  1. Observe and Report This is the Seth Rogen equivalent of Jim Carrey's 'The Cable Guy'. It's had very mixed reviews, but I really liked it. Although it has it's moments, it's not an out and out comedy, more of a drama with a comedy edge. I think people didn't like it when it came out in the cinema because they thought "Oh, it's a Seth Rogen film. It's obviously going to contain lots of smoking weed and knob jokes", and were surprised when the film actually tried to deal with topics above your average frat-boy movie. Seth plays Ronnie Barnhardt, a small-town security guard at the local Mall. My take on Seth's character is that he personifies the American nation. He's obsessed with guns and is slightly retarded. He's not got any solid backing in life except for his alcoholic mother and his motley crew of security guards, and seems completely driven by being the hero and saving the day. He longs to be with the bicycle-like Brandy, a slaggy girl who works at the make-up counter in the Mall, but she doesn't know who he is, not for want of trying. I think the film has been wrongly marketed, ala Funny People, and as such people don't appreciate it for what it is. I have to say though, i'm not sure i'd like the film as much if Seth wasn't in it. The dialogue is amusing, but it's the characters that bring it to life. While Rogen is rather like the proverbial Marmite, I am yet to see a film that I don't like him in, or didn't enjoy. As well as being a very funny person and good comedic actor, he is also capable of writing hilarious yet also intelligent screenplays, having a big part in writing blockbuster Superbad a few years ago and also having penned the film adaptation of the Green Hornet, which he's also starring in. Long live the king! 7/10
  2. Basically, no.
  3. Leyton Orient pull 1 back, can they score 3 more in injury time to get me some money?
  4. Ah, thanks for the info. Wasn't sure as it's not a weekend match. Still a must-win game though if we've got any chance of getting the play-offs. Here's hoping! Got some money coming in off a Newcastle win anyway, so it's all gravy.
  5. I'm hoping for a late Leyton Orient comeback, which, at this moment in time, would net me just over £2300.
  6. Dozens of laps of boredom. Tried to get into it many times, never worked. I'm seriously considering writing to the F1 chiefs to get them to install rear-end machine guns onto the cars for next season, and introduce a rear-gunner. Instead of teams having 2 drivers in 2 cars, they have 1 car with 1 driver and 1 gunner. Now THAT would be interesting. Basically, I want a real-life version of 'Death Race' starring Jason Statham.
  7. Torrenting or Direct Download? I've never had any issues with Pirate Bay, although you've got to watch yourself on there nowadays with viruses and such.
  8. If we win our game in hand (Leyton Orient on monday?), then we're within touching distance of 8th, especially considering our goal difference is +29, MK Dons' GD is -1 and Bristol Rovers' is -2. It then really comes down to how well Huddersfield and Colchester play, as well as Charlton dropping points. If Leeds keep playing the way they are, I can see them being caught up in the fight as well, although at the moment they're looking reasonably assured of their play-off place. I think it'll finish something like this: 1] Norwich........................92pts 2] Millwall.........................86pts ------------------ 3] Swindon.......................85pts 4] Leeds..........................79pts 5] Huddersfield..................77pts 6] Charlton.......................77pts ------------------ 7] Colchester....................75pts 8] SAINTS........................69pts 9] Bristol Rovers................69pts 10] MK Dons.....................67pts
  9. Fair point, but if this thing goes to court then i'm fairly sure that the judge would order him to get some kind of support...
  10. Basingstoke is better by a country mile, and that's saying something. Which night is student night in Winchester? Not been there before, got to try mediochrity (sp?) at least once I always say...
  11. Had heard rumblings about this, but I dismissed them at the time. Very sad to hear about this, lets hope this acts as a wake up call and spurs Claus on to get some support.
  12. AVG 8.0 and SuperAntiSpyware haven't let me down yet. Had Norton before as well, came with a 6 month free trial with my laptop. Uninstalled it after about 2 weeks as it just took an age to load and was actually pretty ineffective against finding infections.
  13. My accy lost already yesterday as Millwall drew and Norwich lost, so i've gone for a L1 special to use up my last few quid as i'm trying to cut down on the betting (it adds up ya know!) Leeds vs SWINDON MK Dons VS Charlton Wycombe vs HUDDERSFIELD Southend VS Yeovil LEYTON ORIENT vs Hartlepool OLDHAM vs Gillingham Stockport VS Walsall £2 stake, £2384.93 return Would be nice if that happened
  14. Update: had a sh!t about 20 minutes ago. Panic over.

  16. You're on!
  17. I think Haye is overrated tbh, and Ruiz is one of the best in the world. Ruiz to KO Haye in the fourth for me, and I won't be held responsible if this happens!
