Loan period to open.. Do we have a deal lined up?
Saints foreva replied to Saint 76er's topic in The Saints
Just seen that Walsall have signed Emmanuel Ledesma till the end of the season, CHADAGJFU? Most probably better than Forte.... -
The difference between Southampton and Brighton...

Anyone who thinks our squad talent is head over shoulders above every other team in the league is seriously deluded and a bit mental. -
Bournemouth trying to get Simon Cox on loan.....
Saints foreva replied to georgeweahscousin's topic in The Saints
That would be a quality signing for AFCB if they got him, would be very disappointed if we didn't try and sign him if he is available. His record at this level suggests he is better than Forte, N'Guessan, Guly and Connolly. -

"If Brighton can keep up with us" Seems like we're the ones who need to keep up with them Adkins. Brighton are a far better team with better manager than Saints. -

Guly sounded awful - again. Bet he doesn't get dropped for Swindon though. . . . -
Going by their home form that's going to be very tough. People keep saying about our games in hand, they mean nothing at the moment. It would be typical Southampton to go and disappoint in those three games...
-
We're going to struggle to get into the top two now imo...

He will be back when they beat us. Saints + St. Mary's + Sky Sports = Away win.

How many games can we afford to lose from now on?
Saints foreva replied to CWD's topic in The Saints
I personally think these four results will cost us our promotion place come May: Saints 0-1 Plymouth Saints 1-1 Leyton Orient Saints 0-2 Rochdale Saints 0-0 Colchester -
What will Charlton do with their game in hand tonight
Saints foreva replied to thefunkygibbons's topic in The Saints
Charlton are an example of how poor the league is compared to last season. They lost three key players in the Summer and replaced them with players who are not as good as the players who departed, yet here they are with a great chance at a top two spot. -
The reason why I stopped paying for Saints Player is because of the poor away coverage we got. It was just The Football League highlights which are very similar to the BBC highlights. They just add replays. I would also like to see them put a couple of classic games on the Player. SaintsTV had loads of classic matches on there.

SAINTS CELEBRATE 125 YEARS at the Mayflower Feb 13th 2011

Were there? -
I don't care how we play as long as we're celebrating promotion come the end of the season.
-
There's the winner from Camara. Wish I could find some highlights for this though. *I suspect Sky/Premier League will take that video down asap.
-
He was awful but the cheers were very disappointing to hear. No need for that, you could tell from his body language that he was disappointed with his performance. Unlucky lad.

Very poor from Saints today. Thankfully we were playing a poor side like Carlisle who didn't really seem to have any type of attacker on the pitch. Guly was awful, didn't battle enough for me and gave up a lot of 50/50 balls. He has not impressed me since signing permanently - drop him for the next game Adkins. That Leicester guy was quite poor, kept over hitting his touch and missed a sitter. Forte looked quick and very energetic but also gave away some silly fouls and looked awkward on the ball. Good to see Lallana back, thought he did well and linked up well with others around him. Chambo done great for the goal, worked very hard through-out the match. Lambert wasn't great, but scored a goal. Hammond was our MOTM for me, he was everywhere. Won so many 50/50 balls and hit some nice passes. Overall we will need to play much better if we're to beat Rochdale next weekend.
-
LOL I say my concern and I get sarcastic ****e like this. Notts County (H) - He kept giving the ball away and missed a great chance at passing it to Oxo for an open goal. Tranmere (A) - He was only mentioned by Solent once or twice. Didn't sound like he was in the game. Man Utd (H) - He kept giving the ball away and missed a sitter. Peterborough (A) - Did he even do anything? Seemed like he couldn't be ****ed and kept giving the ball away. Start him on the bench for Carlisle, could do him some good.

Rickie Lambert - League One Top Scorer Again?
Saints foreva replied to georgeweahscousin's topic in The Saints
How many did he have this time last season? -
Anyone else getting concerned about Guly? Since he has signed permanently he has been very disappointing compared to his form in the run up to his loan deal ending - Another case of a player only playing for a bigger contract, like Saganowski? Wouldn't surprise me, I personally hoped we would have extended the loan deal till the end of the season as he had been very on and off. Hopefully he is dropped vs Carlisle. It could actually help him recapture some form.
-
So? We threw a two goal lead twice. Very concerned.
-
Throwing a two goal lead twice isn't a good sign. League one next season for sure.
-
**** result, should be beating sides like that. Sky curse strikes again. Will be surprised if we go up.

Another new manager for one of our promotion rivals...
Saints foreva replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Bad news, Sheffield Wednesday are easily good enough for top two under a decent manager.
