Tbf, I don't think Labour have done too badly. Perhaps we could've spent a little less and come out of the recession looking slightly less battered and bruised, but there's no arguing that the average quality of life in the UK now is far better now than 13 years ago. I seriously have my doubts that given 13 years, the Conservatives could improve the country like Labour have.

Spitting in a candidate's face is unacceptable, but so is landing a f*cking haymaker on a group of voters while you're being recorded by a news crew. Bob was obviously harking back to his NF days there, shame he didn't have his bovver boots on when he was punching and kicking a young lad on the floor for something as trivial as getting spat on. They're stupid for thinking that there wasn't going to be violence in an area as ethnically diverse as there, unbelievable. Glastonbury and Saturday at Reading (just to see The Libertines and Arcade Fire, Reading is an absolutely sh!te festival). Was thinking about perhaps going to GuilFest but there's not many bands on the lineup worth paying £100 for imo, that money could just be spent getting completely smashed at Glasto and Reading! Think i'll definitely do a few of the smaller festivals next year though, probably do some stewarding as well, good summer work. Any suggestions? Bear in mind i'm 18 and male, so a Real Ale fest with a Rod Stewart cover band won't be my bag really.

That video is absolutely despicable, if you're a canvassing politician you're supposed to be an example to your consituency, not picking fights with passing people. Fair enough he was intimidated and spat on, but who threw the first punch? If he was a better man he would've accepted the spitting, got other people to move them on instead of getting involved himself (presumably there was security/bouncers there, it's the BNP ffs). Would be interested to see the full footage to see what happened just before that clip.

Even if he's limited to reserve team football and the odd sub cameo at Stoke, I can't see him dropping down to L1 to play second fiddle to Rickie. However, Beatts and Rickie up front with Connolly/Barnard/Lallana sparking off them would rip this league up completely. MAKE IT HAPPEN PARDS!
