We should remember they beat City last round and are no mugs and conditions are bad. That being said we are utter s***e. Tadic a passenger, Carillo absolute garbage (summed up by his unmarked defensive header from the Boufal cross), Lemina non-existent, Stephens, Hoedt and Cedric look scared. Boufal looks dangerous the few times he has the ball, Hoj doing OK but, as others have said, the managers only tell half the story. We have a very, very poor squad and whatever happens at the end of a season a mass clear out is required. I cannot believe for the life of me we paid 19 million for Carillo....seriously 1.9 million and we would have been mugged! Hughes has an absolutely thankless task and a big, big job ahead of him

F**k me.....Mark f****** HUghes. We lurch from one terrible appointment to another. Hughes would be nothing short of a major disaster for our club. Horrible man, horrible tactics and I can never forgive him after he 'played' for Saints under Dave Jones and was the biggest mercenary and Billy Big ****** to play for Saints. No redeeming features in him as a manager and he stuffed both QPR and Stoke. If he is appointed we are completely stuffed as a club and don;t think for one moment any of our youth players or flair players will ever get a chance under this dinosaur.

True - but eminently avoidable. Pellegrino's track record showed NOTHING in his past to justify anyone thinking he would be forward thinking and attacking. IN fact, the total opposite. IT has been clear since the Wolves game at the start of the season that he is miles out of his depth. IT is pretty unanimous amongst pundits, fans, pretty much everyone that he is hopeless. It;s now too late, IMO, for his firing to make any difference. Should have been fired months ago

Tadic should not even be close to starting. He sums up our disgrace of a season.....more often than not this season its been like playing with 10 men yet this t**t still seems to start every game.

Garbage Board, garbage manager, garbage team. Dread to think what ST sales will be like next year. 2 years of utter garbage at home.....why would anyone pay for the very expensive STs to be forced to sat through this garbage week in week out Relegation beckons..................................

We are down. Period. Can't beat an awful Stoke side with a completely cautious opening lineup and our fixtures will shortly get much harder. Only bright thing I can think of is that Sims, Gallagher, Stephens, Targett, Hesketh, McQueen will all have a big role to play in the Championship. This manager, and Board, need to be fired now

Bertrand - been terrible (both full backs have been). Swansea now 3 up....oh, to play attacking football. Sims been a rare bright spot in a terrible game.

Bravo Pellegrino you utter c**t. Stoke make an attacking sub, you do nothing. Utter disgrace and should have been fired months ago. Sims showing that being direct and energetic brings chances unlike the ponderous crap from the rest of the team

Monaco mugged us for Carillo - can't see what he brings to the team at all (to be fair he is, like all our strikers, totally isolated). Certainly not a goal threat.

What has happened to Cedric.......he has been terrible. Mind you, except Lemina and Sims same could be said of most of the rest of the team.

Hoedt has been a very poor signing....overall we look awful: absolutely terrible with a non-striker, the invisible Tadic and the absolutely atrocious Cedric. A must win game and we play the same cautious, defence first crap with an isolated striker getting next to no service.

First 10 minutes - utter garbage. Slow, ponderous, sideway/backwards and no end product. We also look vulnerable on the break. Pellegrino really is a terrible manager

None of the above are good enough. Period. Utterly gutless performance yet again with baffling team selections. Yet still this f&&&&&&g clueless Board will support the even more clueless Pellegrino. Utter garbage and what a f&&&&& waste of money Carillo was. Yet again the clueless Board supporting the clueless manager. We are simply not good enough to stay up - and we will not. Only light at the end of the tunnel is that Pellegrino will be gone and hopefully most of the Board too. Then maybe Gallagher, Reed, Hesketh, SIms, etc. might get a chance next season. Having said that we equalize, which means the clown will stay and screw us over even more!

Hojberg on the bench? Really? Redmond starting? Really?

Really? - last year (same as this year) we have struggled to score goals. Our only real goal scorer seems to be permanently injured. Without a real goalscoring threat we are always going to be struggling to score goals. Not giving the manager a free pass on this - think he is completely useless - but it is not just the manager. We have failed in our recruitment for attacking players for the last 2-3 years and we are suffering a lot because of this. So on that basis, while the team is underperforming as the sum of its parts, I don't think we are 7th or 8th best squad in the League. In fact I think we have a pretty mediocre squad that is unbalanced, and like our relegation season, not as good as we think they are.

For gawds sake - we are in the QFs of the Cup. This season has been terrible but at least enjoy todays win - we are 2 games away from a Cup Final. Some of you need to get a bit of perspective on life.....there is far more to it than Saints for sure.

Is he a defensive manager - dunno, but he is a totally s***e manager who should never have been let near our club. Gross dereliction of duty by our Board this time round, compounded by the fact that they have not acted once the magnitude of their mistake became apparent months ago.
