Pardew seen having enjoyable lunch with mystery blonde, who apparently could be his wife! Oh heck, if the Echo get hold of this, who knows where this could go. This is like Have I Got News For You ... except no Ian Hislop or Paul Merton in this one. :-)

I'm serious. 20 year rolling contract. Apparently he's the bionic man and will play until he's 47. -
We heard you the first time! It doesn't get any more credible by keep repeating it! :-)
-
We don't want to know! We shall engage in no speculation or gossip or negative thinking, just like that nice Mr Cortese asked us. He's a nice man, a very nice man. :-)

Gary McSheffrey today released by Birmingham. HCDAJFU? Also Gregory Vignal and Frank Quedrue, but we're covered at LB. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11694_6152235,00.html -
That's true, too.
-
That's true. NC is obviously reading the speculation articles, or he wouldn't have gone off like an Icelandic volcano. Just don't read them, NC, I don't.
-
Pardew's position is confirmed; he and NC have reviewed the first team squad; AP will have a green light to recruit to those positions he and NC identified. Daily Echo links are not credible and are outdated.
-
I've never bought The Daily Echo and am not inclined to do so either. However, I still think the best way to handle any dispute is with tact and diplomacy, not statements of outrage and disdain. Why can't NC host the Echo editors and chief writers and build bridges, rather than refuse to deal with them? What's so funny about peace, love and understanding?

What improvements would you like to see

I agree. Or, I'm happy to share a ST with the bloke who wants to play footie on Saturdays and wants to go to midweek games only. -

SSN says Connolly goal. Who scored? -
Who says he is leaving? I heard a contract extension will be offered. I must be one of the precious few that I have seen him on the pitch ( I won't say 'seen him play' ) as he was pretty anonymous that night I watched the Reserves at Staplewood. Still, next season could be important for him.

our bankruptcy last year...

I was reading the free paper Metro on the train on the way in this morning. They claim creditors meeting yesterday resulted in an agreement for a CVA. Chainrai and small creditors to be paid in full, major creditors to take 20p in the pound, payable over 5 years. Link here : http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/824958-portsmouth-reach-cva-deal-with-creditors-at-debt-level-hits-138m Is this reliable? Should we be pleased for the blue end? -

OK, let you off. :-) Sounds like you might have to give them your ticket as well, if Tote don't produce. Now that, sir, would impress me much! :-) -

Totesport will be glad to know the tickets are going to such a happy recipient ... not. Never mind selling them, why not walk over to West Quay and give them a kid in a Saints shirt and his mum/dad. There's more happiness in giving than there is in receiving. (Acts 20:35) -

Since I contribute there and here, I resent (or is resemble?) that remark. Latest name is Gary Hooper (S****horpe). Word on the street is he had a medical last night. Keep schtum. Official announcement to follow .... -
Daily Mail: "Pardew faces Saints axe"
the saint in winchester replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Agree the first part - if he is going to sack AP, then do it next week, so a new manager has time to work on the squad and build relationships, NOT a week before the new season starts. Can't agree the second part - I'll sulk. As fans we have to let NC know we're not happy with AP losing his job, so I suggest we bombard NC with e-mails of protest if it happens. -

How come Lambert on and off again inside 12 mins? Injury? -
Well, you win the prize for the only post to make me laugh out loud in the office. Hey, getting the old chap out, haven't we all done that at one time or another? (rhetorical question, unless anyone has a story to tell)
