Jon Otsemobor signed on 6 month contract
SuperMikey replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
He's an attacking full back, not really a defender. I suppose we'd always have Jaidi/Fonte/Whoever else is at CB to cover for him if he gets caught out. This is the advantage of having a strong backline, you can allow the more creative attacking players to express themselves. -

Great signing imo, just the kind of player we need at RB. He's bloody quick as well. Now we just need to wrap up some kind of attacking signing over the next week or so and I shall be extremely happy with this window. -
My money's on Ward still. All went quiet on the front, but Pards seems really keen on him, he's not getting a game at Cov, Coleman wants him out...

FM 2010 hints, tips, cheats & gems of players / tactics
SuperMikey replied to SO16_Saint's topic in Computer Games
I think you'll find i'm the resident tactics guru... What do you need help with? Attacking formation? Defensive? How to set your team out? Mentality? -
Thought we should've signed him earlier in the season tbh, he could've given us the extra dimension up front that we lacked before we had Connolly. He'd be quality in L1, never scored a huge amount of goals but we have Lambert to do that for us! He'd be great foil for Big Lambo up front, and I think we'd be mad to pass him up imo. Some of those goals are pretty good, seems as if he likes the ol' turn and shot.

RS made a good point about teams in league positions in the interview, he said something along the lines of "if we should've beaten Sc*nthorpe because we're above them in the league, why aren't Chelsea beating everybody?". League position isn't everything, and that's what the journo was trying to attribute their results to. He also made the point about Leeds beating Man Utd in the FA Cup (which was a bloody good point), yet all the journo could come up with in reply was "that's a cup competition". I wouldn't say that Savage was moaning about all the fans, he was just saying that the negativity doesn't really help the team to go out and perform better, which you can understand. You saw how demoralised our lads looked on the pitch last year when boos were ringing around the stadium as another pass went astray or we missed a chance. Teams suffer dips in form, and Derby are going through theirs at the moment. Teams like Sc*nthorpe are going to teams like Derby who are considered relatively big teams in the CCC but are suffering from a lack of motivation and going out there to win 3 points.

Yes, but he did report it on the radio with thousands of people listening. The Daily Echo gets lauded on this forum for doing exactly the same thing, or at least something very similar. The journo was sh!t stirring, and obviously RS had had enough, and I don't blame him.

We have a Weimeraner, and we got him castrated almost as soon as we got him. He didn't like it at first, but I think it's the right decision to make. It calms the dog down a lot, which makes for an easier life indoors and also stops the dreaded leg humping. Go for it imo.

I'd probably play 2 or 3 minutes in my first game and get my leg broken or something like that. Recently started playing 5 a side with some of my mates and i've never been so knackered in my life afterwards. Maybe it's because i'm such a fat bastard

Don't know what he had for breakfast, presumably an infected spinal column in a bap. CLASSIC QUEEN!

The journo reminded me of Alan Partridge for the first 6 or 7 minutes until he started to stand up for himself.

Heroes Season 4 Stopped watching Heroes midway through Season 3, because it just seemed to disappear up its own arse with pretentiousness, but this season has restored my faith. The writing is much better (Villains, the first part of Season 3 was awful) and the characters are much more likeable too (especially Robert Knepper as Samuel, who although you know is obviously evil, you can't help but like him a little bit). We've only just got Episode 1 over here last week (it's on iPlayer), but it's been airing in America since September, and the episodes are available at http://www.cucirca.com/2007/05/27/watch-heroes-online/. I recommend that you take a look!

I certainly wouldn't mind having Nathan Dyer back here. Always thought he had more to offer, and it seems some of that is emerging now at Swansea. He's the type of player we've been missing, we need a spark and some energy in the team. While Papa Waigo has that, we're not sure how much longer we'll have him around. It's something we have to look at in order to improve the team.

Pussy clart!

Safe to say I don't remember that, but i'll take your word for it!

I think I should go to a physio as well, I was surprised that the doc thought everything was okay with the knee. I think there's a bloke who lives not far from me who does physio, so I might get in contact with him about it.

I posted this on another thread, and I think this could potentially be a really effective formation. ----------Davis------------- James--Jaidi--Fonte--Harding --------Hammond----------- -----Morgan--Danns--------- Waigo----------------Lallana ----------Lambert-----------

Update (because I know you were all so concerned) Doctor was bloody useless, just told me to keep off it and keep taking Ibuprofen, which is what I was doing anyway. 20 minute walk through 5 inches of snow to hear what I already knew... The knee is actually sorer today than it was yesterday, and it's swollen up more which is affecting my walk. While I could walk relatively normally with a slight limp yesterday, now I can barely put much weight on my right leg at all. But hey, i'll do what the doctor says and if things don't improve i'll go back.

Just drop a couple of tabs and turn up in your underwear with a sombrero on.

Lallana at LWB is an interesting thought, but i'd find it hard to believe that Pardew would drop Harding. Also, i'm not sure that 5-3-2 is Pardew's formation, I think that's too conservative for him. The way I see it, 4-5-1 is our defensive formation and 4-4-2 is our attacking formation. Seems to have worked alright so far!
