guly, Rodriguez
  8. Catch me if you can. (it's really not that difficult).
  9. We've all thought about it, so what's yours? I live and work in Portswood. My family (and my housemate's family) live in North Hampshire. First objective is to reach them. - Go to my workplace (local shop) and load up on supplies. Find a warehouse/easily defensible building to hole up in for a day or two. - Find weapons (already have the intel on where to get them). Leave the city and head towards our families. - Upon finding our families, rally two or 3 vehicles and head north to Scotland. - I have family in a remote part of Scotland. The property we would be heading to is very easily defensible, not too far from food supplies (farms, small settlements with shops etc) and has access to weaponry. - Hole up there for as long as possible then head to a remote Scottish island (have pinpointed the exact one, but for security reasons it will remain unnamed!). - Survive. I'm mildly obsessed with this idea, so have planned it a bit too thoroughly.
  10. Couldn't agree more.
  11. Well they plugged gaps in their team and stayed up. I'd take that right now.
  12. Could have been a different game. I would keep Nigel regardless, think he's the man to take us back up if/when we go down. At least give him January to make some signings - we all saw what QPR did last season.
  13. An annoying picture of Matt Le Tiss keeps popping up on mine with him holding a single spoon. He's got "Have that Nicola you f*cking berk!" written on his forehead in lipstick. Confusing.
  14. Likewise. At the age of 12(ish) I bought Tainted Love by Marilyn Manson, Starbucks by A and Burn Baby Burn by Ash. I bought the album that Ash's single was on (Free All Angels) the week after and never looked back. Only point in getting a single now is if it's a remix.
  15. F&G is probably my favourite American sitcom. It was funny and watchable purely as a sitcom, but it also dealt with some pretty "heavy" topics very sensibly. Bit hammy at times but hey, who cares?
  16. I think that is what we're missing from our midfield tbh, even though we're pretty capable there already. He's more than just a clogger though, very technically able. Would be a great signing for £2m, although I agree the focus HAS to be on the defence.
  17. Angelo Ogbonna. Quality centre back. He signed a long contract earlier this year though so might be pricey. Gary Caldwell. Leader, organiser and very experienced. Jean Armel Kana-Biyik. We were in for him in the summer and should go back. Quality player. Martin Olsson. Like Clyne, but on the left. Liam Trotter. Physical yet technically good. Would shore up the midfield and very versatile.
  18. I would like to join the mutual circle-jerk and tell you that these chapter reviews are great, Bearsy.
  19. Sooooooo sh!t...
  20. Yep, it doesn't look good really. This month is vital in terms of picking up points - games against West Brom, Swansea, QPR and Norwich compared to playing Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City and Everton earlier in the season. If we don't get at least 2 wins then we are in trouble. I would say that we can pick up at least 7pts from the 5 fixtures in this month. West Brom - Winnable, but would take a point as it's an away fixture and given their start to the season. Swansea - They've been inconsistent and if we can starve them of the ball we can win. QPR - Have to win. Newcastle - Will be very difficult. Strong, fast and very good technically. Norwich - Well organised but we can beat them. I would say that if we beat QPR and Norwich, drew against Swansea and West Brom and lost against Newcastle, things will be looking up.
  21. I expect Ramirez will be involved from the start on Monday, Corky might be on the bench. -------------------BORUC---------------- CLYNE----FONTE----MAYA------FOX ---------MORGAN----DAVIS----------- MAYUKA-------GASTON---LALLANA ------------------LAMBERT-------------- Subs: Davis, Reeves, Hooiveld, Cork, JWP, Guly, Rodriguez I was torn between putting Jay Rod or Rickie up front. Think Jay has played well for us so far and he was excellent in the forward 3 we played second half vs Spurs. However Rickie and Gaston are both excellent link-up players and can bring the likes of Mayuka into play. Rickie keeps the ball better than Jay too, and that will be vital on Monday - retaining possession.
  22. St Johnstone Basingstoke Hartley Wintney
  23. Jane Austen, RJ Mitchell and MLT for me.
  24. Went to watch Eastleigh play Bath on Tuesday (Eastleigh won 3-1). Quite enjoyed it. Also been down to the Camrose about half a dozen times too. Used to live 100yds away from the ground of Hartley Wintney FC as well, so would go and watch them if I was in on a Saturday too.
