Pete gets a lot of unneccesary press - there's tonnes of musicians shooting smack every day that go unannounced. Think it's unfair that he's got this awful image when he seems like a decent and talented bloke who's been dragged down by his addiction.

I don't get the hubbub about veils - if the Bible was re-issued with an added bit saying all Christians had to wear hessian sacks over their heads, would there be uproar about wanting to ban hessian sacks? Although I don't really like the religious connotations of wearing the veil, I know several Muslim women and none of them have a problem with it. If they don't want to wear it, then they don't wear it - unless they're married to some kind of nutter who makes them. Ultimately I think it's a personal choice based on a religious belief, and any "security risks" are more likely a projection of paranoia by our Western culture.

Any ideas on why Lallana keeps getting subbed off around the hour mark? His stamina doesn't seem to be an issue, because we've seen him play 90 minutes every week for some years now. Is it that Pochettino doesn't rate him? Or does he see him as expendable in a tactical switch-up?

He stopped everything Bazza. Agree about the game lacking quality though, it was pretty dire at times. They were so compact at the back that we couldn't break them down. They came for the point, they got it.

Jaaskelainen was awesome, West Ham were absolute dogsh!te and so were we. Jay Rod's first touch is absolutely appalling at the best of times, and I wouldn't have played him today in those conditions. Really lacked a killer ball in the final third.

I bite the bullet and drink at the Kingsland. Some of us make sacrifices so the decent pubs don't get too crowded.

Alfred's been closed for a while now, so if you want to try something different then grab a couple of bottles of white lightning, climb over the wall round the back and squat in the doorway swigging cider. Alternatively, the Frog & Parrot is alright.

Talked it through with my parents, and we agreed to re-evaluate at the end of the academic year. When I got the results through I immediately made up my mind.

I dropped out having failed my second year, which would have meant having to retake the year plus and then do my third year - all for a sh!t degree. It was making me miserable putting in all the work, hours of reading, staying up all night writing essays and not seeing my family or friends for weeks on end only to get 41%. Don't think i'm cut out for academic study, although i'm thinking of doing an OU course once i've got myself a decent job that I could make a career of. Made the right choice for me at the time, and I don't regret it.

I don't particularly think scraping low thirds in an Anthropology degree could be described as grace. I'm much happier even working at One Stop than I was studying at Uni.

I hate my job as it is, and it's damn stressful too. Thing is, I will be earning twice as much money in this new job and i'm more suited to this kind of work. But hey, if I hate it after 6 months then I can always get back on the market..
