  1. If Cameron had a speech impediment, would you take the p*ss out of him? EM can't really help how he speaks, and that's not what he should be judged on.
  2. Their new stadium is great - it's not going to be a problem for them. If they've sold 15k STs for next year already, they'll probably sell a few thousand more between now and the start of the next season. Then you've got between 1-3k away fans for every game in the NPC, plus however many home fans who don't have STs. They're probably going to be averaging at least 20k in a 22k capacity stadium, and if they start doing well in the league above then they could well be pushing for sell-outs for big games. Even my mate who's at Sussex Uni (he's a Yeovil fan) has already got his ST for next year.
  3. Go on then - what are your personal experiences? I've never done anything more than grass, but after listening to American comedians Doug Stanhope (the guy in my avatar) and Joe Rogan (host of US Fear Factor) talk about it, my goal within the next 10 years is to get some DMT. Watch the video below for an explanation about it (NSFW - some swearing):
  4. What a p*sstake.
  5. It's all about proportion though - voter turnout was higher last year than in 2005 (65.1% compared to 61.4%). More people also wanted Nick Clegg and Gordon Brown as PM as well, because more people voted.
  6. Depends on his moves in the summer and our position in the league by christmas. I don't think we'll be in L1 next season though, for some reason i'm quite positive about promotion!
  7. You definitely get fizzy burps from drinking too much soft drink, never had fizzy sick. I had a night out a few weeks back drinking only cider + black, my sick was vivid purple. It was funneh.
  8. Had this conversation with NorthamSteve and Dickyhale on the way to Charlton in midweek - I don't think he'll be sacked if we don't get promotion. Going on statements by both Cortese and Adkins they have a good working relationship and similar ambitions. Plus, you could also say that Adkins hasn't had that much of a chance to build his own squad here - it's much harder to buy in January than it is in the summer as players are bedded in to teams and clubs are more reluctant to let their higher performers go. I think he'd be given until December 2011 to be in an automatic promotion place, and if not then he'd probably be off.
  9. Well, fair enough. You've proved your point (whatever that was). They're not obliged to express their opinions on Saints, they almost certainly read the main board every day. We've got hundreds of users a day that don't post on the main board but are active. There are posters like you and me with 4000-odd posts who post on the main board every day, then there are some with about 10 or 12 who just read the board every day, then there are those who have lots of posts but spend most of their time on other parts of the forum. My teeth are sore from biting now.
  10. The apparel of c*nts. I make it my duty to give an evil scowl to anyone I see wearing them.
  11. Well both of the posters that you referred to in the OP post regularly on the main board, but they're also omnipresent on The Lounge as well. Obviously the original motivation for signing up was discussion of Saints, but it's easy to get side-tracked. I'd say my time is split 50-50 between Main Board and Lounge.
  12. I'm definitely not a dieter, I just prefer the taste of Diet Coke. And yes, it is bad for you. Apparently the sweeteners used in Diet Coke are carcinogenic to an extent.
  13. I have tried it in the past, but I don't really like Coca Cola. Diet Coke tastes nicer.
  14. If you watch PMQ's, Cameron never has an answer to Miliband's questions. He's not a particularly inspiring leader (I would've much preferred Andy Burnham), but he's a sensible and intelligent politician. Something we need right now!
  15. I'm just going to go down to Co-Op to get some Diet Coke and some cheese. Maybe even some bread too.
  16. They spelled your name wrong.
  17. I've had pizza from Pizzazz before, it's okay. I prefer a Chicken Doner from Unikebab (right next to Pizzazz), and they deliver free to students within a mile of the shop. Go me!
  18. Or maybe Labour spent more to encourage economic growth - as in the US at the moment. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/b39b937a-56e2-11e0-9c5c-00144feab49a.html#axzz1Htz8OhOU The US economy is growing again rapidly, that's because Obama isn't making huge cuts like the coalition at the moment (although some cuts will be implemented in the next few years), but spending wisely and investing in the right places to encourage economic growth. It shows what a sensible spending plan can do, because even though prices are going up in the US for things like oil and food, their economy is still growing by between 2-5% quarter on quarter, whereas ours is growing by less than 1%.
  19. This isn't purely a football forum, threads on here span a wide range of topics. My gran could sign up on here and rack up 2000 posts in a year, and she barely knows what football is. You don't have to post on the main board of a forum to be a Saints fan.
  20. Telegraph in Anti-Labour story shocker. FFS.

    Hmmm...

Tbf, the Withdean has had small away followings because there's no capacity to cater to them. If you had the room, i'm sure we'd take between 3-4k for our game at your place coming up in a few weeks. It's a shame really, because with a few thousand travelling Saints fans it'd really be a cracking atmosphere, but i'm sure our 900 will do their best to out-sing you all!

    Hmmm...

    Seagull, go to bed mate!
  23. Barnard's not making any mistakes and scoring goals Jaidi has been very good this season, but Barnard is more integral to the team imho.
  24. Our team is pretty strong, although we don't know what our ambitions would be next season if we were to gain promotion this year. As a newly promoted side, would we aim to secure our place in the Championship in our first season and then aim for promotion in the second, or would we want to shoot on through by going for promotion in our first season? If we were to be promoted, we could feasibly keep most of our squad in the Championship, but there are some players who won't be able to make the grade at a higher level and would need to be replaced. We should probably let go: Forecast - Not good enough for me, being sent back from Eastbourne and Grimsby says something really. Mills - If we get a bid from Donny, we should take it. He's 3rd choice here and it's not fair for him as he is good enough. Seaborne - If we get a bid in. Having a left-footed CB is a great option, but I still don't think he's good enough. He has improved, but we can't have any weak links. Jaidi - He's been immense this season, but he's getting on and his contract is up. Maybe give him a PAYP deal, as on his day he's still Champ quality. Puncheon - Can't see him coming back at all, and he's playing well in the Prem. Make a nice profit from him and move on. Holmes - I still rate him very much, but his injury record speaks for itself. Hopefully he can find his fitness and get regular first-team football elsewhere. Connolly - He's getting on, he's always injured and he's hardly featured at all this season. Sorry David, you've been a great pro but it's time to go. Which means we probably need to sign: GK x1 RB/LB x1 CB x2 RM/LM x2 ST x1
