It's that time of the year again, and i'm on the lookout for a summer job so I can eat more than baked beans for the next 12 months! I've applied for a job with Home Fundraising, who canvass on behalf of half a dozen or so charities, and i've also applied to write some promotional material for a company in Winchester which ought to grub up a few pennies for me. Anyone got any tips for well-paid summer work aside from shops/bars etc? And to keep this thread going a bit longer, what was the best summer job you ever had? (Btw before anyone says, i've not finished for the summer yet, i've still got another 59 days before my term is over)

What a knob. Doesn't change the fact that he was f*cking brilliant in the 2nd half though.

To those saying that Lambert is too static up front - I have noticed this a lot more this season than last. Maybe he would work well playing just behind the front 2, as an 'Inside Forward'? Just a thought anyway.

"With Radhi injured for Saturday's vital clash against MK Dons, Nigel Adkins reacted quickly to snap up Jaidi's grandfather to fill in at CB."

Didn't see the game today but would like to see Stephens play against Charlton on Tuesday. He sounds like a composed playmaker, something that we lack when Schneiderlin isn't in the side. Stick him in alongside Hammond in the centre. Chaplow has done well for us but it sounds like his form is deteriorating and at this point we can't afford to have weak links in our team.

Great result to come back from 2-0 down, we're in a great position now to grab 2nd place from Hudders. COYR!

It's society's fault.

Their sole purpose is to wake me up at 8am when I only crawled into bed at 4am.

Read this in the Independent earlier, have to say I needed to read the first paragraph twice before I realised it was 1st April!

I've heard "We don't care about you, we don't care about you, we are Southampton, we don't care about you" sung at quite a few games recently. I think after it caught on at Bompey a few mongs thought it should be a regular.

I liked that film. "It's like it's some kind of.....hot tub time machine.....*looks dead at camera*"

Cracking video, shame I was about 2 when he was banging most of those in for us!

Don't stop there, send Jamie, Louise and all the others as well.

The Kamikaze pilots were brainwashed into their duties by propaganda and a reliance on nationalism. These people are going in to Fukushima to make sure that the job is done properly and to minimise the risk to the rest of Japan, and even the world. No brainwashing involved, just pure bravery and selflessness on their part, as well as the promise of a safe life for their family. They are heroes.

Imagine the field day the Mail would have with that!

Don't know of many other 17 year olds who are key players in their team, that speaks volumes really. He's quick, strong, good with a ball at his feet and can put in a good cross at speed. How much he can improve though, not sure. Obviously he's going to get a lot better in the future, but Walcott is a great player on his day. Come back in 3 years and we might have a better answer for you.

Thanks babe, I can always count on you to make me feel better about the person I am.

I don't support England whatever the occasion, being raised by a Scottish father doesn't give you much leeway when it comes to International sport...

My Aunt has been made redundant from 2 jobs in the last 10 years and she's not been anywhere close to getting £50k severance. It's no secret either that ex-Service people are sought after for management jobs as well - living near an RAF base at home a lot of my mates' parents are/were in the RAF and most of them transferred pretty easily into cushty management jobs when they left the force. It's not rocket science, if you're being offered that kind of package you should take it, whatever job you're in.
-
Hi Turkish baby, good to see you're back to old tricks. I missed you. xxx

Take the £50k and f*ck off to Guatemala with it. Seriously though, most people wouldn't get anywhere near that amount for voluntary redundancy, so it's probably something to consider. I'm sure your 12 years experience in the Navy will make you very marketable to companies, particularly in management. It's all about discipline baby.
