Bournemouth League Cup **Ticket Details Announced**
the saint in winchester replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I noticed that too. For this game, it would be 16 plus 10 = 26, whereas I can buy a pair in the Family Area for 25, normally. What happened to kids for a quid/fiver, and all that, -
Can I just say that I like the new layout? It seems an improvement to me, and I am normally 'resistant to change'. Good work, Steve and Baj.

How Long will Davis be our First Choice Goalie?
the saint in winchester replied to John B's topic in The Saints
Pleased to hear Bart will sign on again. He's done well and I'd be happy to see him get more games. -
This is both interesting and of concern to me. I can't believe Dickson will be a better LB than Harding was. I don't buy this "best LB in L1" business. I didn't see Dickson last season, but Harding was top notch. Yes, I'm sure this was all agreed before Dicko signed; at this stage we're speculating. Harding could be the one to move to LM - he has played there for previous employers. To accommodate them both, I'd play Dicko at LB, a diamond in midfield, with Harding on the left and Lallana at the apex behind the two strikers. This assumes we play 4-4-2. Sure, if we move to 4-5-1 then (from the left) I would go Harding-Lallana-x-x-x. At this stage, we don't know what AP plans, but I sure as hell hope Harding stays!
-
Fair enough. 4th choice for LB, after Harding, Dickson and Mills, so reasonable he should be given the chance to move his career forward elsewhere. I would expect others will be released on terms. Fully confident AP/NC know the positions we need to strengthen and will have identified targets to pursue. I gotta feeling ... woo hoo.

What are the chances we'll get H to Bournemouth, being as we have them after the first Saturday anyway? 1 in 43, or something, I guess?

There was a button "Translate This Page" so I clicked it, like you do! The headline indicates he WOULD return to Southampton, the text says he won't. Confusing or what? Fiorentina ag.Papa Waigo: "I will return to Southampton" Constantine Nicoletti, attorney Waigo Pope confirms the fact that his client would not return to England. The agent of the exterior offensive Senegal, reached exclusively by Firenzeviola, answers questions about the intentions of Fiorentina and Genoa, co-owner of his card: "I exclude a return to Southampton. Genoa and Fiorentina are still discussing it - said Nicoletti - and the player could fall in any negotiation for Donadel. In case of repurchase by Fiorentina, although there are some requests from two Italian clubs and two foreign, could also stay in Florence, especially when starting Comotto. But everything will be decided when the director Corvino will once again be in Florence and will be the position of the player, is the cheapest of which I spoke. "

Definitely Rory Fallon, the sod who ruined Pahars' ankle in pre-season after Marian had fought back from injury. If we could turn back time ....

Sure, it's a business opportunity for them. They were able to buy high value assets at a knock-down price. The business plan is get us back to the Premiership, with associated revenues, within 5 years. Then the value of the Club, with its assets and revenue stream, will be significant. At that point, I would expect them to consider their options, and they may chose to sell to another investor. And fair enough, they will have taken us back to the Promised Land, and if the costs of investment over the 5 years plus the initial capital outlay (in year 0) is less than the resale value, meaning they have made a profit, good luck to them - they will have deserved it. What impresses me, and makes me believe they are in it for the long-term, is the redevelopment of Staplewood and the proposed infrastructure improvements at St Mary's. If they were mercenary, they would minimise expenditure and maximise revenues, and - instalment plan issue aside - they haven't given any indication they will hike season ticket prices to the max. Yes, Leibherr is largely anonymous, and Cortese is very driven and a bit abrasive, but I'd rather have this setup than that at - say, Liverpool, ManYoo, West Ham etc. I honestly believe we're in safe hands.

If he were fit, yes good backup. But .... out injured, having surgery ... maybe not. They need to be fit and ready to play. No passengers or walking wounded this season. -
Crossed my mind too, but I assume he's been on mega-bucks with Chelski. OK, who else is available?
-
I'm not. Until I read it on the OS, this is just speculation.

The other thread is hilarious! Check it out.

Coming soon to the Club Shop : air from St Mary's stadium. This is genuine air, possibly breathed by Saints players and staff. Available now in airtight containers. :-)

New Kit 2010/2011 - It's coming soon
the saint in winchester replied to Dr Who?'s topic in The Saints
I don't want to be disrespectful, but I'm not remotely interested in the kit, as long as it keeps our identity as red n white (preferably stripes). However, I do think any new signings will be unveiled in the new kit, so for that reason - and that reason only - I'm IN and want to see the new kit, then the new signings modeling the new kit ... if you get my drift. -
Good for you, fella. You win, definitely. I like that we're turning back the clock and defying people's stereotypes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yeah, we do. Sam Argent. A dedicated RB, not a make-do and mend type. I would sign Calderon (hopefully we will get confirmation very soon) and then Argent and Murty could make it as well.

Yeah, but you might get one of the 'couple of sorts', to quote our friend up above. :-)
