What a result! 2nd in the league, team gelling well and playing successful attacking football, what more could we want for a start to 2011?

Terrible attitude and very inconsistent. Never passes, crossing is woeful at times. Don't even get me started on his shooting. There are far better players out there, and teams will be clamouring to get him while he's in-form. Cash it in and use the money to sign Graham Carey from Celtic.

Punch scores a hat-trick...crikey.

By about 2am there were roughly 25 people left in Jaxx. Poor showing. Decent night though.

Leave it and pass it off as a fashion statement.

Last year I also went to a club, the 4 years before that I was at house parties.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-12097984 Auckland and Sydney celebrate the New Year. Have to say, I think Fleet even might have better fireworks than Auckland did!

Pulis, he'll come into his own in the next few years. Mark my words!

NYE is always sh!t, but meh. I'm going clubbing in Fleet, home to only one club which is always packed, boiling hot and very expensive. Just means i'll have to get trashed before I get to the club...

Updated the OP with some more gigs for the first few months of the New Year. If you're in a band, or know a good band that are playing in Soton, feel free to post on this thread to give us some more info about it. Of the new gigs on the list, I really recommend going to see Yuck, The Duke Spirit and Reel Big Fish. 3 quite different bands, but they are all excellent live and well worth seeing. Happy gigging!

I like to keep an eye on the Scottish leagues, there are a few players currently playing there who could be tempted to move to us. Leigh Griffiths - Dundee Dundee are financially in the sh!t, and he could be a steal as Dundee are desperate to offload some of their players for cash moves. Leigh is a pacy and skillful striker, much like a younger David Connolly (although he's not in the treatment room so often). He's only 19, so has lots of time to grow into a quality player and Adkins would be a good mentor, not to mention DC showing him a few tricks for a player such as himself. David Templeton - Hearts Has been tentatively linked to moves to higher-Championship and lower-Prem clubs, but he'd benefit more from a bit more time at a lower level before moving onto the big stage. He's a very pacy winger, very tricky. Highly rated by the staff at Hearts but they probably won't be able to keep him as his head will inevitably be turned by some wealthy suitors. Would be a very good investment because he has big potential. David Wotherspoon - Hibernian Young attacking midfielder, tipped as a future Scotland star but being played out of position (he's being played at right back). Could be tempted by the bright lights of the Premiership within a few years.

S_S, you seem to be forgetting that BWP is dogsh!te. He may have scored a few at this level, but we're building a team for the Championship and he was absolutely gash for us at that level. There are far better out there.

Joe Mason - Winger/Striker, young and highly rated Kari Arnason - Centre Mid/Centre Back, strong and talented. Icelandic international.

Neither do I actually, got a bit confused about that. As Andy says, using the wrong scale.

McIntyre is the unfunniest c*nt ever to have walked the face of the planet. 1.5m DVD sales, HOW THE F*CK DID THAT HAPPEN!? I'd like to say that Russell Brand isn't very funny as a stand-up, but his radio shows were very funny. My favourite stand-ups are Bill Bailey and Stewart Lee.

Doesn't really make Hitler any less right-wing though...

Not necessarily, but he's being used as an impact sub at Blackpool, and if here were to be used in a similar role in L1 he would excel. I don't think anyone is guaranteed a berth in the starting XI in our squad.
