That £12m will take into account his young age, his international pedigree (albeit for a smaller nation), the fact that he plays in Britain (which seems to add £4/5m for some reason), the fact that Celtic don't really want to sell and also the fact that he's a very highly rated prospect in European football. I don't really think that the league a player plays in makes a lot of difference when it comes to price, especially for Celtic as they're relatively wealthy due to their forays into Europe. When we were in League One and there were teams sniffing around Alex Chamberlain, would you have felt insulted if he'd signed for a club for £2m instead of £12m purely because of the league we were in? Fact is that talent costs - wherever they play.

I don't really get why you feel so strongly about Scottish Football, it's no worse than a lot of European leagues. Don't get me wrong, it's a long way off the major leagues (England, France, Spain, Germany etc), but it's miles ahead of the Irish and Welsh leagues for example, which have still produced some pretty decent players over the years.

I refuse to watch the World War Z film - I love the book so much that I think I would just be disappointed. I'm pretending that the film has nothing to do with the book, although to be honest I don't need to pretend that hard because they changed the whole f*cking plot!

LOL at half of the posters on that thread being banned. Seems as if Mr Bad Boy has deleted his Facebook. I remember it got hacked not long ago by somebody who put up a message pretending to be his mum, saying that he'd been killed in a car accident. F*cking harsh and his mum went absolutely spare over it, although it was quite funny to watch from a distance.

I think world-class defenders are such a valuable commodity though, they're who you build your team around. Man Utd with Ferdinand, Chelsea with Terry, Barcelona with Puyol, Real with Pepe - having that quality at the back is more important than having a world-class striker imo. Goals tend to inflate transfer values far too much imo. Players like Grant Holt, Danny Graham and even Rickie have shown you don't need that pedigree to score goals at the top level. Can't remember the last time a defender made the step up from the lower leagues to become a real quality player at the top. Think we'd be better off keeping Shaw and building our team around him, however good Lukaku is.

Sunday night there's nobody scheduled for the headline slot, it's not really a "special guest" slot - more an unannounced act. People seem to think it might be Franz Ferdinand. I think there might be one or two slots that haven't been allocated for anyone yet on the Other Stage early on in the day (11ish), so that might be where some special guests are appearing this year. Absolutely buzzing now, just done my clashfinder for this year too. Friday looks pretty hectic (Swim Deep, Half Moon Run, Peace, Local Natives, Palma Violets, Foals, Crystal Castles, Rustie), Saturday a lot more chilled out (Dry The River, Toy, Elvis Costello, Primal Scream, Rolling Stones) and Sunday very chilled out indeed (First Aid Kit, Vampire Weekend, Phoenix and a few mid-afternoon DJ sets on the Sonic stage).

Think Mourinho wants Lukaku involved in the first team at Chelski next season, frankly i'm not surprised by that. One of the stand-out performers in the league last season.

This is how I would envisage the team with Wanyama in it. Wanyama and Cork sitting deeper than in the picture, Schneiderlin just ahead of them. Jay and Adam playing slightly narrower to make sure that Rickie isn't isolated up top.

It's not as drastic as that though is it? Yes, it's a red shirt with white bits, and yes it's not really a Saints kit, but it's hardly a Cardiff style rebrand is it? We've not always played in red and white stripes and i'm sure we'll return to them at some point. If you're really that concerned then I suggest some kind of eco-warrior mission to the Adidas HQ.

Don't mind the design on the left, but the one on the right just looks like a botched Arsenal/Liverpool hybrid kit. Tbf red and white stripes are what symbolises our club, but while Stoke and Sunderland are in this division it pains me to say that I don't think we'll be able to get away with having them on our shirts.

I think Wanyama has the quality of a midfield marshal that we miss sometimes, very physical and a big presence to have. Would be a valuable asset to have - especially in games against teams that like to control the middle of the park. He's not just a big guy though, he's an accomplished ball-winner and knows his game. Don't get me wrong, I think Banega would also be an excellent signing, but I think Wanyama is a different type of centre mid that would allow us different tactical options.

Fantastic actor, rightly fawned over after The Sopranos. Had a bit of a reputation for lashing out at people but he was heavily papped and was a family man who liked his privacy.
