  1. I think everyone knows that the fairest way is a points system, you'd have to be utterly mental to think that people who've only done homes games deserve priority to those that have done aways too. Likewise i'd probably "weight" games too, so first round cup games worth more than a home game against a big club (who should be the lowest), likewise midweek away at Swansea or Stoke should be worth more than a cup game at Arsenal where we get 15% of capacity. Also by the same logic the away game to Israel should count for significantly more than any other game we'd have played all season. I know a fair few other clubs run this kind of system - Spurs for example - and it seems by far the fairest. Especially since season ticket holders start with a significant number of points each season, but members can catch them and over take if they do more games.
  2. It's about rewarding loyalty not just giving money to the club. Those that do aways, when set against the people that have done the same amount of homes, are clearly more loyal and therefore deserve the first choice in the line.
  3. Fairest way would be home games + away games, then count down from there, with season ticket holders as priority.
  4. Not meaning to jump on you but why the hell wouldn't you be singing at our second only cup final in 30+ years?
  5. Needs some work for sure, hence why i stuck in here as i figured people could work out the ending to get it working instead of something generic and sh*t. Surely with the right people we can get this to happen? Can't think of a single club that uses a Roses tune despite them being loved by a large swathe of football fans
  6. Peter Shilton, Jimmy Case, Frank Worthington, Alan Ball and Mark Hughes would stand out for me amongst those you mention. Mind you i think only Keegan really had the shock factor of being a truly major signing.
  7. I figured i'd get in here before one of our resident geniuses/idiots decides to rhyme Italy with Pompey again (seriously why do we do this!? So far Cortese hated them - might of heard of them probably doesn't care - and now Hojbjerg hates them - almost certainly has no idea who they are). So i figured what about something different, original, easy to remember and sticks in your head... To the tune of Sally Cinnamon by the Stone Roses (for the nippers and oldies that don't know it it's this ) Until Gabi we were never happy, We wanted so much more. From league one back to the Premier, St Mary's would roar. Join my tears, Allay my fears. Sent to me from heaven mano gabbiadini you're my world Only thing i'd say is these two lines could be changed Join my tears, Allay my fears. But i haven't figured out to what yet.
  8. Yup, a fair bit to be honest some of which i've mentioned on here in the past some of which i'm not going to go into in detail here because it'll give them away.
  9. I know my version is correct because it came from one of the players. Hope that helps.
  10. Spot on, although you've also missed the bit where he acted a d*ck round the club to force a move so he wouldn't have to forgo his loyalty "bonus" and when that didn't work and he realised he was being held to his contract he had to hand in his transfer notice to leave. Though at that point he still believed he was moving to Everton due to certain promises (hence his cryptic message to Lovern on instagram) that obviously didn't happen and he was left with a much smaller choice of options.
  11. Definitely taking my flag along, have to say I'm not a massive fan of the fancy dress ultra sh*t. Though the camera thing isn't too bad just wonder if it'll be too light to notice it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Best video i've seen so far of the celebrations is this one only brief still but you see more of the away end and can clearly see just what utter f*cking carnage it was!
  13. Seems fair to me, personally i'm not too fussed by this result, it's sh*t to lose like this at home but it's not the end of the world.
  14. The fact that aren't videos is why the support was so good. Instead filming on their phones the day out our support was getting involved. And that celebration!!! My shins look like they've gone ten rounds with mike Tyson today but I don't care Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hate to say it but I'm sure the fact that it was a hardcore of our support last night and not the big game day trippers made a huge difference. Great away support from us and THAT celebration when long scored will live for me for a long time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Significantly late for work (despite sorting it to work in Liverpool), hanging out of my f*cking arse and I think I've put my back out pilling down the away end when we scored, but f*ck me was it worth it!! Last night was why I would never in my life even consider being a plastic, tv watching, glory hunting *****! The emotions when we scored and the knowledge that after almost going out of business and being relegated twice we're going to Wembley in a major final is just incredible. So, so f*cking of my club, our fans and my city right now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Could've been a police recommendation too maybe? This was the days before the bubble and the first game against them in a long, long time. Hampshire police might've recommended a larger allocation so there weren't pockets of skates hanging around the streets
  18. To be fair the stories written isn't it? Us holding out till the end of extra time and the one of our ex players scoring in the last minute, so TV can talk about how plucky we are, our support talk about "what if Van Dijk" and the press patronise us for how well we've done, but how it's a magical moment at Anfield and shows why the players move there. I really f*cking hope i'm wrong, but...
  19. In my long years of watching Saints play every single one of those things you've said points towards us getting royally thumped and going out!
  20. Mixture of excitement and bricking it about this game, so nervous and the head says we're going to lose it, but just can't get around the thought that we're 90mins away from a major final.
  21. Absolutely spot on, i couldn't put it any better myself.
  22. Mirrors what i've heard, though not with the detail of the 15%. From what i understand the deal was done early this month
  23. Liverpool (home) League cup Chelsea (home) ZDS Watford FA cup MK Dons JPT pretty short change really for the 30 odd years i've been going. That said, and despite the fact i think we'll probably lose tonight, i can't help but have that childlike excitement about a game like this. Semi finals of cups are EXACTLY the thing that should get you up for it, and even though my head says it's going to be painful i'm still going to go to both legs and sing my heart out.
  24. respectfully that's boll*cks, if that was the case how come so many would go from the Echo to work at the club? Or maybe you're talking about threatening letters that certain ex chairmen sent to people?
