Now rated as a 5-star thread. I would say "I'm touched" but the neanderthals will start posting their subliminal message comments again! -

Inappropriate use of technology. Adding words to original post. Infringement. -

Are you all having fun? Some kind of wind up? I assure you 100% hetero, 0% gay. What, a guy can't enjoy ballet in case you adjudge him soft? :-) -

FYI - straight, married, 2 kids. -
I won't say : guess who I just saw, cos I just told you in the headline. :-) Had to pop into town earlier. For Winchester residents, chapter and verse, exact co-ordinates being - outside FatFace and River Island in the High St ... I look up and to my left walking up is Sir Alan Pardew (well, one day he will be!) I was so shocked I didn't react quickly enough. By the time I'd swivelled on my heels, done a 180, and set off to shake his hand, he was gone. I thought "where would a well-to-do football manager whose team is on the up go?" Thought maybe phone shop to get his SIM unlocked? Nah. Coffee shop? Tried Cafe Nero and Starbucks - not there. Tried Wilds Sports top of town - not there. He slipped away, readers, but I have to say he looked slim and taller than I thought him to be. Mind you, i usually sit in the Chapel or the Kingsland, so anyone looks small from afar, even Simon Gillett. :-) Anyway, if any of Mr Pardew's "people" read this, I wanted to shake his hand and say "thank you for coming to the club, you - along with Mr Cortese and Mr Leibherr - have brought us a sense of pride in our club again, and we look forward to the next few years with a confidence we haven't had in recent years." I had the speech in my head but couldn't find Mr Pardew to deliver the speech. After my last post, one of you replied "oh what a drama queen!" but this is a drama, sorry - Alan Pardew comes to sleepy ol' Winchester. This is the most exciting event since King Arthur's round table!

Le Tiss offers his services to England
the saint in winchester replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
I was driving on Friday, and had Talksport on the radio. Mike Parry and Andy Townsend were on. Parry was saying quite vehemently that England should get Le Tiss on board as penalty coach. Looks like he may get his way. Parry will be unbearably smug if it happens .. but then he always is. :-) -
Sky to go bust and the armchair fans to return.

To what "off field issues" do you allude?
-
Because we're only 2 points off relegation zone. When it's the other way around - 9 points from relegation place, 2 points from playoff place, then I'll get excited. Emotion management :-)

Byfield: I expect Saints to go up

http://www.contactmusic.com/photos.nsf/main/jamelia_3_wenn946446 http://www.beverleyknight.com/photos/gallery.html Britain's finest soul singers of the female gender, m'lud. I submit these as Exhibit A and Exhibit B. (Although Jamelia page suggests she has split from the Byfield. Just come to SMS anyway, sweetpea. :-) ) -

Well, I would like that, but I was hoping I could persuade her to get a season ticket next to me. That would sure put a smile on my face. If I could get Beverley Knight the other side of me ... heaven. -
Well, yes, true - 9 points off playoff places, but also 2 points off relegation places. It is SOOOO tight in this league. The margins of success from failure are negligible. Brilliant win today, but we need to follow up with another win next Saturday vs Tranny.

"For some odd I reason I follow Darren Byfield" - sorry, i still can't bolden type ... For me that reason is that he is Jamelia's other half. What other reason matters? It's reason enough. She's a babe. -
yes, Tranmere scored ... news to follow
-
we've just gone up another place - to 17th. Leyton Orient now losing ... haha
-
Worryingly ... you probably can - it would be seen as self-defence! :-)

Actually, Sue, if you read back on the other thread, it was I telling other posters off for their sexist remarks. I agree it's out of place ... but GBH seems to have been downgraded.

To Canada Saint - to answer your question, these days a sexist remark is worse than assault in the street. It is, here in the UK, these days.