  18. Labour - 57% Greens - 55% Lib Dems - 54% Flip those round the other way and that's how I actually stand for this election.

  20. What he said. More effort than it's worth tbh.
  21. Jaxx in Fleet. Don't recommend it mate... Ahh, shush!
  22. Doddisalegend mentioned Patrick Kisnorbo above - I think that's a cracking shout. He's a very solid and reliable centre back who could be a brilliant player for us while Seabourne is finding his feet. If Leeds don't go up this season (which is looking more likely now as they're falling away from the automatic promotion slots), some players will be looking away to somewhere where they can get promoted. I would say that we're first call at port in that respect. I think we have a good squad, although there are some players for whom I cannot see a future here. We need to start by sweeping clean the reserves of players who aren't good enough, so that involves bye-bye's for Pulis, Forecast, Molyneux and Lancashire. Then we need to take a look at some of the older players at the club, such as Perry, Jaidi, Murty and Connolly. I reckon these three could all still DAJFU, but we need to be realistic: are these players who can play regularly for us over the next few seasons? I'm not sure that Murty will ever play again, which is a shame as he looked quality in our first few games. Connolly I think we should keep on a pay-as-you-play, because he can be a very good role model for some of the younger players at the club, such as Jamie White, who reminds me of DC at times. Jaidi I think can do a job for another season at least, although we do need to be actively looking for replacements. Perry is a tricky one, as he's proved that he can still do the business when called upon, but he really is getting on now. Soon enough, his legs will be gone completely, and Jaidi and Fonte aren't exactly the most mobile of centre backs either. Personally, i'm of the opinion that we should let him go, as Pardew seems to put Seabourne ahead of him anyway, and we have Martin coming through the ranks too. Then, the first team. While players such as Wotton, Otsemobor, Holmes and Thomas are good squad players at this level, I have my doubts about whether they can live up to expectations in the CCC. Remember, if we go up next season (or even this season), we will be challenging for a top half space in our first season, and promotion in our second. Wotton has hardly got many fans at this level, I dread to think how he'd be a level above. Personally, I think we should keep these players until we leave L1, then we can start re-evaluating our first team and picking out players who aren't good enough. I think the positions that need strengthening most have got to be RB, CB and CM. We need a pacy RB who is also solid defensively, and I have my doubts about Otsemobor sometimes, as did the Norwich fans. I think a good shout would be Kerrea Gilbert from Arsenal, or if the money's right, somebody like Danny Simpson on loan from Man Utd for the season. For CB, we need someone with a bit of pace on them, as we lack that at the moment. With Jaidi and Perry in their mid-30's, they won't be playing for much longer, so we also need to be looking at some more options. I love the idea of Patrick Kisnorbo coming here, he's someone who I suggested at the start of the season, as he was on a free transfer. That would need to be taken into account before we throw money at Leeds. Another player who I like is Carlisle's Peter Murphy. He didn't have the best of games in the JPT final (he was the one who gave away the penalty), but he did show glimpses of what he can do. He's a very good organiser and could DAJFU in the CCC imo. Another good option would be Andy Webster from Rangers, who's not wanted there and is very solid, and has Prem experience. I think we're suited and booted mostly in CM with Hammond and Schneiderlin being our first choice pairing, but beyond them we have problems. I don't rate Gillett, Wotton and James very highly, and Puncheon and Lallana are too lightweight to be effective there. Some good options would be Gylfi Sigurdsson from Reading (as mentioned by somebody else previously in this thread), Lewis McGugan from Nottingham Forest and Nicky Bailey from Charlton. Any of these three players could improve our squad vastly, any I don't think that any of them are beyond us. But regardless of the squad next season, I know that we have a fantastic manager in charge, a fantastic chairman and 'executive director' backing him, and fantastic fans to cheer the lads on at every game! COYR!
  23. F*ck me, queued for 2 hours last night to get into possibly the sh!ttest club in the world. I then proceeded to drink copious amounts of booze on an empty stomach and nearly chunder the contents of my stomach across the floor. Then, when we were queueing to leave (!), I also decided I really needed a sh!t, so spent the next 30 minutes furiously clenching my arse cheeks together. We then witnessed my old PE teacher shouting at people because they looked a little like his mates but they weren't them. EDIT: No sign of that sh!t so far, i'll keep you all updated.
