Cardiff Fan Falls Out The Top Tier At Millwall
SuperMikey replied to The Cat's topic in General Sports
Football League show says.. His name is Ryan Oliver, he's conscious in a stable condition in hospital with 2 broken ribs. -
Would've thought they'd need the gate money...

Just been on a bit of a book binge and ordered: One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest - Ken Kesey A Clockworth Orange - Anthony Burgess Lord of the Flies - William Golding The Communist Manifesto - Karl Marx Nineteen Eighty-Four - George Orwell The Perfect Fool - Stewart Lee Ordered them off Amazon, all of them together (inc. delivery) came to £28.49. Bargain!

Dodgy in that we couldn't string together more than 2 passes and hoofed quite a lot - Adkins commented on that. 2nd half we got the ball down and passed it comfortably, and that led to us scoring our goals.

I thought it would be effective as the start of next season..

aap3 logo on the sponsor board behind Nigel when he did his post-match interview. Sponsorship effective as of now?

Excellent win after a dodgy first-half. Just put Primal Scream's "Movin' On Up" on my iPod!

Bridge has had Lennon in his pocket all day, not a peep on the right from Spurs.

Yeah, the referee told him to go and change on around 10 minutes, he was off the pitch for a minute changing and then the ref didn't let him back on the pitch for a good few minutes after.

Big points at stake here for both teams, not a clue how Spurs aren't a few goals up by now, they've been all over West Ham at the back! Refereeing controversy earlier on in the match when Gareth Bale was sent off the pitch to change his undershorts (which weren't the same colour as the overshorts) and wasn't allowed back on for a few minutes after he had changed. 0-0 HT

I suspect this would be satisfactory:

Doesn't mean he's a P'boro fan though. Peterborough being not too far outside London, I would suggest that he's probably a Man Utd fan.

The matey that's organising it came into my place of work while I was working and gave me some posters to put up - he said he's had all kinds of trouble organising it and has had to be very specific about what he can offer and what he can advertise the festival as. However, he said that the city council have been quite co-operative in helping him, so I would expect it to go ahead. There's a special student tariff for this event of £29.99 as well. Oh, and there will be women in lederhosen as well apparently.

Barnard is the kind of player you need at this level, he works very hard, scores goals and wins free-kicks in very useful positions for us to build attacks from set-pieces. Rickie and Guly are much more link-up players because they're both converted midfielders. Without Connolly fully available, we lack a spearhead for attacks like Barnard is. That should be a priority in the summer as well, we need a young, quick striker who scores goals and can replace an ageing Connolly. It would rely on promotion (and probably a rather hefty bid), but Nicky Maynard from Bristol City would be excellent.

See Sheff Wed have signed Rob Jones from Scunny on loan - CHDAJFU?

Jesus christ, it's only a ferking sponsor! What matters most next season is how the team play on the pitch, not how they look in their shirts with the sponsor's logo on it.

I have tried to contact Boots about it, but again they were very reluctant. Oh well.

They gave me my P60 at the end of the tax year and the total of tax paid on the slip was £0.00. The money definitely didn't get paid into my account and neither HMRC or Boots have any official record (bar my pay-slips) of me ever paying tax on my earnings. Normally I wouldn't be so p!ssed off but I took on extra shifts before christmas to earn a bit of money to enjoy myself over the holiday season and then every single penny that I earned through those shifts was taxed away from me, so I never saw any of the money. My yearly earnings were around £1300, quite a considerable amount under the taxable threshold.. I have been on the blower about this to them before but they sounded very uninterested and distant (not hard to blame them if you're working for HMRC) and didn't offer me any solutions to my problem. You would think they almost wanted to keep my money...

Is this yeas league 1 weaker or stronger than last season..?
SuperMikey replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
Definitely weaker this year. The teams that went up last year were very strong (Norwich currently 2nd in the Champ, Leeds sitting comfortably in the top half and Millwall are doing okay too), and then they had teams like Huddersfield, Charlton, Saints and Swindon very close behind them, any of whom could have easily gone up. I don't really feel that quality is there this year. Brighton and Huddersfield have definitely improved as teams, but I think last season's Leeds team would tonk any of Peterborough, Bournemouth, MK Dons, probably even us. -
