I was in the car behind when this happened, and called the ambulance while my wife (a nurse luckily) attended to the lad. First things first, the lad should be ok - he had a suspected broken leg and had cut his nose when he hit the deck but the traffic was doing about 30 and he was clipped by the wing mirror. Once the police and ambulance arrived they told us to leave so we did. As the the road being closed, basically he ran out between the stationary cars approaching the bridge without realising the traffic was moving the other way. The driver of the other car couldn't do anything about it and can't be at fault. He was on the crossing but the lights were green. If the road was shut then yeah, he wouldn't have been hit but he wouldn't have been hit if he'd have been paying attention either (his dad, who was livid, said he had form for this as well). Key thing is that he looked like he'd be ok.

4 more going now, taking my kids to their first games - a bit worried about my son during the minutes silence as he's only 4 and doesn't take orders (like his dad) - concourse for me then.

I think HMRC are clutching at straws a bit to be honest and they seem to have changed their argument recently as well (or maybe clarified it). I think Lampitt being in charge will make a big difference and that HMRC will lose today.

A cracking pub for sure, but the BB shades it for me.

naf all bar wise really. Black Boy is a great pub which attracts all sorts. The Pitcher and Piano and The Bishop on the Bridge are the closest to bars I think you'll find. Club wise, there's the Porterhouse (****e) and what used to be called Moloko's (also ****e)

The Black Rat does good food and you can then retire to The Black Boy, Winch's best pub. The French place opposite the museum is outstanding as well

Some of the communication aspects of Lowe, but tied to *actual* business acumen, a brilliant ability to deliver on promises and a steely determination to succeed. He is the anti-Lowe or maybe, to use a biblical analogy, Lowe is the anti-Cortese - Lowe being the thick one that got kicked out ;-)

stag weekend in London so this is a result for me

I think it is. Having said that, he fully expects HMRC to challenge the CVA in court which means more deductions I think. Personally, I couldn't give a **** anymore as we clearly have better prospects and will be above them in 3 seasons at most, but I'll be amused if they start on -20 or whatever.

When was the last time we won our first game of the season

1-0 vs Coventry away I think. Egil. Can't be arsed to look it up either but I was at that one and I seem to remember it being the last time. Amusingly, it was our first first game win in about 14 years as well. -

I'd PM you but I'm too tight arsed to pay a fiver :-) Jim Herbert (btw, working on a pass for the weekend) -

I played it that Cybersaints team with you Minty and frankly I'm gutted that you're now a vet. I'm nearly 40 now of course so... -
If this happens I'll eat my own bogeys

Even Dalek would have to admit that Hoddle loves himself. I think he saw Le Tiss as a threat to his mental stance that he (Hoddle) is the best footballer that ever existed. Worst bit about the England B game was Ray Wilkins on Sky "Les Ferdinand could have scored all those goals". Bog-eye, short, bald little git

A - their leader is a mentalist

Keith Allan is your man for football songs - World in Motion and the post modern genius of Vindaloo. Euro 96 3 Lions is probably number 1 in that top 3 - I was living in Paris at the time and convinced we would win. Watching England in an ex-pat bar in a big foreign City is amazing.

Annoyingly my company wrote the software that controls the signs on the M25 near the A3 and I actually could have done this. and got sued obviously...

A fantastic press release and hopefully he won't get booed by ****s when he appears on the big screens next May when we get presented the league 1 trophy

gebumst. :-) like it. I'm off to Munich in June (unless Bjork ruins it again) and I'll try and work it into conversation :-)

Lowe just to get on well with Charlie Sale at the Daily Hate so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the source of this stuff. Either way though, I'll be gutted to lose him as it'll show that nothing has changed with us and he's done IMHO a great job (from October onwards), but we can't do anything about it. If Cortese does sack him, I hope he replaces him with an ex Rugby coach and 2 Dutch nobodies - that's a sure fire recipe for success....

As my grandmother was French and my great great granddad Black (though I get sunburned under streetlamps), am I allowed to celebrate St George's Day?
