Looking to Exchange 2 Tickets! (genuine)
the saint in winchester replied to the saint in winchester's topic in The Saints
I meant GENUINE enquiry, genuine offer, not "posting this for a larff." Anyone? Please? I'll buy you a beer - although not at Wembley, with their prices. :-) -
Hi guys. I have 2 tickets in block 531. Looking to exchange for 2 at lower level, as I am scared of heights. I have 2 x £24 tickets. Ideally swap at same value. Would accept tickets at £34 and give you cash with tickets. Either 2 adult, or 1 adult + 1 concession (junior). HAVE TICKETS IN HAND. Looking to exchange over the weekend or early in the week. thanks TSIW

Yeah, all tickets to be sent out from 15th March. Doesn't seem a very efficient way to use time, but that;s their prerogative!

Official: 44,000 tickets for Wembley then...

Then I can't tell the difference between the two yellow colours. Orange and yellow, you say?? They both look yellow to me. Am I colour-blind? Am I talking to myself? :-( -
That's the point. AP has said our market activity is over.

I think in Pardew's mind, Puncheon is that midfielder .. -
John Bostock - midfield dynamo

SNJoe and Sun - can't you flamin' read? He was played out of position, that's why he was sent back, not because of a suspect attitude. Oi vay. -
John Bostock - midfield dynamo
the saint in winchester replied to the saint in winchester's topic in The Saints
Mate, they played him out of position. Sounds like an Andrew Surman type, and he was better in CM than LM. I think we should make an approach to use him in CM. If at the end of the season he was no good there either, then we can send him back. What's to lose. -
Guys, another name to put in the frame - John Bostock, ex-Crystal Palace, now owned by Tottingham. Listening to Talksport on the way home tonight, there seems to be a bru-hou-ha (however that should be spelt) over this lad. Regular readers will recall he was a hot property at Crystal Palace, such that Spurs nipped in before other premiership heavyweights and bought him. Not sure on timing, specifically whether 'Arry was the manager that hired him or not; I suspect not, as 'Arry sent him off to Brentford on loan as he was nowhere ready for the Prem (in 'Arry's view). Anyway, he's come back off loan with Brentford, with his stock lowered. Allegedly Brentford have sent him back with a note saying they don't rate him. 'Arry is giving him the silent treatment as he feels Bostock hasn't applied himself. So Micky Hazzard then came on Talksport to have his say. He was, and is, Palace youth development supremo, and he is singing his praises. Says he's a brilliant lad, very gifted, but that [/b]Brentford insisted on playing him as a left winger, which he isn't. Here's the rub : Hazzard says he is a playmaker, left footed maybe, but a central midfielder who makes things happen, gets everyone else playing to their potential. I listened to this and thought 'hey, now there's another option'. If we don't get Stock or Danns, he's a player we can get definitely on loan, maybe even on a perm deal. 'Arry is apparently going to freeze him out as he blames the player; Brentford sent him back. How about we nip in. Young player, plenty of pazazz. He was a rising star 18 months ago; right now he's out in the cold. (sorry if anyone else has written on this - i couldn't see a thread on it)

Saints vs Pompey!! - Reaction Thread
the saint in winchester replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Me too. Watched it live on ITV, hoping we would come out with a home game. As the balls were disappearing, the probability of a match v Pompey increased. When it's was down to 2 balls left, screamed out to my son to 'get up here' we're gonna get Pompey'. Delighted we got called first! Home game. I think - finally - we're ready for them. All teasing, joking and name-calling aside, until a month ago, they would still have hammered us. Now ... I think we now have a team that can compete with a Prem side. We've trained, we've buffed up, we've improved the side, we're ready for the auld enemy. Bring it on. This could go either way, and I'm happy with that. -

Excuse my ignorance - or not being in on the joke - but who are we calling Semi? I'm thinking semi-detached homes = Holmes? Fill me in. -

Flippin 'eck. I punched the air when Lambo scored, went to tell the lad we had won it in injury time, back within 30 secs, and SS had it as 1-1!!! Nooooo! -

Well, we seem to be signing someone every day this week, so let's see what Friday holds! -
Gerrard and Rooney were mentioned as possible signings. Seriously! Cousin and brother of the famous ones, sadly. :-(
-
He's NOT in the starting lineup OR on the bench tonight. Starting to look more likely.

Speak for yourself. I was delirious. I still am ... but I'm on medication for it. :-)

Not sure why you're quoting my post? I'm certainly not obsessed, just interested. Was just saying that we shouldn't be going onto other boards and stirring up the regular posters. I agree - not the end of the world if we don't get him, but he would be a good addition. IMO.
