  1. I haven't received mine yet. Probably get them before the week's out though.
  2. My mate was at Japan vs Mexico in the Olympics today. I told him before he went to watch out for Yoshida, his first words to me when he came through the door after the game were "Sign him". Apparently he was immense. Also Japan's #7 put in an excellent shift, looked very tidy on the ball, good passing and movement and caused Mexico's defence a lot of trouble. That's Yuki Ohtsu, 21 year old midfielder who plays for Gladbach. He also came very highly recommended by my mate (praise from Caesar!).
  3. Right. I'll get my coat.
  4. Are you retrospectively predicting the future or do you mean Wolves, not Udinese?
  5. Dunesy "Bloody Socialist idiotses"
  6. Detecting a little bit of prejudice towards Scotland there...maybe not the best ploy if you want your argument to be taken seriously. As a Scotland fan the potential is there for us to be a good team. Fact is that Walter Smith is the only decent manager we've had since Craig Burley. In the 2008 Euro Quals under WS we narrowly missed out on qualifying ahead of Italy or France, both finalists in the 2006 WC. Since then we've had a few poor managers (George Burley and Craig Levein - who I don't think is good enough) and as such our performances have suffered. The fact that we banned our best GK (McGregor) and our influential captain (Ferguson) from international football for a period, put our best striker off playing for his country (S.Fletcher) and lost our best midfielder to a really unfortunate injury (D.Fletcher) contributed to our poor performances in International football. However, we've got some very promising youngsters coming through (Danny Wilson - Liverpool CB, Matt Phillips - Blackpool Winger, James Forrest - Celtic Winger) and the SFA have put lots of money into grassroots coaching to ensure more young talent starts coming through. Oh, and tell me this team would struggle in L1: GK: McGregor RB: Hutton LB: Fox CB: Caldwell CB: Mulgrew RM: Morrison LM: Phillips CM: Adam CM: Dorrans ST: Naismith ST: Rhodes That's a team that would comfortably finish mid-table in the Prem.
  7. Jesus christ, what an absolute c*nt. Good riddance.
  8. I think we'll line up something like this: --------------------GAZZA------------------ FRAZER----STEPHENS----SEABORNE----SHAW ----CHAPLOW-------CORK--------DAVIS----- ----PUNCH--------LAMBERT-------STEEEEVE- Although i'm probably completely wrong.
  9. I don't quite see the resemblance between Scissorhands and KJT...or am I missing something here?
  10. Huge actions to get this page removed from Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Controversial-Humor-Dead-Baby-Jokes/422912285264#!/pages/Controversial-Humor-Dead-Baby-Jokes/422912285264 What's your opinion on this? Stay or go? Personally I think it'd be a huge violation of freedom of speech if the page was taken down, especially as all the 'crusaders' who are trying to get it closed are sending death threats to people on the page and then taking the moral high ground because they haven't put up a joke. Obviously the jokes are tasteless and could be hurtful to certain people, but so could any joke. Is this an indicator of the morally outraged society that we live in nowadays?
  11. It's a quiet time for the transfer market in all tbh, many people involved with Prem clubs have been saying that recently.
  12. Ennis' team-mate Katarina Johnson-Thompson is a bit of alright too!
  13. I'd love one of the hoodies that you wear, the all white ones with just eye slits in them? EDIT: Next are doing those with the baggy white robe and flaming crucifix for £69.99, absolute bargain.
  14. Isn't Les Reed supposed to be the DOF as well? Surely one of the main responsibilities of his would be compiling lists of targets and offering footballing advice to NC? Isn't there some other bloke who was spoken about after we signed Clyne who's heavily involved in transfers? Matt something? (Not MLG before some wise-arse says that!) NC doesn't have to be there every step of the way, if he feels that the club can still compete in the transfer market without him there then fair play to him. He's not gone to f*cking Mars, i'm sure the bloke has a mobile phone if he's needed.
  15. I'm going to see what TK Maxx has to offer next week.
  16. I believe you mean £100 and £50. Thought that was a bit cheap!
  17. I can't believe I just read this whole thread.
  18. He worries defenders, got good pace and trickery and gets the energy of the crowd up which boosts the players. Plus he's versatile and can play up front if need be. He's changed games for us before when he's come on as a sub, providing a really direct outlet down the wing which we lack elsewhere in the squad. If we sign somebody who can do what SDR does better, then fair enough.
  19. I don't like the guy personally, he seems to have a bit of an attitude problem and his Twitter outburst p!ssed me off to no end, but by all accounts he's doing very well this pre-season and if Nigel thinks he'd be useful to the squad then there's no reason why he should leave. As was mentioned in his interview for SaintsPlayer the other day, he's one of the few players in our squad that has a bit of Premiership experience (although he played that down by saying he only played about 10 games with 2 different clubs), so that could come in useful when knowing how to play against certain clubs. Also we don't exactly have loads of wide options, so unless we sign a player or two in his position I can't see him going.
  20. From the YouTube compilation above his positioning and marking seem to be pretty good actually, although obviously it's a YouTube video so we can't take it as gospel!
  21. Me and my mate saw him outside SMS with his family about 3 days after he signed (we were there for the FA Youth Cup game). Spotted him coming out of the reception so I shouted "Tadanari!", he turned around and we did the purple archer celebration. Thought his face was going to split in two his grin was so huge! Then he got in a taxi and went away. The end.
  22. Well I think it was around then - I started posting on S4E around 2003 when I was about 12, site was pulled in 2006 (?).
  23. Can't really remember tbh mate, it was nearly 8 years ago! Haha. That does ring a bell though, was he involved in the big scrap at The Valley a while back?
