I served him when I was working as a waiter in Eastleigh last year. On that basis, I like him. However, that was the day before that appalling Leicester home defeat, and I did tell him to "stick it to them tomorrow!"... Obviously he doesn't care about us fans On a serious note, I do rate Fox. He seems to have added a bit more attacking play to his game recently, bursting into the box when Lallana holds the ball up wide in a similar way to how Harding attacks. For people talking about his marking as well, Zaha barely got a sniff at the Palace away game when Fox was marking him, I think he only got beaten once and that was when Zaha already had a yard on him, but then Fox came back to cover the cross. I struggle to think of any British left backs who would come to us and are better than him.

I voted in the general election, and also in the local elections last year. However nobody has persuaded me to vote for them this year, so why should I bother? Like Trousers said, voting just for the sake of voting is poor. Each vote cast should be a vote earned by politicians who have pretty much screwed over most people in my age bracket in the last few years anyway. Going to be a low turnout this year.

I'm not sure, Tom seems like a hard person to woo. Maybe i'd flash him my wristbands in a seductive manner and see if he goes for it.
-
Sounds like fun then

Anyone been? Going for 11 days in June. Ought to be a laugh!

I think it's pretty clear now that Tom is by far the best person in the process. He's really dreamy as well

There's nobody that I want to vote for at this moment in time. When that changes, I will cast my vote. Tories - Highly unlikeable, alienating. Labour - Leadership not convincing and more austere measures than Tories for the economy. Lib Dems - No explanation needed really. UKIP - One-trick ponies. Greens - Probably the party I would be most likely to vote for atm, but they lack strong characters and I don't agree with their policy on nuclear power.

If my parents were ever both out of the house for more than 20 minutes at night when my brothers and I were younger, they would always get a neighbour or babysitter to watch us. That carried on until I was around 14, at which point they allowed me to be responsible, knowing that our neighbours next door were there if we needed anything. Most parents would do the same, I certainly would as well. Obviously I feel sympathetic towards the McCanns, it's a horrible situation for anyone to be in. However, their daughter's disappearance was through their own fault. There were simple steps they could've taken to prevent this happening, which they failed to do. Both as qualified doctors, you would hope they had a little more sense than to leave their 3 very young children unattended in a hotel room while they went across the street to have dinner. I find now that my sympathy is starting to wane, purely on the basis that plenty of children go missing or are abducted every year, and I think the coverage of this case has been particularly disproportionate. I agree with the point that if they hadn't been a well-educated, professional couple that they wouldn't have had the access to such relentless media coverage. I respect that they are still endeavouring to find their daughter, but I resent that the media (particularly papers like The Express) are using this situation for financial gain, and have been doing so ever since Madeleine disappeared.

I don't think money comes into the equation too much tbh, it's more about finding the right player. Whether they're a free transfer or cost £5m, it's important that the player isn't defined by their transfer fee but by their performances on the pitch, their image off it and their contribution to the club and dressing room harmony. In some repects Andy Carroll has been defined by his transfer fee, and as a result he's got added pressure on him to justify what Liverpool paid for him. However, his replacement at Newcastle Demba Ba has also been defined by what Newcastle paid for him (zilch) in a sense, because people look at him and think "value for money" instead of "waste of money" like some do with Carroll. I don't think there's a culture at this club where players are judged on money though. Fair enough, people talk about Rickie and him costing £1m, but we've seen in the way that transfer business here is conducted (all behind the scenes, undisclosed transfer fees) that the management want our players to be judged about what they deliver on the pitch and in the dressing room. If we make any big money signings then i'm sure they will be treated just like somebody who comes here on a free.

I've taken the decision not to vote today. It'll be interesting to see how the results turn out though, especially in terms of gains for the smaller parties like UKIP, Greens, Respect etc.

Jonathan Ross put on Twitter earlier that a couple of Sun journos came to his door today to ask for his opinion on their front page when Roy got the job. Presumably so that they can get an "it was only a joke!" angle.

F*cking hell, please not Zat Knight. Much better players out there who would come to us. If we could get hold of 2 CBs in this window that would be great, meaning Martin could go out on loan to get some more experience. A first-choice right-footed CB (e.g. Curtis Davies) and a squad player left-footed CB (Danny Wilson).

I want Brum to go up as my mate is a Brum fan (he comes to Saints games with me and follows us as well), he's promised to take me to a Brum vs Villa game next year if they go up. Tasty. However, I think Blackpool will go up. Just got a feeling about them.
-
The good thing is also that he might clear out some of the players who haven't been performing in the last few years and get some younger, hungrier players in. I think we won't see the likes of Lampard/Ferdinand/Terry in the squad again after this tournament (probably sensible to keep them around now considering it's only 36 days until the tournament starts and you don't want unrest in the squad).
-
Personally I think he'll be a very good England manager. He's got nous and the experience at International level to know what to expect in a major tournament - something Ol' Twitchy doesn't have. People will be pleasantly surprised with him.

With a name like ITK Agent, probably not him. -
Sorry about that. I like it, but i'm biased as i'm a huge fan of Diplo, the Major Lazer alias stuff and also Dirty Projectors. Currently listening to the new album by The Cribs, on first listen I really like it. It's carrying on from that evolution that Jonny Marr brought to the band in terms of production and sound, but I think they've recaptured that anarchic element that made their first few albums so brilliant. That's pretty evident from the lead single "Come On, Be A No-One" and also from the galloping "Chi-Town". Give it a listen. The Cribs – In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull

Lee vs Derby (although I wasn't there to see it unfortunately!) Hammond vs Leeds Sharp vs P*mpey

Despite the heartache of the result, the celebrations after our goals vs P*mpey at SMS were amazing. Such a rush! Bet the Skates must've been ****ting themselves to see us all lunge (and in some cases, crowdsurf) our way closer to the barrier in Block 1! Still got the bruises on the backs of my knees from the seats hitting me as people fell down the rows of seats, and i've now got scars on my shins from falling over them myself!

When is Milan fashion week this year btw Turkish? -
Would be very unfortunate if he's had to retire - absolutely brilliant player imo. One of the best centre mids of the last decade in the Prem for me.

Craven Cottage. A few of my mates went up there last year when they played Wolves. And on the topic of the phone cover: a) Who gives a f*ck? and b) It does technically have red & white stripes on it! Misguided present? (My mum bought me a framed picture of Highbury for my 12th birthday, under the illusion that it was SMS as the seats were red! ) -

People can dress how they want tbh. I don't particularly like seeing people dressed up in costumes and wigs at games, but very often they'll be families having a day out with their kids and having a good time. And before Dune, Turkish or anyone else asks, I wear jeans, trainers, the 125 year shirt and a jacket to games. Objections? -

I get the feeling his chances will be very limited with us and there will be a few clubs after him. We may just loan him out again but I think he'll be tempted away. Didn't know that. Fair enough. Maths was never my strong suit.
