Think if I did that more than once i'd just stop playing! Been resting it all day, meant to be out for a mate's 18th in town right now but instead i'm in bed playing Football Manager It's not as bad as last time, but I think there might be some muscle/ligament damage because that area is very sore and tender. Getting it checked out on Monday because the surgery can't be arsed to open at weekends

Congrats on that one mate, ACL is a nasty f*cker. Take it easy, because if you do it again then that's you royally f*cked.
  3. It's extremely efficient compared to a lot of other energy sources such as solar, wind and tide, but still not as efficient as it could be.

  5. Very true, Norway has a tiny population and more rural areas than over here. FWIW, I believe it's useful to have some renewable energy going, i'm all for an off-shore wind farm in the North Sea or a hydroelectric dam between Cardiff and Bristol (plans were drawn up and submitted for one with a bridge going across the top, not heard anything more on the subject since), but we're never really going to be reliant on renewable energy unless we find a new method which powers more than nuclear, which is the sensible option at the moment. The next government, be it minority, coalition, whatever, needs to address our dwindling fossil fuel stocks (and reliance) and see that nuclear is good, and as the Conservatives look to be in the driving seat at the moment, there's a good chance we'll see more nuclear power stations popping up. Nuclear is not only efficient, powerful and mostly clean, it's also extremely low on CO2. France is something like 80% nuclear powered, and it's among the lowest CO2 emitters in the world. The giant wind turbine on the motorway just outside Reading actually uses 5% more power to turn than it generates. Farcical really.
  6. Fantastic signing if true, he's been brilliant for Brighton this season and would certainly solve our RB problem seeing as Murty is never fit, James seems to be off and Otsemobor doesn't seem to be quite up to scratch. He's a good attacking fullback who is solid defensively.
  7. Brentford v Hartlepool - DRAW Brighton v Yeovil - DRAW Colchester v Leyton Orient - COLCHESTER Exeter v Huddersfield - HUDDERSFIELD Leeds v Bristol Rovers - LEEDS Millwall v Swindon - MILLWALL Norwich v Carlisle - NORWICH Oldham v Charlton - DRAW Southampton v Southend - SAINTS Stockport v Tranmere - TRANMERE Walsall v MK Dons - DRAW Wycombe v Gillingham - GILLINGHAM Only 2/12 at HT Did put another smaller accy on with a 68p stake, doing slightly better in that, 2/7!
  8. Yeah, thanks! :smt043
  9. One of the few Lib Dem policies which I don't agree with, nuclear power is simply the only way forward. It's many times more efficient and powerful than the likes of wind and solar power, and the only drawback that I can think of is the waste, but with a bit more research and funding there's definitely a solution out there. Until then, I think burying it in a lead-lined glass case 60ft underground is a pretty safe bet.

  11. But Spurs have spent the second highest amount on transfers this season after Man City. I could walk into the Spurs job, and sign some players I know are good, doesn't take much. Redknapp isn't a great man manager in the way that Hodgson is. Hodgson has taken a team of mediochre Premiership players (with a few exceptions, Hangeland for example) and turned them into European Cup finalists. Not too bad if you ask me. On the other hand, Spurs have got a team that were hovering around 5th/6th before Redknapp came in, made a few new signings and they've got 4th. Not that hard considering Villa and Liverpool have been sh!t this year, Everton don't have the quality to mount a CL challenge and Man City aren't settled as a unit, so they won't get anywhere fast. Redknapp is overrated as a manager, everyone seems to think he's the second f*cking coming or something!

Well, it went straight back in after coming out, but it has swollen up considerably and I can't really walk on it very well, probably won't be able to walk on it in the morning. Meant to be going out clubbing for a mate's 18th tomorrow, don't think that's happening somehow I'll go and see the doc about it tomorrow, because it's ridiculous now. I have the knees of a 300 year old.

Happened again today Did it playing football this time, and managed to twist my ankle in the process as well. Fanf*ckingtastic.
  14. Disgrace, Hodgson was the only choice imo. Arry has done well, but he's also spent a f*ckload of money, something which Fulham have not done. My pet dog could take Spurs into Europe with that team..
  15. My weird crush is Kate Nash. Not sure what it is about her, but I do get a bit woozy when I see her on the telly!
  16. Oh f*ck this, i'm going to bed. See you at 6.30am for a quick check up on how things turned out.
  17. Keep it until Christmas to see how things develop, and take it from there imo.
  18. Aye, a while to go yet but the swing is very much in favour of the Tories at the moment. Still think that we'll get a LibLab coalition though, press coming from Brown saying he wants to form a coalition, and I guess if he's desperate he'll agree to the terms that Clegg and co. will set down (PR being the main one). Odd to see so many people being turned away from the polling stations, was 14 hours not enough for them to vote in? :smt043
  19. Why put Taylor in over Davis/Jones?
  20. I think the sovereignty (sp) offers the party who last held power the chance to form a government first. Don't quote me on that though.
  21. Don't think Lib Dems will make a loss, even if the exit poll suggests otherwise. Can't see a Conservative majority either, it's still got to be a hung parliament for me.
  22. How did you play Barnard? I've tried him in a number of roles, Poacher, Trequartista, Advanced Forward, and none of them have suited him and he's on a big barren spell at the moment. Connolly doesn't really score that many either, but he does chip in with a lot of assists and plays well off Lambert (who's scored 14 in 14). Oh, and tip for anyone, play Dickoh as Limited Defender>Stopper, and Fonte alongside him as Ball Playing Defender>Cover and you will never concede a goal without a mistake being made. Only ever conceded 1 goal when Dickoh's played, he is an absolute beast.
  23. Stanley, are you mentally ill or something? You're just spouting gibberish when people are actually making sensible arguments against comments and statements you made and also those of the party you (used to) support. I replied to your comment at the top of the page which you ignored, now you're ignoring IamLeGod as well because we're both making sensible points, but all you can be arsed to do is talk about ice-cream. Either start talking sense and answer questions posed to you or just don't bother posting on this thread, because there's really no point of you posting on this thread and board otherwise.
