  1. Tricky one:
  2. New announcement today! http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/news/west-holts-stage-and-line-up-announced West Holts (aka JazzWorld) lineup announced, looks quite good to me! Mos Def, Devendra Banhart, George Clinton, The Bees, Tunng... I've never actually watched a band at the JazzWorld stage, but I could be spending a lot of time there this year!
  3. Gazump Chelski...never heard of him. Is he Ukrainian or something? We can suggest all the right backs that we can think of, but ultimately it's Pardew and his team who will make the decision. We just have to hope that it's the right one.
  4. Recorded this the other night, just watched it now. Have to say, i'm quite impressed. This is the 'difficult second album', and the team behind this really set the bar high with BoB. It's certainly started off a lot quicker than BoB did, although I think I preferred the way that BoB threw us in with the military context at the training camp rather than give background on their home lives ala The Pacific. I have no doubts that the series will improve though, and i'm looking forward to the next episode already!
  5. There was a thread on this earlier. It was closed.
  6. WillyHilly offering 45/1 on bets for Arsenal to win over 90 minutes. Not bad if they do pull themselves together.
  7. That sounds well worth £30, Zane Lowe is an excellent DJ. The Futureheads are very good live as well. Not seen Athlete or Grandmaster Flash, but I reckon they'd both be good as well. Go for it Grandad!
  8. On a side note, Messi is tearing Arsenal a new asshole. First half hat-trick! 3-1 after 43 minutes.
  9. Didn't he sign a 5 year deal last year?
  10. I think it's more of a trial run, considering that Semi has had mixed reviews pretty much everywhere he's been. Good move by the management staff, although I still hope that we do sign a RB in the window.
  11. Got a triple on for Wednesday: Serbia WIN (vs Japan) Man Utd DRAW (vs Bayern Munich) Lyon WIN (vs Bordeaux) Taken a tip from my mate, who only ever does 10p bets, but wins regularly. My stake is £0.33p and my returns equal about £15..not bad!
  12. I want us to sign their player Donker. Just so we can have a player called Donker in our squad.
  13. Anyone been before? Going with a group of 25 mates next week and was wondering what the centre is like.
  14. Thanks for the tips, i'll check out Bedford Place, and perhaps pop into Buddha for some fanny.
  15. We do trade with everyone! It's you who's saying that we should concentrate on trading with countries who are already pretty well catered for with their geographical and economical neighbours... The EU is a far better option because it's closer to us, which means reduced shipping costs. Different countries offer different products and demands for goods, and we already have prominent trading links with these countries. The commonwealth countries are on the other side of the world, which means higher shipping costs and slower trading. They're already trading well enough with their versions of the EU. I'm sure they're doing just fine without us.
  16. Yeah, 3 or 4 of my friends have had this recently. I'm not sure that this particular hacker is after your money, more spamming people and getting them to click on the links in the emails. Turn your firewall up to an 11 and close that mutha'f*cka down if you keep sending out spam.
  17. Obvious troll is obvious. Imo the sooner that the American military decreases it's presence in the Middle-East, the better. I know that it's not possible, as they're the glue holding things together really at the moment, but they're also the ones who seem to be causing a lot of the tensions out there with things such as this. You don't see many extremists burning Italian or British flags...
  18. Saw an opinion poll yesterday after GB announced the date of the election (6th May), and it surprised me a bit. Can't remember the exact percentages, but it was definitely something along the lines of Conservatives 37% Labour 33% Liberal Democrats 19% I would've thought that the Lib Dems would have cracked 20% by now, which is a shame. People can't seem to look past the two main parties. It's a political f*cking see-saw in this country. EDIT: Changed the stats, got the Lib Dem stat wrong.
  19. I'm fairly sure that Canada don't mind as they can trade with the USA, South America and the Caribbean. I'm fairly sure that Australia and New Zealand don't mind either, as they can trade with basically the entire southern part of Asia, as well as the sticky-out parts of Russia. None of their trading markets are based purely on our trade, and neither is ours. They're our 'bit on the side', if you will. Our modern market IS the EU. The commonwealth countries make up a minority of our trading now, and they're fine with that, as they have other markets too. Can't remember the last time I switched on the TV and saw Canadians walking around with no shoes on because nobody's trading the materials with them.
  20. Imo it'll be P'boro, Scunny and Plymouth, as already said by numerous people on this thread. None of those teams should pose a huge threat to us, although we can't be complacent. The CCC will be strong with those teams gone, can't think of many more weak teams (disregarding financial irregularities) apart from Blackpool and Doncaster, but they're both having great seasons.
  21. Hey, if Norway and Switzerland can get rid of their moral standards, good for them. I'd prefer to live in a country that was doing ok for itself and helped other countries rather than one that was doing great but did f*ck all for anyone else. Mind you, the third world debt is stupid, it really just needs to be wiped out in order for these countries to develop. On average, if a third world country recieves £1 in aid or welfare, they'll have to pay £4 back in debt repayments. Vicious circle. Nobody's really doing that well financially at the moment, surely it makes sense to just stop charging the ridiculous repayments and let the countries develop so that we can all benefit.
  22. Well, we have a higher population I guess. Switzerland does have a higher GDP on average, and many of the world's richest businesses operate out of there, and bank with swiss banks. I'd disagree with London being the hub of the financial world though, although I can see that Geneva isn't really the epicentre either. You can see the point I was trying to get across.
